- Jenny (10/5): Peaceful break away in the mountains. - We enjoyed the location, up in the mountains.
The property was clean and tidy and well equipped. We loved that our fur baby was welcome and everything had been thought of. We were warm and cosy. Great communication.
- Paisley (8/5): Lovely house but check the fine print - Lovely house with lots of facilities. Not far from a main town and shops. Excellent facilities for dogs and walks nearby. Parking straight outside the house. When I booked the house it was for myself, my brother and my 2 dogs. I later decided to invite my partner for one night. We were soon contacted after arrival saying I would have to pay for my extra guest as the house was only booked for two people. I then realised the owner must have watched us arrive on the ring doorbell camera and this immediately put me on edge as I felt like we were being watched. I asked how much extra for the extra guest to spend one night as this wasn't made clear on booking and he would not be using any additional beds, towels etc. I was told £30. Not wanting to spoil my holiday i asked how to pay this and was told they would have to get back to me. The next day I was given a link to a monzo account and told the rate would be an extra £40.50. I asked why the change in price and was told that they charge extra per person as they don't charge any extra for dogs. I was unhappy but paid the money after a couple of messages from the owner asking me to pay before checkout.

- Anne (9/5): We had a lovely stay, lots of walking, we had great weather & the dogs loved it. - It was modern very clean & tidy. The double bunk bed was uncomfortable & creaked a lot.

- Alan (10/5): - Great location. Friendly staff. Clean and modern furnishings. Friendly neighbours adjoining the property. Double bunk bed rattled and squeaked a lot waking me up when the person above moved during the night. Hard metal ladders to the top bunkbed unusable unless wearing shoes or slippers.

- nick (8/5): Very comfortable and easy to park opposite the property - Clean and well equipped. Minor issues - more than one tea towel would help drying up.
The shelves in the front bedroom protrude too far from the wall and too easy to bump into.
- Lisa (10/5): Fantastic 3 night family break - Beautiful cottage surrounded wonderful views. Of Afan forest. Lots of local walks, and 40 minutes from the coast The garden was across the road and could’ve been more user friendly, but it didn’t bother us as we were out and about a lot
- Colleen (10/5): Really lovely cottage in a beautiful area. - The cottage is lovely. It was exactly what we expected going by the photos. Lovely views. The neighbours were really nice. Very chatty and helpful. There is a village green very close to the cottage that was great for the dog. As for the 'approach' to the property, which received a complaint, it is a residential street. Cottages one side and the garages on the other. There is nothing the owner could do about what the neighbours choose to keep around their garages. The garage for Cregan Cottage is kept tidy. In any case, we didn't see a problem with any of it anyway. We had a lovely time and hope to return one day. There wasn't anything we didn't like. Unless you don't like driving where there are a lot of steep hills. In that case you need to avoid the whole area. 😊
- JULIE (10/5): Loved the bath, felt like a queen. Quiet area. - it was self catering. It was perfect for our needs
- Rachel (8/5): Very good - Location great No kettle and no plug for the bath
- Tiffany (6/5): Pleasant - The house itself is good and it’s a good price. Beds were comfy and linen was clean. The pictures are a bit misleading, especially the approach of the property. The approach is not nice at all. Metal garages, caravans and rubbish everywhere.
The pictures definitely don’t show any of this.
The bath looks incredible in the picture but it is not practical at all. It’s so deep you have to really be careful getting in and out. There are hidden costs which I feel are unnecessary. You have to pay if you use more than 7 hours heating, pay for washing machine and so on.
There is also no body wash provided.
- Deividas (10/5): Exceptional - We had most amazing time in Wales. The host was super friendly and helped in every way.
- Deb (10/5): Beautiful modern house in a stunning location. - Beautifully decorated, very comfortable and absolutely immaculate! We didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back!
- Elliot (9/5): Superb -
- Scott (10/5): We had a great stay, warm & cosy. -
- Walker (10/5): My little valley getaway at Cregan Cottage - Great place to stay, peaceful and calm, lovely cottage decorated beautifully with all modern tech and everything needed for the perfect getaway included, didn't want to leave, host Mel so very helpful and always on hand for assistance if required, really warm and personal approach, absolutely thought of everything in equipping the home for everything needed. Immediate access paths to some great walks into the Afan Forrest from the property too...Couldn't of asked for more 😊 Nothing I didn't like about the property.
