- stephen (7/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): Excellent value, super location, great staff and exceptional value. - Everything was good except the shower room that was small and shower weak but this was manageable for a couple of days. Breakfast and staff excellent. Very small shower room and weak shower.
- Graham (8/5): Nice hotel, great location and food, friendly staff - Good food and friendly staff Room was a bit small
- stephen (10/5): -

- Elaine (10/5): - Lovely little room with see view will be back next year stayed in all the others in portpatrick this was best one yet and excellent value for money and lovely staff and food. All round excellent Toilet a little small if their is a negative
- Eleanor (6/5): - Location to golf club. Room hadn't been properly cleaned. Carpet not hoovered. Bathroom not cleaned.
- Mckeown (7/5): -
- Raymond (10/5): - Very good and reasonably priced Parking is hit and miss but nothing can be done about this

- Rachel (9/5): Hotel with a view! - Fabulous location. Easy to find. All staff were exceptional, great service. We had a fabulous evening meal and cooked breakfast. The room was extremely clean and tidy. Overall it was great value for money and we would definitely return and recommend. Nothing to really complain about. Our room was very small, we could have done with a bit more space and a sea view would have topped the stay off. However, this is not a complaint as it was really our fault. We booked late and there was very limited room choice left. We were only there one night so it wasn't a massive issue. If we were to visit again we would just book earlier and request a bigger room. It definitely hasn't put us off returning.
- Lynne (10/5): Brilliant gem of a find in a stunning location - Position, right by the sea. Really pleasant and friendly staff. Fantastic food
- Stewart (8/5): Good value for money. Great food and service. - Breakfast was good quality. Location, right beside the harbour, waa beautiful. Bathroon was a bit small.
- Megan (10/5): Very good would go back - Friendly staff, good breakfast, good price.. An old building means the room and en-suite were relatively small but well thought out layout with tea, hairdryer, hanging space and good shower made for a comfortable stay. A shelf in the bathroom would have been helpful
- Raymond (5/5): - Location & Staff are fantastic. Our first room the smell from the sewers was overpowering & raw sewage was coming out of the shower drain. My Wife & I spent one night but complained the next morning as we both felt sick. Moved to another room & it was just OK. Carpet wasn't hovered & on our last night the wall sockets fused which I wasn't surprised about because it was extension cables that where being used and where overloaded. Very dangerous & could cause a fire. We where accommodated in an older house which was converted into four rooms but talking to other guests who had rooms in the main hotel building it seemed to be OK. Staff where friendly & breakfast was brilliant. But we definitely wouldn't stay in any of the converted houses again.
- David (7/5): -
- Nikki & Karl (9/5): Very enjoyable short break - Staff were great, really friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, excellent beer garden overlooking the harbour. Ensuite was functional but very small, could do with more hooks for towels etc No extractor fan when showering.
- Morrison (8/5): -
- Chris (8/5): - Food and bedroom views were excellent.
Staff were very helpful.
Room 6 was delightful.
Portpatrick is very picturesque We stayed twice, once in room 6 and then room 2.
TV signal was very bad in room 2 and the room was very small. Having said that, I would stay again....and probably will !!

- Ann (10/5): Hotel was great. Big shout out to Jade and Milly. - The hotel was lovely! Very central too everything. Every member of staff was lovely and very friendly. Nothing negative about the hotel
- Marion (9/5): Wonderful Weekend - The location is 1st class, you couldn't ask for more. I had a bedroom at the front of the hotel, with a wonderful view over the water. I have stayed at this hotel twice before, but have never been lucky enough to have a front room. There was nothing to dislike.
- Gerald (9/5): A very nice stay - Location, price ,breakfast
- Handley (10/5): - The staff were friendly, the accommodation was lovely, and the room was a good size, with a lovely sea view.
- SUGGS65 (7/5): A windy weekend in Portpatrick - Love everything about Portpatrick. The breakfast was good each morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we were given was below par for this hotel. As it was very windy outside when we were in the room there was a strong draft from the window as it didn't close properly. The 'bathroom' was the smallest I have ever been in. After coming out the shower you had to move into the bedroom to dry yourself as no space in toilet to move. But would still go back to the Waterfront and stay in a different room.
- David (5/5): A very poky room with a view of the kitchen roof. Very poor ventilation and VERY small bathroom. - Location
- Janet (9/5): Excellent value for money. - Lovely friendly place and Good little bar
Right on harbour Nothing
- Millen (10/5): Had a great anniversary be back soon - Breakfast was spot on location was amazing Nothing great stay
- McLean (4/5): Decent value for money. Could be better with small tweaks. - The location was ideal.
The staff were friendly. The bed was on rollers an moved away from the wall when you put your head on the pillow.
The shower in the room didn’t work. Only identified in the morning before leaving. No one was available at reception to report this to and I was in a rush.
The front door of the cottage area didn’t lock, Meaning my room door was directly accessible to anyone.
- Vivien (7/5): - Lovely staff, location ,breakfast beautiful good value for money .was there for 2 nights first night our fog wouldn't settle with wind and guest noise so they kindly let us change next day for a quieter room very helpful and accommodating. Very dated ,rooms very small and not mutch privacy bathroom in room was a cupboard with facilities in
- STEVEN (1/5): -
- Alan (7/5): Had a good stay good was excellent - Right at the front A bit cramped
- Bruce (9/5): last-minute, but a comfortable place for catching an early ferry - It was a last-minute booking in order to catch a ferry the next morning (which was cancelled, but that's another story!), and the hotel was very accommodating about my late arrival. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, small but adequate bathroom, and a lovely view across the harbor. It was about 25 minutes from Cairnryan, and I'll definitely remember this place in future. Very reasonable price as well.
- Andrea (9/5): -
- John (5/5): -
- John (4/5): Good for the bonnie but very tired - The area where it was situated The beds moved when on them
The accommodation was vert tired
End of mop heads under the bed
My stepdaughter had a room and her sink was full of back surge
- Jack (10/5): Excellent stay - Every thing about it The rain
- Mark (10/5): - Great clean, comfortable room with an excellent sea view.
Food was amazing, staff very friendly, warm and go out of their way to help you.
Atmosphere in the bar was great and good craic.
Accepted dogs with open arms
- Chris (9/5): Easter stay with Peggy the Westie - Great Welcome from.Laura. lovely room (large double with harbour view). Amazing food, service and drinks. Awesome location. A small leak from upstairs into the ensuite needs looking at. Tap sends water over edge of sink. Shower pressure isn't great. Needs a towel rail.
- Helon (8/5): -
- Ronald (8/5): Very pleasant stay & good value for money. - Great Location, very friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of food and drinks.
Rooms small but very clean and tidy. The main door between rooms 3 and 4 out to the stairs to reception was spring loaded and banged loudly every time someone left our entered.
- Shaun (9/5): -
- COLIN (7/5): -
- DELIA (10/5): Best value small hotel in SW Scotland - Without a shadow of a doubt, this is the best value small hotel in SW Scotland. The food is great, the beer is excellent (Galloway black) and the breakfast is to die for. The rooms are small but clean, comfortable and recently modernised. The hotel is in a superb position right beside the sea. Add to that the extremely helpful and welcoming staff and competitive prices and you arrive at the opening sentence. (And no, I have no connection whatsoever to the hotel, the hotel staff or to lovely Portpatrick) Nothing
- Helen (10/5): Will stay here again. - Fabulous location. Staff were all so friendly. Food was amazing and a fabulous breakfast with staff again being so attentive.
- Avril (8/5): It was lovely staff very nice will stau again -

- Drysdale (5/5): Great sea view - Location great, all staff are lovely pleasant chat away and look after you.
Bed comfortable The owner didn't interact with guests, no are you ok or enjoying your stay
- Lisa (10/5): - Great food, friendly staff and clean room albeit a bit small.
- Ronald (9/5): Great stay in a great location - Stayed several times and love it . Location is great , rooms comfortable and great value . Nothing
- Beth (8/5): - Windows
- Jack (9/5): -
- ROBERT (7/5): Overall good value for money. - Located on the seafront with excellent views from the room. Fantastic breakfast freshly prepared. Poor everything meals. Smallest ensuite I've ever seen, like going into the wardrobe.
- Robert (10/5): Will be going back had a lovely comfortable few days - The location warm friendly staff lovely food comfortable room
- Garry (8/5): -
- Taylor (7/5): Relaxed short stay. - Very relaxed & friendly. Warm enough, & ideal location. Little things. Bathroom; cold tap excessive & semi flooded the floor, & whoever placed the bathroom cabinet over the washhand basin, needs a reality check. I would imagine that the easy parking may be different in the busy summer period.
- Johnson (1/5): Would not recommend - The location We booked and paid for a larger room, but got a tiny room with double bed. When I complained I was told "tough. There is no other room" Get your money back from Booking.com and go book somewhere else" this is at 6pm on a Saturday night.
Food was also horrible. I sent my supper back and was not given the choice of ordering something else so went to bed without super that night.
- Ben (8/5): Excellent location great breakfast very helpful staff - Breakfast very good Room a little small
- Joan (8/5): - The quality of food was excellent Rooms were on the small side.
- pearl (8/5): Great food and lovely room - Great room and Lovely and warm. Shower door came off so health and safety issue, very dangerous. I did inform the receptionist. Bathroom freezing , radiator does not work.
- Howard (10/5): - The hotel is warm and the harbour views are excellent
- martin (9/5): i,m going back again - had dinner while i was there and a breakfast both cooked to a very good standard and the price was very good and had a snack at lunch a toasty very filling as a tall person the bathroom was a little small but done nicely and i had a lovely shower
