- Colin (8/5): Lovely B&B in Brigsteer - Very nice B&B, Maureen was lovely and very accommodating, great location and lovely little village with a nice pub. The welcoming cake on arrival was a nice pick-me-up after battling the M6 and breakfast each day was great. Would definitely stay again.
- Susan (10/5): Exactly what I wanted from a B&B. Felt like a home away from home. Hope to stop again. - Amazing home, amazing location… lovely. Felt welcomed and at home. Breakfast was also great.

- Jennifer (10/5): Wonderful. I wish we had the time to stay longer. - Really friendly welcome. Such a lovely lady and very helpful. The views from bedroom were amazing, in the evening and morning alike. We both enjoyed breakfast very much. Will definitely recommend. The roads were a little narrow but they just added to the experience.

- Rachel (9/5): Would definitely go back - A lovely village with a pub The bedroom was very comfortable & the breakfast very good especially the home made bread 😃 Parking too which is always a bonus these days Not really a dislike more an observation but the shower pressure wasn’t very good, took a long time to warm up & even then it wasn’t hot Maybe time to replace it
- Jennifer (9/5): Delightful Bed and Breakfast - Lovely comfortable beds, and a beautiful view. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend a trip to this lovely b and b. There was nothing we didnt like, it's a lovely place

- anthoney (9/5): Just how a Bed and Breakfast should be. Lovely helpful host, fantastic breakfast and great value for money. - Just how a Bed and Breakfast should be. Lovely helpful host, fantastic breakfast and great value for money. Unfortunately it is getting difficult to find a genuine B&B of this type anymore- long may it stay. Nothing
- Helen (10/5): - This is a fabulous B&B in a beautiful location. Maureen is lovely and nothing was too much trouble.
I needed to leave early to join a group walk and my packed lunch was ready and waiting after an early breakfast. Gorgeous room, very comfortable, just home from home . I will definitely go back Nothing that I didn’t like
- David (8/5): -
- Marina (7/5): Lovely village, had a good time, great pub food excellent - Breakfast was excellent, hostess very friendly Decor a bit dated
- Paul (7/5): Good - Maureen was very pleasant & she was kind enough to book a table at The local pub.
Breakfast was very enjoyable with a varied menu including home baked bread.
Views across the fields were delightful. Thought the shower tray was dangerous, very slippery. Struggled to stand in there & have a shower. There was a shower mat provided but didn't see it at the time. My partner showered with her flip flops on as a safety precaution.
The Plumtree name is used by a couple of properties & we ended up at the neighbours in error.
Think the entrance needs the flowers cutting back as had to step over them to gain access through the gate.
- Kay (8/5): Proper room with a view, comfy bed & very accommodating. - Lovely,, really comfy bed. Proper room with a view and lovely to have little table and chairs and very accommodating.
- Helen (6/5): Pleasant - Owner was helpful
Breakfast was nice
Lovely village on route to the Lakes South facing bedroom - blazing hot sun that day so room very warm and duvet was winter weight for some reason
Problem with cold water from showers - there was none - tried another room too (Marie kindly allowed this) - so hot shower or nothing (on blazing hot evening unfortunately).
- Sean (10/5): Great place to stay away from the madness of the lakes - Lovely place and Maureen was such a great host. I can highly recommend Nothing
- Beverley (10/5): Definitely Worth a Return Visit - Maureen went above and beyond in helping a pair of very wet bikers get their leathers dry. Breakfast was excellent. Loved the toast.
- Julian (10/5): Lovely place and Maureen is a great host -
- Beverley (9/5): Second visit and well worth a return. - Maureen went out of her way to help two very soggy bikers by drying clothes/leathers after a wet day riding in the Lakes. Room comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was excellent.
- Manolita (9/5): Value for money - We got the mountain view in our room. The bed was comfortable, all amenities are in the room. There are plenty of towels, hanging space, non slip mat, grab rails, plenty of toilet rolls, free WIFI is working, breakfast was good. It's value for money. Our request for free parking space has been granted right away. All messages and information are given as soon as you book. The owner even allowed my husband access to the side of the house due to his disability. The road to the accommodation is very narrow. Guests should be back in the accommodation before dark as it's difficult to see if there is any vehicle coming from the opposite side. The only thing we didn't like in the accommodation is we don't know how to manipulate the shower.
- P (9/5): Superb - Straightforward B&B with lovely owner and thoughtful touches like homemade biscuits in the room and lots of homeade food at breakfast. Liked the homemade jam, museli etc being served reusuable containers rather than disposable plastic sachets that are so common these days. All fine.
- Ruth (8/5): Found the property by following the directions given by the host. Had a good nights sleep and lovely breakfast. - Excellent location and parking. Made to feel very welcome.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (7/5): Quiet, comfortable, but there is room for improvement. - A very welcoming and helpful host. Although quite rural, it is a very pretty little village - lovely views from our room, and within walking distance of the village pub, The Wheatsheaf, where we enjoyed a very nice evening meal. A little more attention to detail would have given a better impression. Bed linen wasn't ironed (so you are not even sure that it has been changed), and towels were poor and discoloured. We found a packet of coins and a book in bedside drawer, so hadn't been checked - we handed them in. Probably wouldn't stay again.
- Richard (10/5): Exellent stay - A good room friendly helpfull staff a good breakfast this place is very good
- Jeff (9/5): Rita was an outstanding host and they have such wonderful gardens and grounds - The grounds and gardens! Wonderful service and breakfast, We arrived later than expected - and I should have booked an extra day.
- Griffiths (10/5): Outstanding property and host! - It is a beautiful family home, extremely clean and comfortable. The host is so friendly she made us feel as we had met before. The location is stunning, the view from our window was trees and fields, we were close enough to Kendal but far enough away to have the most spectacular views. There wasn’t anything, outstanding property and host.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rakesh (10/5): Five stars - Maureen was a most wonderful host. She went out of the way to look after me. She cooked a special breakfast. The room was clean and all amenities were available. - Annmarie (8/5): A warm welcome, value for money, great breakfast. - The breakfast was lovely, the hostess Maureen pleasant, kind & extremely thoughtful & organised. The bathroom was cold but the bedroom itself was toasty & unlikely to be an issue in spring/summer time.

- Nicola (9/5): A very pleasant place to stay - I had a very comfortable stay, with everything I needed. There was a great choice at breakfast and it was very tasty. I was especially pleased that there were hooks in the bathroom where I could hang my towel and clothes (having recently stayed somewhere that had no hooks!)
I would be very happy to stay at Plumtree House again.

Breakfast was tasty and plenty choice - homemade bread a bonus Shower not the strongest but adequate and clean - great for our stop on the way home
- Colin (9/5): Superb -
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Carl (8/5): Nice B&B with a good breakfast. - The breakfast was very nice. Maureen the host was very pleasant. Rubber mat for the shower as it was a bit slippy.
- Hilary (9/5): Superb - A large, light room with stunning views across countryside to far hills. A large comfy bed with lots of pillows to choose from. No wardrobe but we only stayed overnight so it wasn't a problem. Tea, coffee, etc all complementary in the room, as were the generous toiletries in the bathroom. Shower water was hot and plentiful in a good sized shower. Full English breakfast was delicious as well as lots of other choices. The hosts were super helpful and friendly. Nothing!
- Mack (6/5): Average - Breakfast was very nice, location was very good Cleanliness, was not enough tea bags and milk, the advertisements for the property did not match, thought it was very expensive, not value for the money

We only stayed the one night as we was attending a wedding down the road, but would happily stay again if we was to come back. Maureen was friendly and was very accommodating with an early check in so we could sort ourselves out before we went to the wedding and the breakfast was really good and the homemade shortbread in the room was a nice touch.
