Guest Reviews
- Sabina (10/5): -
- Emma (9/5): The breakfast was superb and the staff so helpful. I would stay here again and recommend it whole heartedly to anyone el - A short walk from St Peter’s Square and in a wonderful neighbourhood with a bus route and an excellent family run restaurant.
- Léopold (10/5): -
- Eoin (10/5): Beautiful stay host by Anna who was wonderful. Thanks again - Incredible setting so near everything you need
- Nelou (10/5): MAGIC. - This was one of the most magical stays I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The host was absolutely lovely and spent so much time showing me around the villa and telling me about its history. The breakfast (made fresh in the kitchen every morning) was absolutely exceptional! The best melt-in-your mouth pancakes and the loveliest croissants.
Aside from the unparalleled hospitality, the ease of coming and going with digital keys, privacy, comfort, and safety, I also very much appreciated the peace and beauty of this villa. And I was beyond grateful that the hosts accommodated my filming (went above and beyond to prepare an extra "breakfast" for me later in the day) so that I can take advantage of the light in the gardens.
I normally never return to an accommodation as I love to experience new things, but this place is truly special and I miss it dearly. The ambiance, the stunning furniture, the stunning and spacious checkered-floor bathroom... I cannot say enough good things. That I don't live here year-round, haha. Seriously, I miss it so much.
- Troy (10/5): Perfect Villa and host ! - Anna was a wonderful host and extremely helpful. The villa itself is perfectly located near the Vatican with great gardens and in a nice quiet street. Could not recommend more highly. Nothing
- Elena Ilina (10/5): - It was amazing weekend in Villa! Historical building, nice garden, feels like you leave in a museum. Very friendly and warm staff - special thanks to Anna for her professionalism and advice
- Rosa (9/5): -
- Ulf (10/5): - Traumhafte historische Villa ohne auf modernen Komfort verzichten zu müssen! Nichts
- Denise (10/5): - Lovely people and a wonderful experience at this historical abode.
- Bianka Marie (10/5): - Our stay at Villa Alberici was absolutely wonderful. The property is beautiful, combining classic Roman charm with modern comfort. The rooms were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, making it feel both elegant and welcoming. The location was excellent—close enough to enjoy the heart of Rome, but tucked away enough to feel peaceful after a day of sightseeing.
What really stood out was the hospitality. The hosts were warm, attentive, and always available for recommendations, making us feel like valued guests rather than just visitors. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with plenty of options to start the day right.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience—Villa Alberici truly felt like a home away from home. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome and would love to return on our next trip!
- Gabriela (10/5): Dream location and service when visiting Roma. - Exceptional setting, decor and service. You get transported to a different time of calm and style the moment you enter the property. Everyone goes the extra step to make your stay special.
Ana was extremely knowledgeable with great suggestions and original recommendations .
Pictures and words cannot describe the experience.
We will definitely come back. Nothing
- Holly (10/5): -
- Mazayya (10/5): My best stay in Rome! - My best stay in Rome. The villa is beautiful, quintessentially Roman with its historic charms preserved. Price is reasonable given the hike because of Jubilee Year and breakfast is included in the price. Location was great, buses take you directly to the city centre. Anna was amazing! Friendly and her recommendations were spot on. Definitely would come back.
- Charlotte (10/5): Great host, nice to be a little outside the intensi of the part of Rome. - Beautiful breakfast
- Grzegorz (10/5): Bardzo dziękujemy Pani Annie oraz pozostałym osobą z personelu za bardzo miłą obsługę. - Bardzo miła obsługa. Domowa atmosfera. Dobre śniadania. Pokoje czyste i zadbane.
- Christabel (10/5): - Everything about Villa Alberici
was fabulous from the historical buildings and garden, the very attentive Anna, the lovely gentleman who greeted us when we arrived and the lovely lady who made sure we were fed in the morning and not forgetting her signature cappuccino before our long day sightseeing.
Fabulous place to stay for sightseeing in Rome. There was nothing we didn't like.
- אנה (10/5): - Amazing place with history. Anna is most welcome attentive person we ever met! She gave attention to every detail in hotel and gave very detailed explanation about places in Rome we need to visit. We enjoyed every moment in this place Nothing
- Ennio (10/5): - la colazione eccezionale e stupefacente tutto era al massimo possibile
- Francisco Javier (10/5): - Todo en general El plato de ducha,un poco pequeño
- Alexander (10/5): This is an enchanting place, where every detail is excellent. - The accommodation is a 500 year old building, lovingly restored. The staff are very friendly and do their utmost to make everybody's stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Although very central, it is a quiet neighbourhood. Breakfast had a wide selection.
- Mete Ahmet (9/5): A charming stay with history, comfort, and wonderful hospitality. - I loved the location, the cleanliness, the villa’s amazing historic charm, the lovely garden, and especially Anna and all staff’s warm and genuine hospitality. The room that had an outside entrance didn’t really let me feel the spirit of the villa.
- Waleed (9/5): A place I would be happy to book again! - The hotel is a renovated villa which is a great experience of ancient Rome building. The staff of the hotel is more than wonderful: very welcoming, approachable and makes you feel home. Anna did not only share informative details about where to visit in Rome but also went out of her way to provide valuable tips to make our time enjoyable and memorable. Sometimes, the city underground is noisy and makes you feel a bit annoyed. But, it is not continuous and could be ignored.
- Luis (10/5): - This was a great experience. The location is in a very peaceful, tranquil neighborhood walking distance to us to the Vatican and many restaurants. There is a mini market close by.
The staff is amazing. They treat you like family. Ana provides the most useful information about Rome. How to get around. Where to eat. Overall very helpful.
Catarina is beyond helpful at the daily breakfast. Always in a very happy cheerful mood as if she is always happy to see you every morning and greets you with a delicious cappuccino.
The cleaning staff does an amazing job every single morning
Vicento is amazing, provides such detail on the history of the villa, the Vatican, and Rome altogether. He gave us a personal tour of the Villa and the sisters corner, where we saw Rome from the highest peak.
Overall, we had an amazing time in the week we spent here.
Do not expect an American buffet breakfast. The item served the very typical of Rome. Fresh cappuccino, Café latte, or Americano. Fresh cheeses. Ham prosciutto, grape tomatoes, yogurt, and an assortment of delicious pastries to go with your cappuccino have a little or as much as you want. And Katarina will make you some fresh eggs to your liking as well.
My only recommendation would be to possibly change the breakfast up every few days however it was delicious and convenient.
- Guest (10/5): - Určite sa sem ešte vrátim :)
- Matthew R. (10/5): - Villa Alberici is a hidden gem just outside of the Vatican walls. If you are looking for a true Italian vacation experience with the best hospitality, this is your place. It was the perfect B&B experience for our family of five (we have three young kids). Our hosts, Anna and Vincenzo are the most gracious and accommodating. Upon our arrival, Anna gave us the full run down of how to get around, provided recommendations for everything from attractions to restaurants. Their beautiful breakfast spread was filled with the highest quality food and beverages. Our bathroom was so modern and clean! We did not want to leave! We will absolutely be returning. This is a 16th century villa with all the modern amenities. It is pretty walkable to most of Rome's main attractions around the Vatican and just a short bus to the other main areas. We also walked most of the time. We are avid travelers and loved Villa Alberici as it is top notch!!! Thank you for an amazing trip! xoxo
- Isabel (10/5): A special Roman Villa - Everything! The care with all the details in the room, in the garden, the best cappuccino I've ever had, Anna's kindness in taking care of your needs. Everything was absolutely perfect! Only staying 1 night. It deserves 3 days at least to soak it all in.
- Silvana (10/5): Excellent!! - Very Friendly people who make sure you feel like home.
- Debra (10/5): Wonderful!!! - Anna was so welcoming and kind! We arrived very late and she stayed late just to check us in. The building and gardens are authentic and lovely. It was a very nice stay. The buffet breakfast was very good but I would add some more dishes for variety.
- Marjorie (5/5): Passable -
- Pedro F (10/5): - We had a great welcome experience upon our arrival. The young woman gave us excellent recommendations.
- Sonia (10/5): - The breakfast option includes outdoor landscaped beauty. Close walk to the Vatican. I really enjoyed my stay.
- Jenny (10/5): Fabulous!! - The villa was beautiful and the surroundings delightful. The manageress Anna was fantastic and made us feel so welcome. Her kindness and incredible hospitality made it a holiday to remember! Thank you so much Anna and your team! Will definitely be back!
- burak (10/5): - What a great location for families. If you have kids with you. This place must stay. Large garden for them, feeding fish, historic location. Brand new rooms and amazing breakfast ! Very friendly staff for sure !
- Fabio (10/5): Fantastic venue in the heart of Rome - The host, mr Vincenzo, has been a terrific host.
Great manners, very welcoming and personal, he immediately lets you immerse into the history of that XV century place
- Andrija (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place with amazingly friendly and helping staff. Good connections and proximity to Vatican. No complaints.
- Anonymous (10/5): An excellent stay, quiet and very hospitable hosts! - It was more than a hotel, more like a home and great breakfast by the beautiful gardens. The place had so much history and Anna and Senor Vincento were most helpful. We had a very early morning tour of the Vatican museum and asked if we could have some croissants. We were surprised by a bag of treats and thermos of coffee and Orange juice left in our room! A very nice touch and much appreciated! It was quite a distance to the city and needed to get a bus which was at the top of the street. Easy to catch the bus. The metro is not an option even though it looks close to the villa. The place suited us for the three days and convenient for our trip.
- Sofia (8/5): Beautiful location - The staff and owner were very kind took the time to explain things and also told us about the beautiful history of the property. You can easily relax in the gardens
Excellent breakfast There were occasionally some sounds from other rooms and I felt the room was a bit small...while on the other hand functional
- Audrey (10/5): Truly an amazing property ! - Very very beautiful! Anna takes care of your every need . EXCELLENT customer service😁 Liked everything
- Carolina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): - The stay was exceptional. Anna and co are such wonderful hosts.
- Cyril (10/5): - Villa Alberici is sensational.
It’s a small group of beautiful Renaissance buildings, charming and wonderfully decorated rooms and a lovely, large garden. It’s elegant and luxurious but thanks to the owners, it also feels like home. Anna greeted us like old friends and was amazingly helpful with showing us around and giving great advice on how to get anywhere we wanted in Rome and making suggestions for other things to do. It was like visiting your favourite cousin in her spectacular home, who is eager to make your visit as perfect as it can be.
Our room was immaculate and stunning, with chandeliers (!), beautiful ceilings and nice bathrooms; breakfasts are varied, delicious and generous; the garden is a peaceful oasis in busy Rome; buses are three minutes walk away and easy to catch to the Vatican and St Peter’s (five minutes ride - or fifteen minutes walk) and the centre of Rome (Colosseum, Forum, Piazza Navona etc) (less than twenty minutes ride); and a wonderful restaurant is a few minutes walk away.
Breathtaking all round.
- Petter (9/5): I’ll return. - Great service and breakfast facilities. Noise from road works.
- Kendra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jackie (10/5): The perfect stay. - This boutique hotel was beautiful and full of charms. My room was spacious and clean with a wonderful mini-split AC unit ( heavenly for the heat here in Rome). Wifi was fast, which was really nice. The free breakfast had a variety of options. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel manager, Anna, provided a detailed 30 minute check in session with helpful information such as how to navigate local transportations, points of interest, and where to grab local cuisines. I was able to solicit help from her via Whatsapp during my stay. I give this hotel an overall 100 out of 10!!! Nothing
- Aleksa (10/5): Excellent - Stuff, food, environment..
- Yuri (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was tasty, unlimited coffee made by Katerina We have just returned from Rome, where we spent a wonderful week of love and tenderness at Villa Alberici. Love for each other, and for this special city. It is not so difficult to fall in love with the eternal city, especially if such wonderful people as those who work at the villa contribute to this, Anna, Vincenze and Elena. We always received the most complete answers and help for any request. And this applies to all hosts and employees without exception.
Absolutely special attitude to guests, delicious breakfast. Cozy apartments and the courtyard where it was so nice to sit in the evening with a glass of vine.
The villa is close to the Vatican and you can walk to St. Peter's Basilica and the city center. If we are to rate the villa, we would give it the highest score, 10 out of 10, without hesitation!
- Mary (10/5): A hidden gem!! - A hidden gem just a 15 mte walk from St Peter’s Square. A villa amongst just streets of Rome. Special shout out to Anna, the Mabager, Katarina’s fabulous breakfast and Vincenzo who tends to the gardens.
- Ruanna (9/5): Superb -
- samaneh (10/5): - We had the best time at Villa Albercini. It’s a very special place with an amazing history, located close to the Vatican. The rooms were exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfast room felt like dining in the 15th century.
I can’t thank Anna and the owner of the property enough for making our stay so memorable and special. We will never forget Rome and Villa Albercini.
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Agnieszka (10/5): The perfect boutique and chilled stay, where I would gladly come back to - Where do I start…
We were greeted by Anna, genuinely the kindest person who made us feel so welcomed and tried to accommodate whatever we may require, we were really taken care of.
About the villa itself, simply amazing! A building with a history with some pieces remaining from few centuries ago, so you feel like you don’t skip history even when coming back to rest after sightseeing. The rooms are nicely decorated with modern bathrooms. The surroundings are perfect too, especially with a nice weather you can really chill in the garden, lit during evenings.
The stay has a breakfast option, which we liked a lot, a variety of food to choose from, pastry, fruits, hams, cheeses, bread etc. And also an option to order eggs and coffee.
The villa has a great location, just outside Vatican walls, with a 3 min walk to the bus stop with a direct connection to main attractions.
Last but not least, the villa has an option to take you to a private rooftop with one of the best views over the city! Just choose a nice weather to go up there and you will be swept away. There was nothing I didn’t like
- Łukasz (10/5): Exceptional - Villa Alberici is a true gem among hotels, offering an unforgettable experience for every guest. Located in picturesque surroundings, it impresses not only with its architectural beauty but also with its unique atmosphere.
The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and kept impeccably clean. Every detail has been carefully considered to ensure maximum comfort. The beds are extremely comfortable, guaranteeing a peaceful and restorative sleep.
The breakfasts served at Villa Alberici are a real feast for the palate. Fresh local produce, a variety of dishes and aromatic coffee make every morning special.
However, what makes this hotel stand out from the rest is the amazing owners. Their hospitality, friendliness and individual approach to each guest make you feel at home. Always willing to help, they offer valuable advice and take care of every detail of our stay.
The location of the hotel is also a plus - the proximity to the main tourist attractions and the convenient access to public transport make it easy to explore the area.
All in all, Villa Alberici is a place I would confidently recommend to anyone. The combination of luxury, comfort and exceptional service makes a stay here an unforgettable experience.
- Rita (10/5): We loved staying at this charming villa and already miss the family who run it. - Our villa stay was incredible! We arrived on our daughter’s birthday, and the owners set up a special surprise. The room was filled with balloons, there was a cake made that morning from a local bakery, and Prosecco for everyone. That personalized care continued through our entire visit. The villa is seeped in history, and we were able to get a tour to learn its stories. Our room was elegant, spacious, and comfortable. Caterina puts out a delicious breakfast spread including made to order eggs. When our plans had us departing for the day before breakfast, she made us breakfast bags to take with us. I can’t say enough about how wonderful the owners and the property are. We can’t wait to come back!
- Adrian (9/5): Superb -
- Patricia (10/5): - This property is a 16th century villa that is absolutely amazing! Ana was a fabulous hostess who took the time to share the villa’s intriguing history with us. Breakfast was extraordinary with cooked-to-order eggs, a variety of hams, cheeses, fruit and pastries. I’d go back tomorrow if I could. Don’t miss this place if you go to Rome!
- Zoe (7/5): I really appreciated the friendliness and great customer service of the staff which is not so common - The staff were all amazing, super friendly and Anna the host was so helpful. 20mins walk to Vatican Square and less to the Vatican Museam. I stayed for 6 nights, so was bored with the breakfast which is exactly the same things. Also not so central, a bit of a distance from a few places. Also I was not made aware before paying that I would not be able to check in after 8pm. I had a meeting that I needed to rush to straight from the airport and had to rush from that meeting in order to avoid not having anywhere to sleep even though I had booked and paid from accommodation in Rome.
- Elisabeth (10/5): - Beautiful historic villa with a calm garden. We really enjoyed our stay and were taken well care of by the helpful staff. Great place to rest after sightseeing the busy city. There is a bus near the hotel taking you right to the city center. Highly recommended!
- Dayna (10/5): - This was such an amazing stay. Anna and all the staff were so wonderful. Everyone was friendly and hospitable. Made us feel so welcome like family. Anna helped sat with us and showed us everywhere to go and was beyond helpful in every way. The property is beautiful. The breakfast was so good and fresh. I would definitely recommend this property. We would love to stay here again.
- Bettina (10/5): We had an amazing, truly Roman stay - The history, the garden, the loving and detailed restauration. It is a true sanctuary of peace.
The owners and staff are all truly welcoming and genuinely passionate about the place. They really make you feel at home in Rome!
- Jaime (10/5): - We were staying in Rome for 1 night. We came in from Maiori, Almafi Coast. We wished we had more time. Think of the movie “Under the Tuscan Sun”. This is a real villa! Romantic, enchanting, beautiful! With so much history behind the location. We stayed in a room that had original 16th century ceiling. Work of art! Anna was great! Made us feel so welcomed. Near the Vatican! 12 min walk. You will not be disappointed!
- Leanne (10/5): - I don't write many reviews about places I've stayed in, but Villa Alberici blew me away! The photos will never amount to what you see in person. So much detail and history. for what it's worth, I believe it was reasonably priced when you see what you're staying in. Keep in mind they try their hardest to preserve the history and structure, so you will have to carry your bags up the stairs, but it was absolutely WORTH IT. Get there a bit earlier than check in time. The host will give a full tour and history lesson on the area. It will not disappoint. Our host was Anna and she was fantastic!
- Valeria (10/5): A beautiful place to stay while in Rome. Highly recommended! - We loved staying at Villa Alberici as it was a beautiful peaceful place to stay. It is full of history. We felt more than just guests as the hosts provided a informative tour of the Villa and its history. Anna took us for an exclusive walk throughout the Villa and the grounds, pointing significant historical aspects of the Villa and artwork. She also showed us each of the rooms and told of the story behind the renovation of the Villa - letting us see how much time and love the hosts including Vincenzo and Elena have put into the ensuring the original Villa has been brought back to life, particularly the stunning ceilings in each room. The walk throughout the garden and to the view of the Vatican and St Peter's Basilica was memorable. Anna also provided us daily advise on sights of interests and suggested itineraries. As a result, we saw parts of Rome we would not have discovered without Anna's suggestions.
The rooms we stayed in are beautiful. We initially stayed the Giglio Dorato suite for fourr nights and then decided to extend out stay a further five nights and stayed in the Zodiaco (as we did not want to leave). Both rooms are stunning with comfortable beds, well appointed bathrooms and furniture.
Breakfast every morning is an experience - having the option to breakfast in the garden or indoors in a beautiful dining room. The breakfast is sumptuous and plentiful including locally sourced artisan cheeses and fresh fruit as well as pastries and cold cuts for meat eaters. It was lovely that beautiful music was played every morning during breakfast. The coffee was fantastic.
We loved talking to the hosts every morning as they had a lot of great ideas and interests in Rome. Overall they treated like family and we will definitely be staying at the Villa again the next time we are in Rome.
