- Mirela (1/5): - Total disaster – dirty, improvised, unhealthy. AVOID at all costs!
This was by far one of the worst accommodation experiences I’ve ever had. HUBBUB PECKHAM in London is a poorly assembled, patched-together mess, made with leftover materials, as if it were thrown together in a rush without any concern for safety or comfort.
We were a group of 6, but we only received bedding for 4 people. Completely unacceptable and careless.
Even worse, the place is located in a basement, which is not mentioned anywhere in the listing. Naturally, it comes with a strong smell of dampness and mold that hangs in the air – very unpleasant and borderline unhealthy.
The cleanliness was nonexistent. Water was literally leaking from the floor, and the laminate flooring was installed directly over carpet – a bizarre and unhygienic setup. The floor was swollen, slippery, and unstable.
The sinks are ridiculously small, barely usable without splashing everywhere. Every corner of the place feels like the cheapest fix possible, with zero thought put into quality or guest comfort.
In short: a complete disaster. I would never stay here again, and I absolutely do not recommend it to anyone. With so many decent options in London, this place should be at the bottom of your list – or not on it at all.
- Susan (4/5): Okay for someone in need of a place to stay and can’t seem to find another option. - The location is close to Peckham Rye station which is convenient for movement The house is stuffy, smells a little like mold because the floor is wooden and the house seems to have a lot of leaks. WiFi only worked for 50% of the stay
