- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant - Floor creaked badly fire place was not set no kindling no paper no firelighters no matches had to freeze 1st night no axe to cut kindling when we did lite fire next day the floor boards got worse oven would not heat up temperature knob did not work took over 1&a half hour to heat a lasagne
- Kaylah (6/5): Pleasant - Bermagui is a beautiful little town. We visit often. This was our first stay at sapphire lodge.
House is a short drive to beaches and the main street. The timber floors were very noisy. They really need to be replaced or fixed. The timber floor moves from under your feet. When using the bathroom during the night woke everyone in the house due to the creeking of the timber boards. Plus once the first person is awake in the morning, it wakes everyone just from the noise from walking on the timber floors.
- Danilo (1/5): Terrrible Poprer - It is just a few minutes aldrive from the shops and beaches We booked from the 26th of December. From our first day, we did not have hot showers and we cannot cook as the stove was not running. I think they just ran out of gas. We immediately contacted the property manager and followed up a lot of times. I contacted booking. com and they tried to contact the Property Manager but no response at all.
This should have been a quick fixed and I can call their supplier if they just bother to answer my calls/emails and messages. Things like these happen but at the very least, the property manager should be contactable.
Our holiday became so bad as we did not have hot showers and was not able to cook.
The gate is also worn/broken down - I have pictures.
It was my first time to file a complaint to booking.com and to their credit, they immediately responded and took action. Unfortunately, anyone from the property is MIA (Missing in Action).
- Kylie (5/5): Passable - The property was clean, and well located. Lots of available parking. They had books, games etc so that was a thoughtful touch. There was an active wasp nest on one of the outside verandah beams. The external gate hinge is broken, and unable to be shut meaning it really wasn’t a secure yard. Check first if you intend to take a pet. The toilet seat was broken, and every time you stepped anywhere, the floor creaked.
The lounges and bunk beds are not very comfortable. While ok for a night or two, the property is overpriced in comparison to what else is available locally.
I made a couple of contact attempts to the property owners as I had a car issue & was concerned I was not going to make it. The number provided was not connected & my messages through booking.com went unanswered.
I sent a private message to report the wasp nest, broken external gate etc and that also went unanswered.
- Daniel (5/5): The use of the property is ok , but needs to be throughly cleaned and maintained to a much higher living standard . - The property location and size of the was ok . The property wasn’t very clean , the bathroom , bedrooms and entire house need a good clean from top to bottom there are numerous spider webs throughout . All the fixtures throughout the house and bathroom need attention , the construction is very poorly built and not to standards .
- Adele (6/5): Pleasant - Lots of space. Nice layout of the house. Comfortable beds. Nice linen. Clean. Loved the deck and the kangaroo watching. Loved Bermagui! Hard to work oven, fridge bit noisy. No reverse cycle a/c for heating or cooling. Would be cold inside if weather was cool (unless you light wood heater). No dining table inside (only bar table with two stools and outside table). No wifi.
- Andrew (9/5): Excellent location host was easy to connect with -
- Anne (7/5): Good - The place was near the activities we had on and the wild life . Kangaroos One roll of toilet paper for two people for four nights. They may just forgot to leave more out the cabinet was locked couldn't get more out
- Chris987 (7/5): Good for a weekend family get away with the fur kids - It was a quiet area, our dog could join us, and it was nice to watch the kangaroos grazing across the road. With five of us we would have found an inside kitchen/dining table useful, but made do for our short stay with the coffee table.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hawthorne (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful place! We loved the design, the wood fire, and all the kangaroos 😄🦘
