• Harsh (10/5): Perfect island getaway - The house is located very close to the Alonnah beach and makes it a perfect place to watch sunrise while drinking coffee from the verandah. The house itself was very comfortable with all the amenities. The starlink WiFi was great with no interruptions. Each room had electric blankets which made it very comfortable during cold nights. Overall, we had a fun stay here and will definitely come back next time. Nothing.

• Victoria (6/5): Very pleasant but it does need attention paid to the comments above. - The property was lovely, very clean and lovely views The shower head was broken which made for extremely difficult showering. And there were no other mirrors except in the bathroom, so if the bathroom was occupied there was no alternative!

• Leah (9/5): Island Escapes Great House - Great house! Well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. Loved having a washing machine and dryer. Plenty of room and very clean. Heaters were already on when we arrived, which was lovely! Views are beautiful, great location. Would definitely stay here again.

• Jane (9/5): great stay, we had a happy holiday. - the property is welly equipped, beautiful environment, quiet location there is no dining table, the bar stool is a bit too high for us when we have meal at the kitchen bench top. Bed is a bit soft for us.

• Eric (9/5): Excellent value for money. Comfortable and very peaceful digs on Bruny Island. - We came to Bruny Island for peace and quiet, and Island Escapes has plenty of both. Lovely views from the house, and whilst ewe were aware of people living (or holidaying) in nearby houses, there was hardly any noise at all over the 3 days we spent there. Island Escapes is located only a couple of kilometres from the Hotel Bruny, where very good pub meals are served at reasonable prices. The house has an outdoor BBQ area (which we didn't use as we were there in winter) and there is also an area on the front porch where a meal could be eaten when the weather was warmer. We did miss not having a table and chairs to sit at - the benches and stools were fine for the time it takes to eat a meal, but for our aging backs a nice comfortable dining chair would have made all the difference to us.

Owner was very helpful to deal with. I made a mistake about the checkout time and the owner was very pleasant and accommodating Couldn’t fault it.

• Andrew (8/5): Island Escapes for a great island escapade - The property was very comfortable, clean with an abundance of cooking and eating utensils. Loads of outdoor furniture, a little more or larger seating in lounge would be nice as we were a group of 5 adults and not quite enough space to sit comfortably, overall a great place to stay easy walking distance to hotel and licenced cricket club and wouldnt hesitate to book again.
• Andrew (7/5): Location great, place clean and comfortable other than issues above. View incredible. - No breakfast provided , we brought our own food. Place clean and tidy. View from veranda was amazing. Bed’s comfortable and decor pleasing. Lady cleaning the place very obliging as we arrived 30 minutes early . BBQ area timber flooring was in poor condition and needs replacing. Bathroom needed hooks for towels and somewhere for clothing to be stored whilst showering. A round dining table and chairs would have been preferred rather than 3 stools at the kitchen bench . Outside table and stools ok but not at night for dining in comfort, particularly for older adults .

• Anita (9/5): Would love to have been able to stay longer! - The view was spectacular and the front porch was set up to enjoy it. The kitchen was very well equipped and large enough for several people to work at once. Televisions Internet were easy and dependable. Outside seating was great, and though we didn't use the grill, it looked really nice. Convenient to the hotel restaurant, not far from the boat cruise, easy to find and access. The only sound was that of the ocean and the weather.

• Meagan (9/5): Came for the Bruny Island Ultra, great location, cute shack and very comfortable - Location was great, nice and central. Easy walk to beach and/or pub for a meal. Good size shack for what we needed and had all the comforts of home. Lovely outdoor seating areas at the front and back of house. Bit of an ant issue… but given the location can understand why there were ants. Maybe just some ant rid up on the window cil would help.

• Tim (8/5): overall very happy. - Great location, easy access to beach and surrounding areas. There appears to be an unpleasant odour from the sewerage near the back door. Some tiles in the bathroom worn and cracked and very slippery, a matt finish on the floor would be better.

• Ashwin (8/5): The house was well kept and clean. kitchen was well stocked. Location was amazing - Location was excellent . There was no breakfast. There wasn’t a heater in any of the bedrooms. Since we were at the start of the winter and just for a night, we could easily make do.
