Guest Reviews
- Abdel (7/5): -
- SANZAR Travel (5/5): Great location, apartment needs attention. - Location was great. The apartment needs maintenance. The bed in the second bedroom's legs were broken, the curtain in the main room is still missing, only the sheer curtain, so the city lights shine into the room. We opened the fridge and the smell that came from it was awful, so we just didnt open it again. The towel rail in the ensuite has damaged the bathroom door and the towel hook on the bathroom door needs fixing. The one wire on the balustrade on the balcony is broken.
- pragin (3/5): Poor Customer Service - Book through Xeria Apartments for your stay at Rockwell Instead - Norah who checks you in was great. Luckily I had her number. She provided great service. 1.Geyser worked intermittently. No real concern from managing agent.
2. No curtain lining in main bedroom, so with the light on, you can probably be seen from outside when changing at night
3. Shower leaks badly as per reports in previous reviews but not fixed.
4. Hand shower in main bedroom tub is broken. ( there is only a tub there so a hand shower is necessary)
5. I could not get access to the parking due to technical issues. Security is not allowed to help - these are rules.- They can only assist Xeria Apartment Guests. The Managing agent at Rockwell Views did not answer my call and I had to park on the street. Norah tried her best. Luckily I got her number when I checked in.
6. Rockwell is a great building and great location but rather book through Xeria Apartments as they manage a number of units as well as the reception and can attend to any maintenance or parking issues immediately. They cannot assist with privately owned units like Rockwell Views.
I feel that the owners and managing agents of Rockwell Views - Unit 305 failed in basic customer service - seems like once they have your money, that's all that matters.
A little bit of attention to maintenence and customer service is necessary.
- Niel (8/5): - It was my second time at the property due to location The property need some maintenance:
- The block out curtain in the main bedroom has broken off and not been replaced
- The shower leaks quite badly, and has been like this since my first visit
- The duvet cover (which I asked to be replaced during my first stay), made its way back and has no buttons to close the inner
- No bedside tables in the main which is a bit annoying
- Udhir (5/5): Rockwell Views 305 Not what we expected. - Location, easy to get to anywhere in and around Cape Town. Close to shops and V&A waterfront, Table Mountain etc. WiFi was good. We did not hear from the agent or company since making the booking through booking. Com, I had to call them 2 days before we arrived. The other issue was that the number used on the booking email did not work or ring several times. Even upon check in, I called several times and gt a "number did not exist. The reception at rockwell also tried. Once removing the +27 code then it rang. Apartment was not clean. No cleaning stuff to wash dishes, 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, microwave not working on day 1, this was replaced the same evening after notify the agent. Weirdly, the broken microwave was left in the entrance as u enter the apartment, the rest of our trip. Not sure why on earth host didn't take it away when replacing it. Undercover parking was an ongoing issue with my family being told to wait on the roadside, as the security boom gate didn't recognise our vehicle number plate. Happened several times. This being down to the Admyt app and had to message the agent several times. Not great. Ventilation in the bathroom is poor, no fan or extraction when showering. Fridge freezer part leaked. Rust on inside. No scourer to wash dishes, after asking for it, a cloth was brought and we made do with that, this wasn't great. Basic detergent, dishwashing liquid was 100ml in a 750ml bottle. We bought our own detergent for the bathroom. Aircon leaked a yellow liquid in the balcony all trip, balcony was not clean at all. Didn't even try to sit outside. Towels were not changed all trip, had to dry them ourselves, Not sure if my message was given to agent aa booking. Com sent me an email saying they sent my requests to agent. Vacuum cleaner was full of dirt, had to vaccum the apartment. Not great. Stayed here in the same building twice before and was great. This was not a good experience. The agent did try but some basics need to be adhered too. Basics amenities.
- Mojalefa (9/5): Superb -
- Niel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shona (4/5): Disappointing - The property has broken cupboards in the kitchen and is really not up to standard for a property of that price per night.
Front door does not work properly you battle tk open it. Toilet does not always flush and grubby painting touch ups in the walls. Just not what I was expecting for the price
- Lerato (10/5): Exceptional -
- Quinta (8/5): Very good - The location was good. Close to all our activities for the weekend. The smoking smell in the one room's closet.
- Bruno (8/5): Great - Location and view Satisfactory conditions
- Mucha (8/5): Very good -
- Krister65 (3/5): Poor - Location. The apartment was is a poor condtion. We couldnt reach the balcony coz of renovation. Thats was one of the mainreason why we booked it. The beds was horrible. When was they changed? Never?
The shower was leaking water out of the whole floor.
Bad
- Peter (4/5): Would I recommend it ? No. Would I stay there again ? No - The apartment looks tired. Front door scrapes- broken kitchen cupboard hinges-bedside table falling apart- rusty barstools- panel missing on the side of the bath- balcony was a mess due to repairs and the Netflix wasnt working. Not to mention the arrogant , rude attitude of the building security when I was having issues accessing the basement parking.
