Guest Reviews
- Andrew (6/5): Enjoyable despite difficulties with owner. - Location was excellent. Property has lots of character. Underfloor heating in bathroom is great. Overall good facilities but be sure to check in advance what you are/are not allowed to access. Very steep and narrow staircases especially to attic room which are not mentioned during booking process.
Dealing with owner was difficult and stressful. She tried to bring checkout forward to 10am after we’d especially booked for a noon checkout. Then afterwards accused us of breaking into a cupboard which we hadn’t done.
Be careful that some areas and cupboards are ‘out of bounds’ and cable tied. If the cable ties break accidentally you get accused of attempted theft!!

- Lesley (10/5): Cosy, relaxing, comfortable ….. perfect stay - It was a cosy Cotswold cottage, in a perfect central location. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Nothing we didn’t like, but the stairs to the top floor were steep.
- Lorraine (10/5): Lovely stay in a beautiful cottage. Perfect in every way, home from home and didn't wan't too leave. Great com - Nothing not to like N/A
- Tracey (10/5): Lovely vist - Spring Cottage was a lovely stay. Great base to get to places. The Pub opposite was cosy lovely food. The cottage was really beautiful, comfortable home.. A Roll top bath was a treat for us. Julie, the owner, was friendly and even left bread milk and eggs.. We highly recommend and will definitely be returning soon..

- Nikki (10/5): Beautiful & very comfortable cottage, great location. Lovely, responsive host. - NA
- Ian (8/5): - Warm and stylish cottage. Great location. We didn't understand that we had to share the fridge with the owner's food
- Simon (9/5): -
- Charles (9/5): Superb -
- Anthony (6/5): Good location - Location opposite the Chequers pub was central. The owner left many many of their belongings in fridge, freezer, pantry, cupboards etc all marked ‘private’ without this being described beforehand which felt a little strange compared with all other Airbnb’s that we’ve stayed at throughout UK and Europe.
- Becky (9/5): Lovely, cosy cottage! Bigger than expected. Great communication with host! -
- Jarred (10/5): Lovely weekend away with friends in a perfect little coattge - Everything, it was cozy, well stocked, charming, great location. Nothing not to like
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely property with a real cottage feel, the owner has really got it beautiful Nothing
- Julie (10/5): Fab-u-lous - Beautiful property - well catered for
Home from home and fabulous pub (Chequers) opposite Stairs are steep if you have mobility issues, young children or elderly
- Alan (10/5): Family get together with my daughter & son-in-law , after being out for the day, just relaxing & chatting in fro - Location, quirkiness, etc. nothing not to like No at problem, not a criticism, but the stairs take a little getting used to but that was all part of the quirkiness.
- Nick (10/5): Highly recommended for a comfortable stay in and around the Cotswolds. - Great location and very cozy.
- Vikki (8/5): Great location. - Location, shower room. Very steep stairs, small bedrooms, fire not giving out much heat and not cleaned out before we arrived. Parking only available at the hotel at bottom of the road. Street parking constantly full.
- Kevin (10/5): Brilliant - Loved it all No a thing
- Jordan (10/5): Spacious, cozy cottage with great hosts, perfectly located for a relaxing getaway. - Our stay at the cottage was wonderful! The space was incredibly spacious, cozy, and the beds were so comfortable. Everything was spotless, and getting in and out of the property was a breeze. The hosts were kind enough to offer us access to their food with clear guidelines on what was off-limits, which was both thoughtful and accommodating. They also responded to our questions quickly and with such kindness. The location was perfect—right in the heart of town and within walking distance to everything, yet it still felt private and like our own little retreat. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable getaway! Nothing, it was all around an amazing stay.
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - All perfect location comfort cleanliness
- Deborah (8/5): Felt like going back in time. Good experience, but be aware if you have mobility issues. - Chipping Norton is delightful. The host was very friendly, the cottage was quaint & cosy, It was central to town, and the beds were very comfortable. Everyone loved the large footstool. Although a town property, it was quiet. Like staying in a time warp, we loved the squeaky floorboard's uneaven walls, large fireplace, stone flags and old beams, etc. A lovely experience we had a great time and daughter loved the bath.. She misses it already. I have mobility issues, so the stairs and many indoor levels were challenging, and slabs outside were a tripping hazard. It's not suitable for older and very young people.
Breakfast included, meant eggs and bagels. The free car parking, it was challenging to locate parking for our 2 cars, and we felt uncomfortable parking away from the cottage, I am sure town dwellers are used to it, but we aren't. The kitchen wasn't a good standard, but going from 2 couples who have relatively new kichens, it stood out.
- Bright (6/5): Pleasant - The sitting room. The beds and the stairs.
- Joanne (9/5): Superb -

- Colin (9/5): Excellent stay, very comfortable - Facilities Location Parking possible but not guaranteed
- Stefan (9/5): We had a great time at this gorgeous cottage - Great location and beautiful property. A lot of pubs and shopping in walking distance. Enough parking options for a car near by as well. Great for a trip to Cotswolds.
- Andrea (9/5): As my husband struggles to walk it was marvelous having the local amenities on the doorstep well as - Location fab & sufficient left for breakfast. Only thing we could mention & was certainly not a complaint was the first floor bed was too short gor my husband with having the bed end to it.
- Sanny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sprayson (10/5): Exceptional - Felt at home the moment we walked in , a beautiful cosy cottage , perfect for a lovely chilled out weekend Nothing
- Anonymous (8/5): Nice place to stay.people r friendly too. - Clean, everything was there for ur fr the morning breakfast.& near to the shop’s. Top floor mattress needs changing i think & parking your car. bit of problem ,first floor Tv couldn’t come on.i tried couple of times, nothing major.
