Guest Reviews
- Sianlou (9/5): Great location, clean and well equiped rooms. Perfect for a short break - Great location, clean and well equiped rooms. Perfect for a short break I stayed in a triple previously and we had lockers, the double had storage.
- Elise (9/5): Superb -
- Woon (10/5): Nice coastal lodge with amenities for long term stay - Interior was nicely decorated and not cluttered, plenty of spaces to have a meal, play chess, an outdoor area for BBQ, and a separate area for smoking. There is also a laundry area you can access - 1 pack of laundry detergent was provided with the room which came in handy. Other guests were respectful; as the lodge mostly targets long term stays, others staying there took care of it as if this is their own home. In terms of location, it's a few minutes walk to the shops and restaurants. Point Nepean National Park is nearby. No hairdryer in the room.

- Belinda (8/5): A lovely and very comfortable surprise. - Sorrento Lodge was a very pleasant surprise. We imagined a small hotel rather than a clever and lovely conversion of an older place. Obviously with younger (than us!) travellers in mind, there is ample space to relax and a modern, well-equipped kitchen to prepare your own meals. Our room was a 'couples room' with 2 big single beds pushed together. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was good and everything is still very new. The tv screens confused us a little but the instructions are there. We would definitely book In if that way again. Nothing
- Harrison (9/5): Superb - Big beds. Lovely big bathroom with a terrific shower. Spacious place and very new. A little map would have been handy. Took me a while to find the laundry.
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Lamby1986 (8/5): Perfect for what we needed. - The check in process was really easy, quick and painless. The staff member was really lovely and the place was very clean and tidy. Although it was a dorm style place, we felt very safe and only saw 2 other people in the common lounge and kitchen the whole time we were there. The room was very spacious, it wasn't noisy (on a Thursday night- cant speak about a sat night). We thought it was value for money and the location was better and closer to the main street than we expected. We would be back. we had a small fridge, but no kettle in the room. I know there is a kettle in the communal kitchen, but when I'm in my Pjs i didn't want to go out of the room.
Personal preference- the pillows were way too thin. Maybe a back up in the cupboard would have made my sleep better.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Ana (7/5): It suited our purpose - It was a nice, clean and quiet room The fact that we couldn’t get any refund considering one of our friends wasn’t well and couldn’t come and I let the place know a few days prior to our stay. Paid for three and only two came. Nobody gets sick by dates
- Kate (6/5): Pleasant -
- Eoin (8/5): Very good -
- Mason (5/5): Precharge when my preferred method of payment would’ve been cash. - That my credit card was charged after the website pacifically said there was an option to pay at the Property when I rang to enquire about why my credit card was charged I was told basically bad luck
- Buttigieg (8/5): Very good - Location and style of accomodation TV set-up in room
- Leon (7/5): Good -
- Corinna (7/5): Very enjoyable - Very quiet and had everything you needed for the stay
- Ali (9/5): Superb -
- Derek (5/5): pretty poor for the price. - No Breakfast available, Well, I was given a price of #168 but was charged $174 + $5.00 for parking which was 3mtrs from the normal parking area which was of no advantage at all, good job my phone was charged as I received the message that morning about the entry code and the parking otherwise I wouldn't have had access to the Lodge, to sum up I would not stay there again, it was nothing but an expensive Back packers accommodation. kitchen was a joke, dirty dishes everywhere ,no Coffee, sugar,1 cup available, obviously the other people had taken them to their rooms to make sure they had cups etc in the morning. not the best experience , doors banging during the night when people went outside for a smoke also the outside lights came on at that point.

- Kathy (8/5): Friendly - Cast to Chromecast... you should offer "free to air "TV
- Raghu (8/5): Value for money hotel in Sorrento - Good value for money hotel. It also doubles up as a shared workplace / live-in space accommodation. I found the inmates a friendly and helpful bunch of residents.
- Katherine (6/5): Pleasant - Staff were fairly unfriendly and charged us for an extra person despite booking a whole room and not using any other bedding or towels.
- Rob (9/5): Superb -
- Kenya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mathew (7/5): Good -
- Hannah (8/5): Very good -
- Sefedin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Schramm (8/5): Very good -
- Jeanette (6/5): Overall great value and except for an issue with the controls. We would stay again - We liked the caretaker (Matt?)who helped us understand the issue with the air conditioner controls The air conditioner could not be turned off due to faulty controls. We got severely blocked sinuses and felt awful after a whole night with cold air blowing on us.
- Glenn (9/5): Superb - Location and value were excellent.
- Genevieve (2/5): Very average - location, cleanliness good the rest a lot to be desired. - The location, cleanliness were good. The whole experience was a total disaster. The property is actually a boarding house with permanent residents and certainly organised to have short term quests.
The staff have been thrown into the deep end and obviously very frustrated and this sadly causing rudeness. The communication was non existent by phone and email with early checking and trying to an extra guest weeks before never acknowledged results in them having to find other accommodation, me arriving with uncertainty and even though complete lack of ability to communicate being told on arrival I couldn’t have door code even 5mins before checking to unload and get ready for a wedding!! Upon checking out - very keen to leave - I was told payment system wasn’t working and not able to process through booking.com, no eftpos facility so ended up leaving and getting them to call later Re physical card details - which never happened. Hopefully one day they will get the place organised, be upfront about it being as it is, as it is clean, newly appointed bathrooms and comfortable.

- Nat (8/5): Comfortable stay in a terrific location - Amazing location Noisy door outside our room
- Catherine (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (8/5): Great facilities and close to shops and beach. - Inside had been fully renovated and was clean and new. 🥰 The exterior was very off putting, it looks like an institution of sorts. The communal kitchen wasn’t very clean, however I understand this is hard to maintain at the end of a day due to its constant use by others.

- Robert (8/5): Very good - Very clean room and close to shops. Just a suggestion.. maybe information could be given at check in on how to work tv.
- Vivian (9/5): Great location!! Value for money👍 -
- Jo (9/5): Best bang for buck on the peninsula - Can't fault it for the price in this location. Hostel style but with private bathroom options. We booked a private twin room but were given a 5 bed dorm to ourselves. Looks like it is very newly built with improvements ongoing (but nothing that detracted from our stay e.g. car park was being worked on but there was plenty of parking right outside on the street). Very clean, comfy beds, mounted screens you can cast to, mini fridges, storage lockers, nice lounge and outdoor areas. Friendly down to earth staff that would greet us and suggest local recommendations. Entirely online/in-app checkin and checkout with electronic keys that was super smooth and convenient. Walk to Sorrento back beach and awesome trails, and to the high street with cafes, shops, restaurants. The communal kitchen whilst a handy facility to have was suffering a little more than most from the "communal" aspect and relying on everyone to maintain standards. There was the usual signed policies on keeping clean, labelling, discarding etc but being a little more stringent/regular on enforcing these would help. It might just be that we came in after the super busy usage times or that there is a high proportion of long-termers there but some simple re-organising/culling would go a long way.
- Brett (10/5): Exceptional - Staff
- Barbara (8/5): Very good - Met our needs
- Ashley (8/5): Great location and good value for money -
- Andrew (8/5): Good value accommodation for Sorrento - Good value for Sorrento, basic but satisfactory accommodation mostly used by young people working locally
We had no problems and enjoyed our stay but given that most of the residents were under 30 there is the possibility of late noise and partying - great if that is what you want! See above
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hanh (8/5): Very good -
- Aydan (5/5): A property with potential - The room was ok. The entire building pretty good, fairly new. The property isn’t being managed. There were off smells throughout, the entire building needs a good, deep clean, especially kitchen, dinning area with disinfectants. Towels need a good dose of eucalyptus to freshen. No bath mats. Smokers & vaping room/space abolished - the smells spread around the property entering the rooms - rooms already lack fresh air. You can also hear people in the other rooms & people walking down the hall. Can be a sleepless night stay for some.
- Lyn (10/5): Very large room and shared areas. Extremely clean and reception staff very friendly - Large room and great location
- Kylie (9/5): Superb - Very friendly & extremely helpful staff.
A great option, reminds me of my backpacking experiences, but much more modern and comfortable. TV didn't work on 1st night.
I asked for help 2nd night & was shown how to connect using phone & QR code. (Insteuctions could 've provided before first night)
- Tatiana (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful place with great staff
