Guest Reviews
- Victoria (10/5): - Booked this stay for my in-laws, they really liked the place and enjoyed their stay, we have booked it before last year and they will definitely be repeat booking in the future
- Amato (9/5): -
- Jane (10/5): A lovely cottage which we will recommend to others. Wish we had time to stay for another night. - Pebble cottage is in a superb location within the beautiful town of Golspie. The accommodation was beautifully clean and perfect for our overnight stay. It is beautifully maintained and so convenient to the coffee shop right next door ! Absolutely nothing
- Henriette (8/5): - Heel compleet ingericht. Goede accommodatie voor 1 nacht, tijdens onze NC-500 rondreis.
- Deborah (10/5): We had a lovely break in this wee home from home. - Great location. Lovely and clean. Clear instructions. A full length mirror would have been appreciated.
- Annie (10/5): Delightful , comfortable, fun cottage - Spacious, beautifully arranged and equipped with everything you could need. Parking was easy. Communication with host was straightforward , clear and prompt . The location is close to the main yet feels private and is very quiet. Highly recommended.
- Christine (10/5): Excellent value for money would definitely recommend. - Beautiful property in a lovely location. Nothing
- Anne (10/5): - Everything was available, notes left for operating all appliances, bedding etc
I would love to visit again Just a little moan, there wasn't any USB plug ins.
- C (10/5): - It was so cental... a fabulous place to sta Was a wee bit difficult to find the parking but in fairness we arrived in the dark in lashing rain. Sat nav took us to the top of the lane.
- Christine (8/5): Great location for a night or two stopover….comfy cottage. - Location was great - Golspie was a good 2 night stopover on the NC500. Handy for stocking up in the Co-op next door, great coffee and breakfast in The Salt House, fish and chips from The Trawler were great and dinner at the Golspie Inn was excellent. Close to the beach. We originally chose Pebble Cottage because it had a washing machine (which we needed on our 16 day trip) and it exceeded our expectations. The back yard wasn’t very nice…a little unkempt.
- Morgan (10/5): -
- Aguas (10/5): Idéalement placé sur la côte nord est de l’Ecosse pour passer un agréable moment au bord de l’eau lors d’un road trip éc - Emplacement, propreté, équipements… RAS
- Chathura (10/5): -
- Ashley (10/5): -
- Veronica (10/5): Cosy cottage in cosy Golspie! - Host is responsive and always ready to assist. The place is clean and well maintained. The sofa is new and sturdy to rest on. Parking is available adjacent to the cottage. Co-op store is within walking distance. Washing machine does not come with dryer functions. Host offered to dry the laundry for us but we chose to dry the clothes indoors instead.
- Giles (10/5): - Fabulous place
- Charlie (10/5): -
- Rita (10/5): Great place to stay for a couple of nights, while walking the JOG trail. - Great accommodation - very well organised & wonderful shower! Very helpful owner. Great location central to the village.
- Lia and Yannis (9/5): -
- Rosalind (9/5): Lovely property in a nice location. Close to beach and shops. Would definitely recommend. - Very close to beach and shops.
- jennie (9/5): Great place to stay when travelling the NC500. - An absolute home from home. Amazing shower, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and spotless throughout. Modern furniture and decor and really tastefully done. Would definitely stay here again 😍. Also there is a co-op just round the corner for supplies It was great to have some outdoor area but it does need a good tidy up. Didn’t match the immaculate interior but would not put me off booking again 😀
- Jane redden (9/5): - Location was fab and everything we needed was there . The only thing was the futons were not particularly comfortable either to sit on or as a bed but all in all a lovely place to stay . Thank you
( your advice for tv reset was perfect !)

- George (7/5): - Location excellent Garden and couches too low
- hana (9/5): -
- Kristopher Nelson (8/5): - Great value for money and location and the two couch beds were comfortable enough for a night. Great value for 4 people Nothing

- kirsty (10/5): - The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. With the local shops, Chinese takeaway, chip shop and bars within walking distance. We chose this cottage as it was close to where my family live. Absolutely beautiful cottage and we cant wait to book in again

- Enrica (9/5): -
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place in an excellent position. Perfect directions amd instructions to get in.
- Kapilmeet (10/5): Comfortable - Beautiful cottage. Easy to follow instructions sent by owners to find and enter. Electric charger for my EV just two minutes walk away which was very convenient. One bedroom with a double beds provided and two uncomfortable sofa beds in living room. Nothing major but small suggestions for improvement. Cutlery was difficult to find as was tucked away in a box in cupboard. Tea, coffee was provided but no milk sachets/ powder milk given.
A metal bathroom railing was not fixed well.
- Victoria (9/5): Superb -
- Priest (8/5): Very good - Sofa beds were uncomfortable(dividing seam)
- Michael (9/5): Great stay in an interesting town - Friendly reception, helpful staff, great breakfast Nothing much, to nit-pick , location on busy road a little noisy
- Theresa (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage was well equipped and suited our purpose for a quick overnight stay. The sofa beds were a little uncomfortable, they might benefit from a mattress topper.
- Andy (9/5): Clean, good location, good value, limited hot water. - the apartment was clean and 2 mins walk to the beach. The shower is very strong, which means the hot water runs out fairly quickly. We did not have enough hot water for 2 people to shower in the morning. When asked how to get the boiler to heat more water, the host said there is a marked button on the boiler controls but nothing was marked.
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - Lots of space for a single person with a good kitchen and lounge. Also it's perfectly located in the centre of Golspie.
- Tahnee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Albert (9/5): Positive - Free parking, all necessary equipment in kitchen. Washing machine was noisy. Bed should be two twins (remove cupboard). Bed sofas not good enough for adults.
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Sue (7/5): We had a nice 2 day stopover in this clean and comfortable apartment. - The location was good and the parking was an added bonus. The apartment itself was nice and had the basics needed for a 2 night stay. It was a great base to explore the castle and the nature reserve and had some lovely low level walks nearby. It lacs the little things such as no shower gel or shampoo but nothing major. We couldn’t get the heating to work which was annoying but I am sure it could have been sorted if I had contacted the hosts but it was our last day so we didn’t want to bother them. Overall the apartment was a great place to stop.
- Helen (7/5): Lovely place for a short stay. - Location excellent, fabulous cafes for breakfast or lunch. Accommodation very clean and tidy. The shower was amazing. Good but very basic equipment in the house. No hairdryer and waterproof mattress protection on bed.
Overall great for a couple of nights but if staying longer and you wanted to cook a few meals then might need bit more equipment.
- Julie (10/5): Highly recommend - Lovely little cottage, well decorated, comfortable and clean. A welcome pack was provided along with the essentials such as washing up liquid, cooking oil, tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Great shower! Nothing, can’t find fault.
- Mari (10/5): Cute stay in Golspie - Good location and plenty of room! Very clean and modern. Not a major thing, but took us a bit to work the locking mechanism. Just different to what we're used to, might be worth to include that in the instructions of the room.
- Rachael (9/5): Lovely cottage in a charming seaside location - This was a great place to stop on our NC500 drive. A stone's throw from shops and beach. Car park out the back. Bedding was provided for us to make up the sofa bed. The cottage was clean and comfortable.
- Denise (8/5): Perfect overnight stay. - Perfect stop for NC500. Cottage nice a clean. Everything there that was needed for an overnight stop. Coop almost next door.
Close to beach which was nice for an evening stroll. Televisions. One in lounge we managed as have fire stick at home. Not sure what we had to do with one in bedroom. Plugged both telly and other thing in but still said no signal. 🤷♀️🤷♀️. Maybe a NORMAL on/off TV would be an idea
Also could have done with a bit more heat in bathroom but didn’t know what to do with heating.
Both these things are probably an age thing!!!
The bed was a normal single bed which it did say in description and a larger one wouldn’t fit.
- Lauren (9/5): Very comfortable and well located cottage 😊 - Very central position in the town of Golspie and its nearby tourist attractions. The cottage itself was perfectly comfortable for the three of us, including the luxurious shower! Very minor, but the facilities to self cater were limited - could have done with a few more utensils, etc. And we had to google instructions on how to use the electric hob.
- Kevin (8/5): Golpsie - Very nice little cottage ideal for base of Golspie and surrounding areas
Very easy to find thanks to owners directions would recommend anyone looking to stay short stay here Not much only slight things were no toiletries in bathroom so had go shop late and second day no hot water for shower and next to coffee shop can be loud In morning but nothing major at all. Would recommend
- George (9/5): Short and sweet - Location and smart TV Couldn’t get heating to work
- Louise (8/5): Very good - Spacious, location, good value for money, comfortable
- Alison (9/5): NC500 Overnighter - Perfect overnight stay for our NC500 trip. Fantastic power shower, perfect after long day walking. Bed was comfy but only a double. I needed to sleep on the sofa bed as I kept suffering from cramp in my leg, probably after walk, and needed more space to ease the pain. Fine for us for one night.
- Shirley (8/5): Lovely little cottage 😃 -
- David (10/5): Lovely cottage, stunning setting and my week was blessed with the weather. - Great location - central, close to beach, leisure, golf course, walks, trails (including mountain bike trails) great views from top of Ben Bhraggie behind the cottage. Good self catering facilities, furnishing, bed & bedding and towels.
- Guglielmo (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Great kitchen lounge area combined. Property is modern, very clean, comfortable with good underfloor heating and excellent shower.
- Wright (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (10/5): Good value - Cozy wee place. Comfy bed. No shampoo or shower gel.
- Krzysztof (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hayley (9/5): Pebble cottage stay - The cottage was lovely. Very close to the beach and the main street. It had everything inside that you needed. It was lovely and warm due to the underfloor heating and the water was always very hot. The main bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family. An all round lovely stay. There was nothing I disliked, but if I was to be picky, the sofas were very uncomfortable. They are sofa beds which have been sat on a lot so were very flat and just not comfortable at all.
- Stephen (9/5): Enjoyable few days. - Clear instructions on getting to, parking, and into the property arrived a few days before our trip. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped for our short stay. It was cold when we arrived and the heating didn't seem to be keeping up with the demand at first, but it was OK by the following morning. The boiler wasn't the silent type - but fine once we realised where the noise was coming from.
Surprised that neither TV (lounge nor bedroom) had on-air access - everything was over broadband and apps, so could have been easier to switch on for things like the news and weather forecast. But we had our phones and tablets that sufficed (and we weren't there to watch TV)!
- Serena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lorraine (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely, ,spacious modern cottage with everything you needed. Excellent shower with plenty of hot water, a comfy bed, and all the cooking facilities needed. An added bonus was a washing machine and drying area.
The owners were helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.
Close to local amenities, shops, restaurants, take aways and the beach. The cottage had its own private parking and was close to the main route for tourist attractions.
Everyone in Golspie very friendly and helpful, both beaches were amazing for different reasons, plenty of walks in the area. Couldn't find any faults even the seagulls waited until a decent hour before they
started to call.
