• Louise (6/5): A great property but a poor guest experience. - Great apartment in a very convenient area for my work. Comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. The pre-check in 'onboarding' on the app is a pain. Information about check-in is often rationed until the last minute and is not always reliable when it does arrive - for example, I wasn't sent the code required to pick up the key from the shop (which is inconvenient, as the shop is a ten-minute walk away from the property). I was also sent incorrect instructions on how to access the property. It's a real shame because this is a lovely property but everything seems designed to squeeze extra money out of guests - from encouraging the purchase of alternative check-in and check-out times, to the inducement to buy property protection rather than pay a five-hundred-pound deposit which may or may not be returned in good time. I have repeatedly requested an invoice to submit to my employer, but I am still waiting ten days later. For a property of this price, I would also expect a small welcome pack - even a couple of coffee pods or a tea bag would be useful for late-night arrivals. I know that this is a business, but it all feels very 'grabby' for something that is already very expensive.
• James (8/5): Great place - a few niggles - Lovely place and great location. Code for key pickup arrived late and took a a couple of prompts to receive. Directions to the property were not great and it took some searching to actually find the location. Refrigerator was not working - informed on first day, but remained not working for full duration of stay (5 nights) - resorted to buying ice blocks from the local shop to keep some things cool.
