Guest Reviews
- Neasa (9/5): Perfect base for the lovely town of Bicheno, which has pretty walks, rocks explori by and a great selection of food and - Gorgeous wild location, great after a day spent at Freycinet and onwards exploring further north. Lovely comfy beds, decent shower and amazing views. Some more basic kitchen items; pepper, scissors, spare tea towel and a dustpan and brush would be perfect! One bedroom didn’t have a blind so woke up with morning light but I had packed my eye mask.

- Brian (9/5): We had a great stay at this comfortable property enjoying extensive views, local wildlife, and comfortable facilities. - Amazing location and extensive views, wildlife around the property, living off grid but facilities were great. Nothing

- Jody (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay at wild sanctuary. Our children wanted to stay forever. - Everything was truly amazing. The view was fantastic. The facilities in the house were well thought out, and lots of extras provided. It was such a relaxing location.
- Felicity (10/5): -
- Subashini (9/5): It was an exciting, comfortable and interesting stay - We enjoyed the surrounding and wild animals The very road leading to the house. Clogged shower drain.
- Dan (10/5): - Amazing property, located in the middle of the nature. Beautiful house, warm and spacious. We received the visit of a few wallabies during our stay, which was very exciting =)
- Mark Herron (9/5): Quite the find! - We loved this place! A genuine wild escape with sweeping views beyond the beautiful eucalypt forest and out to the distant ocean!
These views could be enjoyed from every room as well as from the outdoor balcony.
High end furniture gave it an up-market feel with thoughtful presentation at every turn.
Would definitely recommend, especially considering the location close to some fabulous beaches and the Ben Aspley National Park.
We loved our stay! The hand held shower was unable to be clipped into place and there were no matches to even consider lighting the outdoor fire. Surprised a microwave wasn't available whilst the mattress was a little soft. That being said, there were far more positives, so much so that it has to be one of the most special stays we have experienced.
- Suzanne (9/5): - Peaceful location with wonderful views. Comfortable bed, quality linen, towels.

- Zoe (10/5): Relaxing escape from this digital world. living in the moment with simple pleasures. - We enjoyed the isolation peacefulness and tranquility. It was also great to not hear any noise and no streetlights etc. We had one nosy padymelon who kept an eye on us and who was very friendly. We were missing a pair of scissors. The shower head leaks really badly. We were a bit dubious about having a bath with no blind Mr padymelon was watching. Even just a partial blind like the ones downstaairs would have been good. The internet shelf in the bedroom glowed like a sputnik so it was turned off.
- Fiona (10/5): Our stay at Wild Sanctuary was everything plus more that we hoped for. - The location, the peacefulness’, view and the accommodation was absolutely amazing. I loved everything about the property
- Marion (10/5): Great earthy house, close to Bicheno and Apsley gorge - Secluded with lovely views Nothing
- Alex (9/5): Superb -
- Kristy (9/5): Superb -
- Adriana (10/5): A great getaway in a tranquil and picturesque location. - Secluded and tranquil. Amazing location and views.
- Sujata (5/5): Excellent property, but the stay marred by the stinking experience. - The odour from the toilets made the stay unbearable. Odour management was poor: the toilets had no exhaust, the window near the toilet seat upstairs could not be opened. After only a single use of the toilet and despite using the wood chips (as advised), the odour was unbearable and percolated through the house if the bathroom door was left open. Using the bathroom for any other purpose was made near impossible due to the stench.
- Janae (10/5): This property is absolutely beautiful! It was the perfect place to relax and reconnect! -
- Isabel (8/5): Eco, scenic, clean - Beds v comfy and view was amazing. Loved the honey from the property that was a nice touch! Enjoyed making the fire as house was quite cold- instructions were a great help as we aren’t used to making them :D We loved how eco the property was and enjoy seeing wallabies and even saw a devil late at night run off the driveway! Massive highlight! Only issue was the gravel drive- our SUV struggled and we skidded a lot on the way up.
- Gurkirpal (9/5): Superb - The views are gorgeous and a very peaceful location There isn't a microwave so had to use the stove each time.
- Laurent (10/5): Really amazing ! - A big house, with all yu want having in Holliday…
So biutifull place !
- Lauren (6/5): Pleasant - Beautiful view. Large bedrooms. The fireplace didn’t warm the house very well. No curtains in the bedroom. Lots of empty space in the living area.
- Julie (9/5): Superb - Beautiful house with amazing views. Quiet and secluded, surrounded by nature. Beautifully clean. Great library with lots of books and games. The fireplace was wonderful, and much needed. The house was very cold, as we were there in winter. The only heating was the fireplace, with no heating in any of the rooms or bathrooms. There were no laundry facilities, but the hosts kindly provided access to laundry facilities at their other property, only a few minutes drive away.
- Jonathon (10/5): We only stayed one night but we will definitely be back, had the fire going, played the games supplied and left feeling - Clean, warm and quiet. Absolutely loved the space Nothing
- Cate (9/5): Fabulous experience - We loved the remoteness- and the off grid experience. They do this very well. Comfortable and warm in May. Also the honey from the property was delicious! I would have loved a user manual. The heat is a slow combustion fire- while we are familiar with 2 types this one was different - would have loved a user guide to ensure we were using it efficiently. Also would have loved to cook pizza in the bottom! Also would have been interested to know how the solar system and battery were working to know how much energy we were using. But a great house- loved the feel, loved the wallabies, loved the experience!
- Kaye (10/5): Exceptional - Private, quiet, everything you need
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Is very private and roomy. Views are great.
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Clare (8/5): Great spot - Fantastic location and views to the ocean No laundry facilities
- Rosemary (8/5): Cooker hard to work out. - The view was exceptional and the facilities were clean and comfortable The road up to the house was gravel it was slippery and hard to drive on
- Karamveer (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (9/5): Well enjoyed. - Wonderful experience for our family. Weather was bit wet otherwise will enjoy breakfast on the balcony with mountain view in the fresh air. Nil phone signals but good wifi in the house.
