- Stephen (9/5): Very enjoyable few days break away from town life. - Was self catering but the host kindly left milk for our arrival. Location was good, with great views from the back garden over the fields at the back. Nice and quiet location away from a main road. Only down side was the roadworks in the village, although were signposted, involved a 20 minute de tour down back lanes to reach Kirkby Lonsdale instead of the 5 minutes it should. But was not a major issue and am sure the works have now finished. Great stay. Good footpath close by to reach the River Lune Ramble for a walk into Kirkby Lonsdale. Apart from the unfortunate road works there did not appear, or we did not find, to be any local shop or pub within the village so is a good idea to get all stock before arrival.

- Ronald (9/5): Exceeded my expectations in all respects. -
- Anne (9/5): Cosy cottage in a great location - Warm, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed.
- moti (10/5): - This beatiful cottage is more like a home, very well cared for. It has comfortable beds we slept with a view to the green fields lots of trees and sheep.
The house is well equiped with all yiu need for cooking. Located central to our visiting this beautiful part of England.
I nice surprise was that the neighbors felt just as much hosts as Steve. Making us very welcome.
This is very much recommended.
- Linda (6/5): It was ok tge location was good towels and bedding white and clean. The sofas at least need urgently replacing - Location and parking .views at the rear were beautiful and to say there were a few houses terraced amazingly quiet. Upstairs was fine but downstairs was very dated. The sofas were uncomfortable and stained with throws over them and arm caps from a different sofa. Kitchen too was very dated but clean.the key lock was in a really silly place low down by a wall, fortunately we got there in daylight and it wasn’t raining. That definitely needs relocating to eye level
- Andreea (10/5): - We had such a wonderful time at the cottage. It was perfectly comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. We loved the beautiful scenery and the stunning landscape surrounding the property. A special highlight was making friends with the sheep!
The location is amazing for anyone looking to enjoy hikes and scenic cycle routes. We truly loved our time here and wholeheartedly recommend it.
A huge thank you to the hosts for making our stay so memorable.
- Iuliana (10/5): Amazing place close to Yorkshire dales; good size bedrooms - Amazing location and place to explore Yorkshire dales. Or even Lake district and the coast. We used it as a base to explore Yorkshire dales and the coast near by. Shops and restaurants 2/3miles away. What could have been better- maybe more kitchen foil or baking paper available.
- Subhadeep (10/5): Had a lovely stay at Barley cottage. The cottage was really clean and very comfortable. It had all the necessary ameniti - Very clean, well maintained and comfortable. Nothing in specific.
- Veronika (8/5): - Lage, Ruhe, Ausstattung des Hauses
- Mark (10/5): - Had a great stay. Everything needed was at hand & the cottage was well situated for visiting family & day visits to the lakes and Yorkshire dales.

- Chappie (10/5): - Excellent location set in a quiet village. Only 2 miles from local amenities. Ideal base to explore the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything for a perfect holiday. Nothing
- Jackie (10/5): Comfortable and cosy retreat - Everything was perfect
Comfortable and private All absolutely wonderful
- Isabella (9/5): Superb - House was super cosy and had everything you needed - it was a really lovely touch to get a bottle of wine and biscuits on arrival! Also so lovely to walk out the back and see lambs. Very close proximity to the lakes (the reason we stayed), easy journey in and out. Probably not a problem for most people, but my partner is quite tall and the beds were quite small which made it uncomfortable so we ended up sleeping in different rooms. As I said, maybe not an issue for most but something to consider!
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, lovely cottage with amazing views, everything we needed. Helpful, friendly owner. Nothing

- Simonn (9/5): Comfortable, cosy cottage 😊 - We loved this cute little cottage, a great place to explore the lake district and Yorkshire Dale's from, located in a nice quiet village. It has off-street parking, which is great! The owner was friendly and helpful. The kitchen was good, and had what we needed. The cottage has a beautiful outlook onto an estate behind it. We would have appreciated a small amount of milk on our arrival, as we arrived late and the nearest shop was already closed. This is only minor, and we hope this feedback is helpful!
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): The cottage was in a perfect location, 30 mins drive to the coast or loads of walks in the area, 30 mins drive to Winder - The cottage was lovely and cosy, it felt like a home away from home Nothing.

- Linda (8/5): Quiet location with good views and access to walks from the property - Comfortable house with plenty of extras to make stay comfortable. Heating wasn't working on arrival with -5 temperature outside. Feel this should have been checked before our arrival. Prompt response on reporting issue. Limited phone signal.
- Jackie (10/5): Great cottage, a home from home. - Lovely cosy cottage. Very comfortable and well equipped. Communication from owner was very good. 😊 Nothing apart from the weather 😂

- Anne (9/5): Comfortable and cosy - A superb base for exploring the 3 counties of Cumbria, Lancashire & N Yorkshire. Very comfortable cosy cottage with lovely views across Estate fields behind. Dog friendly with great walks on the doorstep. Parking was a bit tight and the garden tiny but neither a problem to us.
