Guest Reviews

- Linda (8/5): Very good -
- Darren (6/5): Pleasant -
- Joshua (3/5): Gave me the ick. - The ceilings are very small and you could hear every step of the owners as well as them getting in an argument. Also not clean, there was a lot of dirt everywhere. Then at then end we saw a horrible insect inside the flat. Never again.
- Marcya1016 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (9/5): Thought that the accommodation was perfect for my short stay (2-nights) - clean, private, warm and c - The location was perfect and the accommodation was clean, warm and comfortable Parking was street parking.
- Marcya1016 (10/5): Exceptional - It's close to Evrything and it's comfortable! I loved the place ! I recommend.it 100%
- Sara (8/5): Very good - It is perfect if you just need a place to sleep and maybe make light meals. Location is good. It is a basement apartment and therefore not great if you want a place to relax between outings. For me it was perfect as I was out and about all day.
- Sara (7/5): Good -
- Coach (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robedmonds (10/5): Maria's Great Stay - There was plenty of space, and unlike most places we have stayed, the rooms were dark at night. The host provided many little extras in the kitchen pantry and bathroom. We were able to travel to Downtown Montreal on public transport and shop nearby for groceries. The entry was well lit for our return in the evening. The room could do with more ventilation and natural light.
- Lai (8/5): Good location, reasonably priced, comfortable stay - Good location, good parking availability, spacious studio, helpful with simple breakfast and also washer. Would highly recommend to others.
- Bill (4/5): Uncomfortable stay! - Property is roomy (basement apartment under a row house) and has a kitchen and refrigerator for those wanting to cook. NO A/C on a hot day (a no-go had we paid more attention to this). Didn't meet Maria and instead were met by an older man that rushed through explaining features of the apartment. We had to ask for a fan otherwise the basement would have been VERY uncomfortable. Bed was not very comfortable (firm) and bedding only had bottom sheet with a warm comforter on top (European style) - no top sheet and no light blanket. Comforter was too warm to use so I used a bath towel as a small blanket when things got cooler (with fan) early in the morning. We got little sleep. I wouldn't stay there again knowing what I do now. Maybe it's ok for younger people that want a cheaper place with a kitchen. Apartment wasn't very attractive with uncovered light bulbs as ceiling lights and no working exhaust fan in bathroom (got steamy).
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Thoughtful touches, great location
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - They had bikes to lend us.
- Arvids (9/5): Superb - Had everything you might want
- Sharon (8/5): Enjoyed our stay in the NDG neighborhood and would visit again. - Our host was very accommodating, provided a great orientation and was helpful in us securing parking and recommending local eating spots. We appreciated a well stocked kitchen, clean and comfortable bed. The entrance into the unit is somewhat awkward, however doable. Would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues.
- Jean (5/5): Not as bad as it looks from outside - The bathroom was modern and well lit. Handy for bus route into city centre.kitchen had lots of equipment for anyone staying longer than a couple of nights. Hearing owners toilet waste through the sewage pipes that run through the room - along with boiler pipes for the whole house just above head height.. Hearing the chatter and heavy footsteps of those living above us.
It's a large basement with a tiny window in one corner so very dark and badly ventilated. The faux wood and brick decor added to the dinginess.
It looks awful from the outside, very dilapidated. The airport taxi driver voluntarily reassured us that it might be ok, it's a safe area, easy to be in for a few days!
- Sarah (9/5): We had a wonderful visit to Montreal and Maria Montreal was the perfect place to rest our head at night after spending t - Residential location
- Iraguha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nancy (9/5): Superb - My hosts (who lived upstairs) were most gracious -- they greeted me on arrival, helped me to sort out parking, made sure I was comfortable, and let me know that they were available to help with anything during my say should I need it. The apartment was private, well-equipped and very spacious. I had everything I needed for a very comfortable stay. I would recommend! From a values standpoint, it is wonderful to have opportunities to support this type of small, family-run business. The only downside was that, because it is a basement apartment, there was little-to-none natural light in the space. This may not matter much to visitors who are out and about during the day, however.
- Greene (8/5): Good location, great value, private suite. - It was close to many things. There was free parking. The unit is very spacious. It was very clean. The owner was very respectful and kind. The shower is very large. The suite is well equipped. I found it dark and that is not the fault of anyone. There were cobwebs in a few places although the suite overall was very clean.
- Aaron (8/5): Very good -
- Lucie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roziana (9/5): The host Maria and husband were very nice. Their place was clean and has everything we needed. - The room was big and spacious. Nothing
- Karen (9/5): First stay in a basement apartment and did not disappoint - Extremely clean property. In a quiet neighbourhood just off a main road with lots of eateries. Hosts met us and gave keys and showed us over the property. Very friendly and not intrusive at all. Bathroom was huge and even had a selection of shampoo and conditioners etc for use. Nothing
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tucker (10/5): Exceptional - The room was nice and big clean, the shower was a nice size clean bathroom and kitchen. I asked for a comfy pillow and they were able to provide. Check in and out was easy. N/A. Nothing I didn't like staying there.
- Kris (7/5): Comfy basement apartment, nice bathroom, nice neighborhood. Street parking, don't need to pay, - Location is great. Very close to main street with shops / restaurants.
Short bus ride or 15 minute walk to the nearest subway stop.
Located in West Montreal.
The best of Montreal is still accessible from the location.
Hard to beat this value for the money.
Clean and newer washroom.
Primarily used it as a landing pad/place to sleep between outings over the Formula 1 Canada GP weekend.
Would stay again. No toaster. Alexi needs to have a toaster on the counter for guests.
Other then that, fully equipped kitchen and great for making breakfasts.

- Girija (7/5): Cozy place near the city and with a lot of space. - The location is near Shrebrooke street and easily accessible by bus 105, which makes going to Vendol metro station 5 minutes. 20 minutes by walk.
The host was very helpful and provided clear details on the parking and what is available on the property. The place could be cleaner. It felt dusty.
- Jeane (8/5): Very good -
- Yogesh (10/5): Awesome! - Location and the room was better than we expected plus they gave us the access to the kitchen to prepare anything that we liked it very much There is nothing that we didn't like.
- Yuriy (9/5): Superb -
