The riad itself is beautifully decorated in traditional Moroccan style, and my room was clean, comfortable, and full of charm. The hospitality was truly exceptional; the host was warm, helpful, and made me feel right at home.

• Elise (9/5): Wonderful! - The Riad was beautiful! The staff were very kind and even helped our friends who did not stay here find another Riad after a poor experience at their first place! The bed and showers were excellent and it was so nice to have AC with how hot the weather was! We had a wonderful breakfast as well provided by the Riad! The located was good, out of the busy streets filled with shops but a super close walk! Would definitely recommend! The door to our room locked, but it seemed pretty easy to bust through without much effort. I would say that the Riad might need to fix the lock on the door to make it more sturdy!
• Andrei (2/5): Very poor - Upon arrival I was informed that there were no rooms, although I had a reservation, and I was moved to another guest house in much worse conditions, with a leaking roof in the bathroom.
• Jamy (10/5): Amazing staff and clean! - I had food poisoning during my stay, and the staff truly went out of their way to help. They made me a special tea, and Ismail even offered to go to the pharmacy for me, thank you so much, Ismail! The property itself was lovely and very clean. They also clean the rooms every morning if you’d like. The bed was a bit harsh but the rest was perfect

• Gabriel (9/5): Superb - Stayed here for 3 nights from May 6 to 9th. Great location near the entry of the medina and within a 3 minute walk from the parking garage, which was very helpful since I had a rental. Within walking distance to the Medina, restaurants, and all attractions to see. Staff was very friendly, facilities were clean, the room was spacious, had hot water and breakfast was tasty and filling. I also had to leave at 8 am on the 9th and requested a takeaway breakfast, which was provided. Would stay here again in the future! The bed was more on the harder side.

We booked a room that was occupied by other guests. We were accommodated in a room on the 1st floor, where the guests and staff gathered. It was noisy and there were no windows. We would not book this room online.

• Nikoleta (9/5): It is highly recommended. - It’s a traditional, old style Riad, that is clean and welcoming to live a local experience. Abdo, who is running the business, is very kind and helpful. He gave a lot of information about the area according to our needs. A bit introvert building. Not shiny. But is part of the experience of how locals live in medina.
• Jett (9/5): Superb - Location is good. Very close to the heart of the medina but also close enough to the edge that you can park only a couple blocks away. Riad staff will help you find a spot to park if you contact them in advance. Abdul was great- gave us a map of Fes and advice about what to see. He also packed us a to-go breakfast bc we needed to leave early before normal breakfast hours. Our room was pretty spacious. The bathroom was a little tight (had to use the toilet sideways bc it was so close to the wall) and had some mildew. Our room was just off the lobby right next to the check-in desk so the sound carried some.
• Richard (10/5): A lovely small boutique hotel / Dar very convenient to old Fes. Great staff, food, rooftop terraces. - Location was central Fes, close to the Medina, so very convenient. The breakfast was very good, cooked there and brought to us. We were also offered an evening meal which was cooked on site in their little kitchen. It was so good we had it the second night as well - and the cost was a reasonable 120Dhm each. The two young men we interacted with - the staff - were completely delightful and so helpful. This is a delightful small guest house or "Dar". Some of the other guests were a little noisy talking and laughing loudly on one evening which was a little annoying. It is called a Riad on Booking.com but actually it's a Dar and is called Dar LalaMoune on its local sign - a touch confusing!
• Denise (9/5): Highly recommend! - The staff were fantastic! So helpful and responsive to our needs. Breakfasts were great and varied and we had a delicious dinner there. We had a heater in our room which was necessary in January and lots of hot water. For people with mobility issues, request a main floor room as the stairs were steep.

• Dandanbidam (10/5): Value for money! - I loved that this is the only riad we booked that has wonderful heating. The winter time in Morocco is no joke at night. I had a very comfortable sleep. They cleaned and arranged our beds daily. Location was a few minutes' walk from usual tour pick-ups. Our room, though, was just beside the receiving area, so you can hear people coming in. The bathroom has a weird smell. You'll need to walk through an alley way to find the riad. Upon walking to the riad, a man kept on blocking our luggage and was convincing us to a riad he knows better, but just make sure to ignore those people. They're all over Morocco.

• Angie (10/5): Very good place to stay - location is excellent and is close to Blue Gate. Very nice decoration. My room was fantastic. Hot water and good wifi. Because it was Ramadan we were all invited for dinner free of charge. There is also a terrace for smoking, chilling out or drying the clothes. The staff speak very good English. I highly recommend it.
• Rina (10/5): Exceptional - I like everything. Riad is old and I liked decoration. Twice I had wonderful room with a bathroom. Everything was perfect. Riad is close from the Blue gate and easy to find. Staff speak very good english. There is terrace on the roof.
• Sante (10/5): Simplicity, kind heartedness and great value for money! - Nice and colourful traditional Moroccan rihad managed by two young guys who are the real gems of this place: Soufiane and Abdou, smiling and friendly at all times. Thank you for your help throughout the trip and for making us feel welcome every minute of our holiday. The chicken lemon they serve on the terrace is super tasty.

• David (7/5): Make sure you're taken to the correct riad. - I was well-looked-after by the two guys running the riad but my stay got off to a bad start. After being collected from the train station I was taken to a different riad, also run by Hamza, without being told what was happening or why. Eventually I was told 'there is a problem' at Riad LalaMoune but as always in Morocco communication is the issue. The riad I was taken to was nice but I was in a ground floor room opening directly off reception, so doors banging and lights going on and off all night. I was eventually taken to LalaMoune but given I was paying the bill, the fact no-one thought to discuss any of this with me was poor, and I said so. They also wanted to be paid in cash, which they don't tell you on the website . . .

They were very accommodating, kind and interesting to talk to you. The location was perfect right in the Medina but behind all the chaos. Was next to great restaurants and places of Interest!
