• Caroline (10/5): Genoten - Een eenvoudig en efficiënt onderkomen. De vriendelijkheid van de mensen. Het was anders dan het hotel wat ik eerder had. En 4 x goedkoper. De prachtige ligging aan het strand. Niets eigenlijk. Alleen met het slot van mijn deur kon ik niet omgaan. En dat werd gefixt.

• Aaron (8/5): Great place to stay especially if you want to experience how real gambians live it isn’t the main tourist area so there - Staff were very friendly and assisted me with whatever I needed especially the manager hassan and his assistant pa. It’s on the beach and in a semi rural area which I enjoyed because I was around actual Gambians and got to experience how they live not Africans from other countries like there is in Senegambia There were a few power issues but only at night but remember this isn’t Europe so I expected this

• BENEDIKT (10/5): - unglaublich tolles Personal, bestes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Bin mit Absicht als erstes an einen ruhigen Strand zum Ankommen in Gambia und die Location war dazu perfekt, hab direkt von 3 auf 4 Nächte verlängert komme gern wieder. Für den Preis unschlagbar Wasserdruck in der Dusche könnte besser sein u die vielen, langen Stromausfälle in dieser Region nerven ein wenig

• mick (1/5): Terrible experience after a long flight - The staff were great If the power worked ,if the wi fi worked ,if if the roof dudnt leak into the bed , if it wasn’t a nightmare to find , it might have been a good place to stay

• Hanna (8/5): - Mir hat es dort sehr gut gefallen. Der Strand ist ganz nah und die Unterkunft in sicherer Umgebung. Auf meine Wünsche wurde sehr liebevoll eingegangen. Der Weg dorthin ist sehr beschwerlich und für normale Autos nicht zu empfehlen.
• Denise (10/5): Excellent, it was everything I hoped it would be - My stay at Mangrove exceeded my expectations, I was made to feel very welcome. Thank you to Awa, Pa and the boys who couldn’t do enough for me, I feel they are all my extended family, very sad to leave but I will be back! I cannot fault anything, I went hoping to experience local life and I experienced so much more than I could have wished for , huge thank you to those who took me out and about, loved the experience of the local buses/taxis

• Federico (9/5): Superb - Pa, the manager is a great person and he will help you everything you need, even as a guide, if you need one. And the free lift from the airport, specially if you arrive at night, is very useful. The beach in front of the hotel is great and also the cooker!!
• Judith (9/5): Superb - The location is less than a minutes walk from the beach and in the heart of Sanyangs fishing community. Lots of lovely walks, swimming , drumming and local culture Mangrove Beach Lodge is a family run business. The staff go out of their way to help. On that basis alone I would visit again The price for the rooms at the lodge were affordable
• Cheryl (4/5): Beautiful isolated location with beach. Fantastic staff. Facilities need upgrading. - The staff were amazing and did everything possible to make us comfortable and make our stay enjoyable. They set up lovely beds for us to relax on the beautiful beach and checked on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. The food is some of the best we had in The Gambia. The cook was trained with one of the most accomplished cooks in the country and every one of our meals was delicious. The facilities are not what they claim to be. One of the main reasons we picked it was because the description said there was air conditioning. There is not--only a fan which did little to cool the room.
