Guest Reviews
- Amy (10/5): One of a kind - Perfect. So many charming details for a stay we’ll remember for a long time. Kids loved the animals. Breakfast was fantastic. Highly recommend Nothing
- Keith (8/5): - The tent, the location, the animals and especially the hosts all fantastic.
- Nikoki (10/5): Perfect countryside getaway to reconnect with nature - It was very comfy, peaceful and quiet. perfect for kids as well. We liked everything about it. Nothing
- Lewin (9/5): -
- Jess (10/5): Just returned home for a 3 night extra and all I can say is wow. The food was amazing, my daughter loved that the donkey - All the thoughtful extras. Nothing
- Catherine (8/5): Great way to ‘try out’ camping! - Very sweet place and so much thought put into everything. Amazing breakfasts! The outdoor loo but that’s more a personal preference.
- Noleen (10/5): J & N Jolly Travellers 🫶 - One of the most tranquil and welcoming places we have ever had the pleasure to stay. The accommodation was well equipped with every possible home comfort. The hosts were amazing, really friendly and their hospitality was 2nd to none. The breakfast served was such a treat too, we really couldn't have asked for more. Large selection of home cooked food and on our last night we ordered evening meals which are prepared fresh and delivered. The place and the facilities were exceptionally clean. It was the best place to chill after a day exploring the Malvern Hills. Our favourite bit was having all the friendly animals which included, sheep, goats, chickens (thank you for the eggs) , guinea fowls and last but not least Zebedee the donkey who is such a character he had kept us amused throughout. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away from it all and love animals, I would recommend this place 100%. Thank you Bernie & Alex for making our stay most enjoyable. We will be back. NOTHING, LOVED EVERYTHING!
- Atte (8/5): - Dinner and breakfast ordering system is really good. Lovely animals, donkey even attended our dinner! Very accomodating host. Shower and bathroom are what you can expect from a tent, nothing fancy but it works. One thing that actually bothered was the noises during the night, so much bird chirping!
- samantha (9/5): - Lovely setting , quiet area, great for walking. The tent was well equipped and everything had been thought of. Chemical toilet was exceptionally clean and emptied promptly when requested. Bernie and Alex were really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Especially loved the chickens and Zebedee the donkey who would rush over to us every morning when our freshly cooked breakfast was delivered. How Bernie gets the food to you so hot I'll never know! We had the pleasure of trying Bernies homemade pizza and fruit loaf both of which were delicious. Highly recommended for a get away from it all type break. My only downside was the futon, I didn't sleep well on it, far too hard for me but that of course is personal preference.
- Jane (10/5): Lovely stay - I think this is the first place we've stayed at that I have called Serene. But that was the vibe I got from this place. Lots of happy, friendly animals and the birds singing in the trees. Very clean facilities and everything you need for a restful break. Bernie and Alex were very approachable and responsive. Really loved watching the chickens, wondering, free and living a natural life, and Zebedee the Donkey hanging out with us, paticularly at meal times. We had to go home.
- Jade (10/5): A magical weekend stay to reconnect with nature - It was great as there is no other tent in the garden, so it was just us, the animals and the trees! As a glamping experience it couldn't have been any better, I've never stayed anywhere where so much thought has been put into everything to make guests feel comfortable. The breakfast was such a treat too, couldn't have asked for more. We didn't try the evening meals but if it's anything like the breakfast, I'm sure it would have been very impressive and tasty. Our favourite bit was having the space to enjoy the nature and the friendly animals. Nothing at all.
- Paul (9/5): Badgers Burrow Glamping Experience. - The setting is amazing, on a working smallholding with a fantastic selection of animals, the Hosts Bernie & Alex were very accommodating and highly approachable, nothing was a bother, made my children feel very at home straight away, the accommodation was great, we stayed 2 nights in Badgers Burrow, a big bell tent with more facilities than we expected, the little touches of play things and activities for the kids was brilliant, the tent took a good drop of English Summer Rain with no problems, the fire pit was a family favourite to sit around and tell stories and sing. The private toilet & shower room was excellent too, you are on a very slight slope so was a bit wobbly at night.... But that could have been the beers/wine 😂 The breakfast and delivery felt very special and the choices were very good. The whole experience was one of the best glamping trips we've been on, to have chickens, cockerels and guinea fowl roaming about and Zebedee the donkey and all the sheep & goats on your doorstep was such a treat for the children and adults alike. A unique experience geared towards the family and enjoying nature, it's just what we needed. Packing up and leaving.
I feel the double bed (futon) could be more comfortable but the rest of the family had no complaints.
- Mareta (10/5): Exceptional - We love camping and this burrow was amazing. The koolest thing is we didn't have to set it up or pack it down. It met all our needs ❤️
Easy to find, great communication prior, during and after. Clear instructions and expectations.
Breakfast was amazing every morning. Presentation and delivery was always hot n very yummy!! We enjoyed everything
- Jane (10/5): Brilliant Yurt experience - Everything about the Yurt was excellent. Luxurious glamping. Attention to detail was outstanding in every way. The breakfasts and evening choices of meals should you want the latter were very delicious and brought in heated bags. Amazing place! Nothing
- Katie (9/5): Lovely location with cute animals around - Loved the rural location but still accessible to lots of things to do.
Stayed here as I was exhibiting at RHS Malvern Spring Festival.
Loved the yurt and facilities.
Large selection of home cooked food which is a real treat.
Great and friendly place to stay and loved all the animals.
- Tracey (10/5): Beautiful stay - just what I needed - Lovely break. Hosts made me feel so welcome and the little touches were so lovely. The only improvement would be soap dispenser in toilet. I couldn’t get soap out as it kept falling apart so I used hand sanitiser but not a problem for me.
- Birks (10/5): Perfect getaway 👌 - The food, the hospitality, location and the animals
- Berwynmountaineer (9/5): Thuis is a really nice place and will definateley staying here again - Really friendly and welcoming, Basic but just the right comfort. Even though there was a lot of rain during the night, I never got wet
- Victoria (10/5): Amazing holiday; you aren’t just paying for a place to stay, you are getting a whole experience - The animals and food were amazing. Bernie and Alex were so friendly, they even gave the kids food to feed the donkey, which they are still taking about now The beds are futons which are a little firm for my hips, but im quite sensitive and need a soft mattress, the husband and kids had no problems
- Samantha (10/5): Fabulous trip to get away from life! - Well thought out with personal touches!
Neighbouring animals were amazing!
Bernie was a fab host!
Food was yummy! Nothing!
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely loved it!!! Booked it randomly for a solo adventure thinking the pictures looked amazing but it was even better when I got there. If you don't like animals, it's not for you...if you love animals though it's like a little self enclosed wonderland with regular animal visitors. Exceptional value for money and so relaxing. It's camping with a few extra luxuries and the excepted break from the stresses the rest of the world 😊 Didn't manage to pet all of the animals so have already booked to go back for longer next year ☺️
- Malgorzata (10/5): Budger Burrow, what a place!? - The most I loved was the place itself, very quiet and well organised. There was everything you needed. Delicious breakfast served very smart. Bernie and Alex are amazing hosts.
If you are looking for a quiet place and don't mind animals, you definitely should choose this place, surrounded by stunning Malvern Hills, heaven for walker/hikers. None
- Paul (8/5): Lovely - The animals and food very good The toilet and shower
- Richard (9/5): WONDERFUL! Relaxing and immersive stay for a family with two children (10-12) - Lovely venue - deep in the countryside and away from it all. All efforts made to make our stay very comfortable from the fixtures and fittings , shower (very clean ) , tv (unexpected but welcome ) futons and duvets ( a real luxury in a tent) even down to fans ( for heat - if you’re lucky) fridge , and outdoor and indoor games . The food for both breakfast, which was included in the price , and the evening meal (additionally ordered) was very good !! Our girls loved the pizzas !! All homemade ! Bernie very kindly introduced us to the animals and our girls were enthralled by the opportunity to interact with them . Zebedee the donkey was a firm favourite - yes the chickens and Guinea Fowl can be noisy but that’s what you’d expect on a small holding in the country - it’s charming !
Overall - very friendly, welcoming and quite unique opportunity in a lovely area with great food - don’t miss out ! Nothing
- Jackie (7/5): Nice stay with good food , beds comfy - Nice vibe with animals and location was nice Toilet/mastering shower
- Elaine (8/5): Badgers burrow - Great host. Amazing breakfasts & evening meals available to order. Lovely setting with farm animals nearby which the children loved. Very comfy beds. Very remote location with a few tricky single track lanes just before you arrive.
- Julie (10/5): Fabulous place and location, great host. Kids had the best time ever and we absolutely loved it. Pound for pound the be - Glamping at its best with every possible home comfort thought of and provided. Absolutely nothing
