Guest Reviews
- Bella (1/5): Disgusting - Stay far away from this place.Booked the wellington apartments in Waterford for a night and I wouldn't leave my dog inside the place. The front door was all cracks and very unstable, the smell inside the fridge was of gone off milk and the smell lingered in the sitting room, the walls were disgusting .It was just disgusting altogether. We then rang marina, the owner and told her and she said she will give us a refund on the phone but then hung up and texted me, saying she can't give me a refund and was leaving my messages on open and would not answer the phone at all to any of us. She was not helpful at all and quite rude to speak to also. The place was that bad it shouldn't even be allowed up on booking.com. If anyone can help us with reporting her to booking.com any advice would be appreciated!.
- Mariusz (3/5): - Lokalizacja Bardzo nie zadbane miejsce, a wystarczy trochę farby ogólnie jedna nocka nie poza tym żeby tam zostać
- Manish (1/5): Poor experience overall. - Location was handy. The oven did not work , had to throw away the food we got to cook. There were cobwebs in the kitchen, The lift did not work. The property was dirty.
- James (1/5): Don’t bother booking this place - Not much to like about this place Place and its surroundings were filthy and didn’t feel safe
- Terry (4/5): -
- Chris (2/5): - Instructions to locate the starting point were absolutely horrible. I had to ask a local resident where to find the starting point and lockbox for my keys. This took nearly 1-1/2 hours to do. Instructions for the internet were incorrect and we had to once again contact the property owner/manager. It was a stressful check-in
- Natasha (1/5): Terrified - Nothing it was dangerous area for family to stay we walked down side street people taking drugs and drinking in yard off property we didn’t even enter the door we left straight away very scary Everything the area it’ was full off people taking drugs and drinking and homeless shelter not for family stay away stay away
- Tim (1/5): last resort if no where else to stay - shower tv didn’t work
no wifi
poor condition inside
not a great location
- Desmond (4/5): Des carrick - The lock on bedroom door was not working properly. The owner sent a boy out to fix it but didn't change the lock. I am a locksmith and by trade and someone could easily get locked in bedroom if the lock is not replaced. A lot of people hanging around outside the apartment into the early hours. Location not great. I booked last minute because I didn't realise I had booked the Granville hotel for the night before by mistake and it was booked up for that night. Never had a problem with any of booking accommodation but I won't be staying in the Wellington Central again.
- Cooke (10/5): - Location was great very close to everything and very helpful owners with directions to cleaners etc No complaints good value for money, comfortable beds and close to city centre
- Omar (1/5): -
- Una (7/5): - The apartment was clean and comfortable inside, the outside could do with a good clean The approach to the apartment
- Vincent (10/5): -
- Darlene (6/5): - The close proximity to the city The dark hallways lift not working
- Carmen (5/5): Could be better - The only nice thing on this apartment was the location and also the beds they were comfortable I didn’t like that it was dirty, you could see that the ground was clean but some other parts like dust on every shelf and spider webs. Also on the kitchen we found dirt like on the microwave and most of the glass and mugs were dirty. We didn’t like that walls were broken and also wait for two or more hours for someone fix the window of one of the rooms.
- Omar (8/5): -
- Rianne (5/5): -
- Jo-ann (1/5): - A man was urinating in the hallway. Not fit for purpose. This is obviously just used a session house. I did not stay here. Im requesting a refund
- Gavin (9/5): -
- Louise fahey (6/5): - Was available last minute Not true to the pics it was clean could do with a lick of paint. Lock box wasnt the easier to open. Directions to find property were not 100%
- Joao (9/5): Calm and pleasant - Spacious, the host was very helpful and answered all me questions I forgot to switch the heat pump on when I came in so the water took a while to heat up when I remembered. So if you are staying, remember to switch it on.
- Kay (3/5): - Waterford was lovely The lift didn't work, stairs were taxing. Overall condition and cleanliness of the apartment was lacking. Front door glass was cracked, and fire door to exit stairwell was hard to open without force. We only stayed one night out of 2, wouldn't recommend it.
- Kumar (9/5): centrally located, comfortable, and enjoyable - Nice comfortable place with a great view of the Waterford city. Will definitely recommend!
- Roy (9/5): -
- Moran (5/5): - The area of town The dirt of the accommodation and the grounds of thr apartment were destroyed in food on the steps up to the apartment as carrying a 1 month old in a car seat this was so dangerous and disgusting
The door was broken and covered with something replacing it
- Aisling (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (2/5): Very poor - These are not the real photos of this apartment.
- Carmel (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lilian (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kelly (2/5): Disappointing - Location
- Alex (9/5): Nice 2 bedroom Apartment - Spacious 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the Port. ALDI was nearby. Clean and well furnished old apartment that has been renovated. The address listed does not take you to the lock boxes. Wellington Square is the name of the development. Address could be Wellington St.
No curtains to make it dark at night.
- Toms (1/5): Discusting - Was discuiting service. The lady was Ukrainian or something, address was wrong so we couldn't find it and she wasnt helpful at all to find the property. Ended up taking other hotel and not receiving a refund.
ROBERRY, DONT CHOOSE THIS PROPERTY.
- Judy (5/5): Adequate for our needs but wouldn’t chose it again - It was clean and spacious There were quite a few basic amenities lacking, such as a toaster, and the TV dud not work. The apartment itself is fine but the entrance is complicated.
- Aidan (5/5): Passable -
- Angela (1/5): Bad - Liked Waterford itself and the initial looking at the apartment thought it's clean it's nice but it needs a refurb no toaster and even after being showing TV we couldn't get normal channels the host left it on tube no use to us Nearly everything shower worked well but as well as the apartment needing a refurb it was poorly equipped with not enough glasses
- Summagh (9/5): Superb -
- Rob (1/5): An absolute disgrace - Host only provided key for the apartment door but did not provide key for the outer door or the building Blood stain on wall, rude host, difficult to contact and extremely unhelpful
- Mya (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (3/5): Don't waste money on this apartment.the area was not safe and the noise was shocking. - There was nothing to like about this apartment. The whole apartment needed a refurb.
- Dowling (1/5): I wouldn't stay there for free - Nothing Poorly lit walk ways, nearly tripped over rubbish bags outside apartment doors.
Moss a slip hazard on walk ways.
Apartment was OK but no water in showers.
Apartment was double booked.
No lift to apartment 4 floors up.
Apartment block exterior completely unmaintained.
Unsafe feeling in area.
- Ger (6/5): Pleasant - Location Mattress on the single bed was uncomfortable
- Kate (5/5): Overall if you’re looking for somewhere to sleep and park your bags it’s grand. - it was close to the town was not clean enough , hair in the towels🤢 surfaces just didn’t seem thoroughly cleaned . The front bedrooms windowsill is rotten through completely , that needs to be fixed. The couch is also falling apart. The area did not seem safe or clean at all , luckily there were guys with us (as a female travelling) .
- Alicia (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (2/5): Disappointed - The apartment was spacious and clean and the hosts were very helpful There was quite a list of things that were substandard and we left a list on the dining room table- there was no toaster and the grill on the oven didn’t work either. The apartment complex was very depressing, the beds were uncomfortable and we could feel the springs in the mattress - to name a few. Definitely not value for money.
- Connie (1/5): Worst place I have ever rented - Nothing. Horrible run down complex. Poorly equipped unit. Appliances have serious issues Bugs in cabinet. 4 AM altercation in the corridor. Almost called the police. Left in AM.
- Cora (9/5): Superb -
- Aisling (8/5): Very good - The apartment was lovely very clean lovely spacious rooms well looked after . However if I were to go again I wouldn't bring my baby with me the arae feels unsafe for baby just going into the apartment but all in all it is a lovely apartment. For a very fair price
- Debra (7/5): Good - House was large and would suit either four couples or family travelling together. Location is short ride into Cork where there are many bars and restaurants. As there are no shops nearby it would be helpful to know this for some self catering supplies.
- Marty (2/5): Would not recommend staying here. - It was clean inside.
There is nothing more to like execpt the location was good for the quays. Delapidated building and common areas. Rusty railings, weeds, peeling paint, algae on the outside walls all around the place. It seemed like no maintenance had been done ever.
Entry door to staircase was not signed - we wasted a lot of time trying to get into the building from the courtyard. The key to the staircase appeared not to work but that was because the staircase door was jammed and the key made no difference. It was very hard to open the door. Once inside the staircase it was poorly maintained. There is a lift but it was not working. Paint was scuffed and dirty inside the common areas.
Appartment had no decoration, kitchen was damaged and not well equiped, bed was uncomforatable, sofas were in poor shape and uncomfortable.
Car parking was supposed to be free in Glen car park by calling attendant but nobody answered the call button. No big deal for one night, only 8 Euro but in unlikely event you want to stay longer might be irritating.
- Richard (2/5): A very overpriced rudimentary furnished apartments in a horrible part of Waterford. This property is unfit to be on booo - It was clean and the shower was warm. The beds were horrible, no live tv, the sofas were torn and uncomfortable.
- Michelle (7/5): Clean and centrally located to waterford bars and restaurants. - Centrally located to waterford vars and restaurants. The apt was spotless with clean towels and bedding. Outside shared courtyard in need of some upkeep. The corridor to the apt was tiled and became extremely slippy when wet from rain. Lift not working had to go up 2 flights stairs to get to the apt..
- Johnston (7/5): Would stay again - Good location can't ask for better. Nice size flat and view. Lovely strong water pressure on the shower. And the essential kettle Bed pillows could've been thicker
- Larry (2/5): Very poor -
- Garry (4/5): Fine for a night - Close to city Location of apartments and apartment, electricity didn't work for us.
- Bodenham (8/5): Very good -
- Luisa (1/5): Bad - Only the Location was ok Right from the type of apartment to taking the keys to climbing the stairs to everything was poor. Even the utensils in the kitchen were not cleant properly. The beds were uncomfortable. We had to climb 2 floors with all our luggage and the way to the apartment was smelling and dirty. Parking was far away. In all a bad experience.
- Brady (5/5): As above - Unfortunately the overall experience was over shadowed by a late night rave from a neighbouring apartment being let out for the weekend also. Secondly there is a dangerous set of steps ar the very bottom level where my friend who was with me had a very bad spill which luckily enough did not end with getting an ambulance! Externals are all decreped and dire in look. Inside was comparable. The entire property should be reconditiined before ot falls delapadated. - Aine (10/5): Had such a nice stay, easy self check in makes it less hassle. Would definitely recommend - The apartment was so clean and so comfortable. It was nearby an aldi which was useful for breakfast in the morning. The tv had youtube and netflix it was great. I couldn’t fault the place absolutely excellent Could’ve done with a toaster but other than that it was amazing
