- Craig (10/5): -
- Roger (9/5): - Close to town centre. Comfortable accommodation. Quiet location. No washing up liquid.
- Ronald (10/5): Excellent t - It was just a very nice and comfortable house well appointed and maintained.
A good location for the centre of Cockermouth and the A66.

- Becky (7/5): -
- Morag (8/5): - Great location
- Linda (9/5): Good weekend had by all - Good communication after booking the property with the hosts, ease of checking in with a ‘tablet’ to provide access to important information and local recommendations
The house was warm on arrival, the house was clean and met all the descriptions of the property. Short walk into Cockermouth, even the rain didn’t put us off with plenty of choice of eating places Nothing

- Robert (8/5): Excellent property, well located for the western and northern lakes. - Comfortable, clean and well equipped property. Not always able to park outside.
- Adrienne (6/5): Great Location for Cockermouth and surrounding areas. - Location was good easy walk into Cockermouth. Parking was ok we managed to get parked easily. Large kitchen with all utensils etc. 3 bedrooms light and airy. Comfortable beds and nice linen. We had breakfast in the town. Went on a trip to Maryport. Plenty supermarkets close by. Disappointed with the bathroom which needs some attention.
No dishcloth no cleaning products. The oven took some working out to use.
- Frank (9/5): -
- Keith (8/5): Great location in town - Central with all facilities It rained too much
- Weymouth (8/5): Daffodil House - After an initial problem with the cleanliness of the oven and microwave, we contacted the property manager, and they got straight onto getting cleaners back in, and all the oven pans were replaced. It was promptly dealt with, which was good.
Beds were comfortable, and everything we needed was supplied. The location was brilliant, an easy walk to town and central to all places in Cumbria. Parking wasn't always available outside the house, but there was plenty of parking further down the street. So, it's not really a problem.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (7/5): Good -
- Gail (9/5): Superb -
- Lucy (9/5): Great place to stay in Cockermouth - Tastefully decorated house with a comfy sofa and comfortable bed. Nice hot electric shower. It is only a 5 minute walk down to the main street in Cockermouth, as well as two big supermarkets. The host was very communicative and helpful. Our large dog was able to join us free of charge, and he was comfortable here. There is only on-street parking, which is the norm in Cockermouth. However we never struggled to find a parking space with our large vehicle. There are also no parking restrictions on the road.
- Samir (8/5): Very good -
- † (8/5): Very good -
- Peaty86 (9/5): Superb -
- Linda (8/5): Very good - Comfortable little house in a good location. Nice quiet area. Kitchen cupboards and drawers smelled a bit musty and probably need to be aired out.
- Francesca (7/5): Great value and location - Great location in Cockermouth, about a ten minute walk from all the amenities and a lots of good walks within a 30 minute drive away. The bed in the smaller double bedroom is small! Whilst it sleeps six, you’d struggle to seat 6 comfortably in the living room. Also found it a little odd that we weren’t supplied with enough toilet roll for the duration of our stay. I’ve never had to but my own toilet roll in holiday rental before , there’s always been a stash. Also no dishwasher tablets supplied, again odd. One for every other day of our stay would have done us. Or failing that, more than one tea towel to dry up with.
- Lindsey (9/5): Lovely clean and comfortable little house, just a short drive from plenty of attractions. - Plenty of space, fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds. Personally would have like tv’s in the bedrooms for the evenings. The living room sofa was a squash for a family of 4 so couldn’t relax very well on an evening
- June (9/5): Colourful house - Good location, bright and colourful decor throughout.
Good size TV with Netflix
always a plus. Complimentary tablet a brilliant idea, plenty of information from the owners. Cheers!! Disappointed with the garden as it was overgrown with weeds, and also an uncomfortable bistro set which was placed next to the rubbish bins. So unfortunately we refrained from using. Also I'd like to make a point for safety if I may. The decking outside the door is very slippery when wet, could be dangerous for young children and older adults.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful house in a beautiful town.
- Simon (10/5): We had a fantastic time with all we needed. - Location was great with supermarkets and Main Street nearby ( note that it is a hill)The use of iPad as a welcome was a great idea. There was easy access to the lakes. Parking is on street so a lottery as to whether there is a space nearby. Generally not a problem though.
- Mason (8/5): Lovely house, Cockermouth is a really nice village which is in walking distance. - Lovely sized rooms and comfy beds. The shower didn’t work very well and the water was cold.
- Christina (9/5): Enjoyable break - It had everything we needed. Great location. Just a short walk downhill to the town Heating thermostat wasn't easy to change
- Emma (9/5): Beautiful, great location, family & dog friendly. - We had a fantastic stay at Daffodil House & didn’t want to leave! Central location & within walking distance of shops, pubs and beautiful scenery. Daffodil House had all we needed for a fantastic stay (including being dog-friendly - for our hairy family member!) Access to Netflix & YouTube was an added bonus - particularly for our 12 year old! Lucy gave me tips prior to booking, for where to visit which was so helpful - afternoon tea at Bassenthwaite Lake Station was amazing! There was an issue with the shower on our first day - but was sorted without issue or disruption the next day - thanks to Lucy & all at Rolcor for sorting so quickly & efficiently and for the great communication, we really appreciated it.
- Shaun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katherine (10/5): Delightful house - Clean, comfortable, roomy. Lovely things like hand wash, shower wash and tea & coffee. Tricky to park
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (9/5): Fantastic - great location in vibrant town, great house and beautiful quiet part of lakes on doorstep - Wonderful decoration and bright pretty style. A coffee machine was missing for us
- Nancy (7/5): NICE, MODERN, COSY FAMILY COTTAGE - The location was excellent within easy access to the village - walking distance Parking was a pain sometimes but you could always find space nearby.
- Myrtle2013 (9/5): Great stay - Great property
Good location
Very comfy
Great owners
Good communication Minor points.
Some key kitchen equipment missing but not the end of the world
On road parking is a bit hit and miss
- Clafico (9/5): Superb - Beautiful, clean home from home. Great location for a walk down to town and parking right outside the door. Little garden was great for our dog and must be lovely in the summer.
Thanks for a lovely stay in Daffodil House, Cockermouth.
- Denis (10/5): Beautiful house with great hosts - The house was beautiful and had everything we needed (cutlery, towels etc). There was parking and hosts were responsive to messages. Absolutely nothing.
- Lesley (10/5): Wonderful - It’s in a great location, spacious and very comfortable. It had everything we needed. It would be helpful to have some instructions for the shower and the oven. Also might be nice to have some pamphlets or info on the local area but really it’s a fantastic house
- Ruth (9/5): Great trip and would love to stay again - The house is very central and easy to walk into town. The back door handle was very stiff - just needs some wd40
- Jörg (9/5): A sweet and spacious little gem - The house was tastefully decorated and in general everything was very comfortable for our group and 5 night stay. A guest WC made a huge difference. Parking on the street was also easy. We appreciated the coffee, tea and sugar which saved us the hassle of lugging those around. The water pressure for the shower was not great for warm showers.
The house had a dishwasher and washing machine but tabs and washing powder were not available. Some extra rolls of toilet paper would have been nice and saved us some hassle. There did not seem to be extra tea towels for drying - only one hanging at the oven which had a stain. In the cupboard we found some old condiments which should have been left in the fridge as they had already been opened, perhaps left behind by other guests.
The non-stick frying pan had scratches - a health hazard in the case of Teflon coating.
There were only bath towels provided and nothing for the hands or feet.
We advise the owners to simply turn the extra freezer off as a default. We did not use it at all and found it a waste of electricity but did not want to deal with cleaning up a defrosted freezer.
- Andrew (10/5): Comfortable break near the lakes in a well appointed house. - Located nicely out of, but close to town.
Lovely rooms with a warm, contemporary and relaxing feel.
Nice private outdoor space too. Nothing to add at all.
- Ros (8/5): House well -presented, prompt response to any queries before and during stay, always able to park ca - Some of our party found the mattresses uncomfortable - too soft.
- Rolly (8/5): Very good -
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional - Location and facilities Parking on the street.
- Connor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lousie (9/5): Great property, really enjoyed our stay here. - Really lovely house, warm, comfortable and had everything we needed. very short wander to Cockermouth shops etc. easy to park outside. had some games to keep kids entertained. nothing.
- Helen (8/5): we had a really lovely stay…great house in a great location for exploring the lakes and enjoying cockermouth - really comfy and clean and plenty of space for us all. no issues parking. great Wi-Fi and nice having all the streaming apps available on the tv. lack of teaspoons and no spatula. downstairs toilet really cold. shower pressure not great and no bath mat with the towels. smaller double bedroom door doesn’t close to.
- Denise (9/5): Superb -
- Maxine (9/5): very nice - it was cosy and warm only 3 teaspoons, cooker hood and hob in need of deep clean, downstairs toilet very stained, outside rear door, pile of cigarette ends! no basic cleaning products.
back board behind fridge loose.
- Paul (10/5): Perfect stay - Wonderful stay, couldn’t recommend enough!
