Guest Reviews
- Alexander (8/5): Toll - Sehr schöne Moderne Zimmer
- Cynthia (10/5): Beautiful views in a mountain town with rooms recently renovated. - WE had a beautiful view room overlooking the Dolomites. Rooms were all renovated a few years ago. The beds were comfortable. Luigi bent over backward to make sure we were comfortable. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Easy to find. All was good.

- Edel (10/5): This hotel is in a fabulous location. We loved it - The property is beautifully renovated. In an amazing location with a fabulous view Nothing

- Amy (9/5): Good central accommodation in an incredible mountain town. Worth the visit! - Great location, easy access from limited parking. Spa was not open so we didn’t access it. Very off season for tourists but they opened the restaurant just for us. No view from the room, but balcony (and view) is accessible from the common area.
- Leonetti (9/5): Hotel in ottima posizione con camera confortevole, accogliente e pulita. Consigliato! -
- Marta (3/5): -
- Susanna (8/5): -
- Geoff (9/5): Great location - easy to find parking nearby - Nothing
- andrew (3/5): felt trapped, would warn woke-culturally hip fellow travelers to avoid. - really nothing... the website photos are very deceiving. our issues began when the hotel owner Luigi called us to inform us the hotel rooms were too small to accomodate our small family of 2 adults and 2 small children, although we've traveled this way many times before. he would not allow us to cancel so forced us to book another room and divide our family, not even putting our rooms side by side. the breakfast is 10 euro per person which is a huge rip off as it doesnt include much more than basic pastries and coffee. walk 10 meters up the street for a better coffee, pastry and experience. the hotel feels quiet, sterile and akward. we travel often and are quite reasonable but this experience felt odd and like a tourist trap... he should have allowed us to cancel our stay so we could have booked ourselves in somewhere else that would accomodate the size of our family and he could have avoided this poor review...

- Paul (10/5): Highly recommended - The hotel was recently refurbished, rooms were lovely, well designed with a contemporary touch, all very functional and super comfortable. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay in this beautiful village. Nothing
- Erica (8/5): -
- Rose (9/5): Great for overnight - Amazing location Owner was overly involved in out check in. Escorting us even to our room and showing us the bathroom and such. He and his wife. The room was very small, but comfortable. Also no coffee or hot pot in the room and breakfast doesn’t start until 8 am. Not ideal for an early riser.

- Antonio (10/5): - Pulizia, posizione, cortesia dello staff.
- TING CHUNG (10/5): Hands down the highest quality accommodation in Castelmezzano - Everything about the hotel is top notch. The location is a mere 20m from the bus station which is critical for those relying on public transportation. Since the village is small, the hotel is no more than 200m from the main square which overlooks the entire valley where Castelmezzano is nestled. The interior of the reception area, the rest lounge and the restaurant as well as the room all testifies to the impeccable taste of the hotel owner Luigi. There is a lot of vintage furniture and decor that epitomizes contemporary Italian design at its finest while still honoring traditional craftsmanship that’s hard to come by. The room itself is also very comfortable with customized classic furniture. The balcony provides an excellent view of the village. Breakfast was very high quality and abundant in variety. The hotel staff are welcoming and hospitable while the owner himself clearly takes a lot of pride in this family-run hotel, and rightfully so, as he walked us through the story behind a few pieces of the interior. An extra blanket may be helpful and there was not much room for our luggage.

- Stephanie (10/5): Comfortable, welcoming, convenient and clean. - Everything was wonderful- the owner and staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and efficient. The bathrooms were big and the shower had great pressure. The restaurant had a great spread for breakfast and our dinner was fantastic. I have no complaints whatsoever.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Beautiful room overlooking view and comfortable bed but breakfast disappointing - Stunning location Breakfast selection very sparse and nothing was replenished
- Angelika (10/5): Erholung pur - Ein extrem geschmackvoll gestaltetes Hotel. Sehr hilfsbereites, freundliches Personal.
- Marie (10/5): -
- Joseph (10/5): - Magical first time visit to my grandfather's birthplace on the Festival Weekend...met several distant relatives...a wonderful personal experience 😁
- Jody (10/5): Gem of a visit! - Location, comfort, style. Castlemezzano is a gem of a town. Should not be missed on a trip to Southern Italy..if only for an overnight. And then stay at the Dolomiti. Perfect if you are driving. Parking nearby (important in this part of the country!). Everything about this hotel was delightful. Nothing, everything was wonderful.

- Carrie (9/5): - Lovely spot in Castelmezzano. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The location is right at the entrance of the small town to make it easy to park and get bags. The hotel is newly renovated, clean, comfortable, and quiet. We had a lovely stay. Sunday is fairly crowded, so if you're confused about parking, I recommend pulling to the side and running in to get clarification from the hotel.
- Amy (10/5): It was wonderful! - Location, clean and updated, staff were amazing and very accommodating.
- Andreea (7/5): -
- Tiago (10/5): Sensacional - Tudo impecável. Luigi extremamente simpático e prestativo. Decoração ótima. Tudo novo e manutenção maravilhosa.
- Henk (9/5): Prima hotel!
Ontbijtbuffet is prima.
- sam (9/5): I would go back - Location. Modern Elevator not working. No spa staff. Parking was a challenge
- kevin (8/5): good location within the town, very friendly staff - good location, for the town, friendly staff, and small terrace on the front of the hotel for drinks with views of the town. rooms were large and clean. town is worth a visit and the VIP wire a must the parking is street parking and had to park 300m away from hotel
- Matteo (9/5): Comfortable stay in Castelmezzano - The hotel has a very nice design, with comfortable and spacious rooms. It is located just a few steps from the public parking where tourists have to park (the town is closed to general traffic).

- sally (10/5): - We stayed for a single night in August on our way to Puglia and were blown away by this hotel. The rooms and the food were exceptional, and staff were so accommodating and helpful. The location is magical with loads of activities in castelmezzano itself. We will already be planning our next stay! Parking was a bit tricky in castelmezzano . Would be great to have a coffee maker in the room to have one on the balcony in the morning
- Centola (8/5): - Struttura molto curata e pulita.
- Nina (10/5): Great location, comfortable and staff were lovely - Location was excellent for someone who has difficulty walking and wanted to visit Castelmezzano and still be able to appreciate the town. Bed was comfortable, lift was an added bonus. Staff were amazing 🤩 Nothing, it was an excellent stay. I was made very welcome

- Giuseppe (7/5): If you would like to spend extra money for the location, view and very nice go for it - Location, interior design, staff Expensive for the category and the service that did not provide but advertised, like spa
- Maria (10/5): Good location and very dedicated staff. - It is ideal as a base for activities such as the Volo del Angelo, woodland walks, buggy or quad excursions.
- Lanie (9/5): Superb -
- Bonilla (10/5): It was excellent. - It was an updated and nice facility. The staff is great. Signore Luigi is friendly and informative.
- Pl (10/5): Best hotel in Castelmezzano & Pietrapertosa area - The hotel has been beautifully renovated and is modern, clean, and full of charm. The beds are large and comfortable, with high-quality bedding that made for a great night’s sleep after long days of walking.
The spa was a lovely bonus, and the restaurant and bar serve delicious local food. Staff were kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We were in the area for a wedding and were surprised by how beautiful and peaceful the villages of Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa are, authentic, full of character, and not touristy at all.
Castelmezzano is very steep, so be prepared for uphill walks but it’s worth every step. We’ll definitely come back.
- Han (10/5): Fantastic design hotel in Castelmezzano - The design and the location and the staff
- Ann-louise (10/5): Beautiful hotel in central location - Great decor. Exceptionally clean and comfortable in perfect location. Easy for parking. Staff friendly and accomodating.
- Clinton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (8/5): Great value hotel in an interesting village off the beaten track - Newly renovated comfortable rooms with a lovely balcony looking over the valley
- Kitchin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Giuseppe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicky (7/5): Good - Very central location. Good food at the restaurant Wet room shower soaked the room. Our room looked onto a tall wall, no view at all
- John (10/5): Outstanding views of the Dolomites! Great location! - Highly recommend this property for the value and the clean, modern and new designed hotel. The included breakfast is lovely. Even offered made to order eggs. Staff is so pleasant and helpful! The view from our room was amazing. We had a balcony that allowed us to see the Dolomites and the stunning spring flowers not to mention watch the riders on the angel zipline. After dusk, we enjoyed the fireworks in the town up in the Dolomites. Really special! Nothing
- Vishakha (8/5): Great place, really nice rooms - Super clean, modern, the room was very nice, you could get amazing views, great breakfast for 10 euros pp, Since it was a transitionary season spring to summer, the air conditioning was not working. But we’ve been told that it is only during that season.
- Paul (8/5): Nice hotel for a quick visit to Castelmezzano. - Very nice room, and bed was comfortable (think if IKEA had a hotel). Restaurant was nice if you can get a reservation. Highly recommend break because there not much else available in the area and it included coffee. Directions to get there were confusing but Luigi was a huge help. Very close to the town and what it had to offer.
- Vilma (10/5): If you want to see & capture the spirit of this beautiful setting in Castelmezzano in comfort, stay here in Hotel Do - Location, location,; Luigi’s friendly & kind attentiveness and his entire staff were super! Great breakfast options. An elevator!!! First in our 3-week’s travel so far. For seniors, it was a God-send with so many stair steps everywhere along our trip! N/A. Liked everything.
- Jeffery (8/5): Clean hotel in magnificent little village - The hotel was easy to get to and just inside the ZTL, with subsidised parking close by. Our street front parking had a mountain view. Breakfast was great. The rooms are very tidy and clean and quite modern. Be aware that the road in front of the hotel is very busy and the town is very busy over weekends. We had a very disturbed night with motor bikes and party groups in the road outside our second floor windown until 3am.
- Chad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phongsin (8/5): Very good - The location of hotel is in the old town but still convenient for traveler with large suitcase. The interior design of hotel is like hotel in Scandinavian style. very modern compare to exterior appearance. The hotel manager and staff are very nice. He explain the room detail and how to operate very well. Breakfast is good but not many choice.
- Philip (6/5): Pleasant -
- Peter (7/5): Castelmezzano ,Dieci e lode. - It's a yearly "pilgrimage," a driving holiday hopping from one Italian borgho to another . Castelmezzano was our first "stop over," and the hotel was the best in this little village . 😍
- Trevor (10/5): A brilliant hotel in an unbelievable location - Everything was excellent Nothing. All was fine.
- Christine (10/5): We love the village - Great location, very good restaurant on site Nothing
