- Christoph (10/5): -
- Felipe (10/5): Amazing, beautiful, charming - Incredible place in the middle of the cosiest town. No laundry
- Berg (10/5): - Prachtige tuin. Gastvrij. Goede service Niets
- Carolyn (5/5): Quite expensive for a rustic, 1870's cottage accommodation and a car is essential. - The host greeted us, was extremely nice, explained where everything was (in the kitchen, for example). There is a lovely little garden (very overgrown!) with the opportunity to sit outside. Although on the small side, the bed was extremely comfortable and (if you like that sort of things) the paintings on the walls were very interesting. The host left us a bottle of wine and some crackers and brought fresh towels half way through out stay - which was appreciated. She also gave us useful advice on the best way into Amsterdam (by bus). A little too "rustic". I know it's a 1870's cottage but it could be a little more modernised. Some of the electric sockets didn't work, the lighting, overall, was quite poor and the shower was awful - a rain shower WAY to high in the ceiling (about 3 metres high) so it was hard work positioning the water without getting completely soaked. Plus there was no shower curtain, so the floor got soaked with just a rubber squeegy (which kept breaking) to mop up. The cutlery also felt like it was from 1870! Not so pleasant - and some coffee/tea mugs would have been appreciated. It was unfortunate that it rained all week as this made the cottage smell very "musty" and damp and also meant that we couldn't use the outside facilities - not the host's fault, but as the radiator's didn't work until the 4th day (not sure why they took so long to heat up) it felt damp, almost until we left.
- Nicholas (9/5): Expensive but perfect for what I needed. - Location was ideal as I was attending a course 200m away Very limited ability to cook anything - could not even heat up a pizza as there was no oven
- Oleksandr (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catarina (10/5): Exceptional - This place really has all you need and as an extra bonus a little private side yard that’s adorable. We only stayed one night but would recommend this cute guesthouse if you’d like to explore amsterdam and its surrounding as a small family or just to get out on the countryside for a weekend. The host was so generous and considerate and even brought us breakfast in the morning as he realized we didn’t bring any food since we had arrived too late the night before. We could not have felt more welcome.
- Roberta (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely Everything. Fabulous accomodtion, great area to bike, explore, wine and dine. But most of all our hostess and host Marianne and GJ. (The owners of the beautiful guesthouse.) They made us feel at home and went Above and Beyond to make sure we had a wonderful vacation! WE DREAM OF RETURNING
- Joanna (10/5): I highly recommend this apartment and hosts not only for families! - It’s a wonderful historic house in the village of Grootschermer with all amenities. Location is perfect for car and especially bike trips throughout Northen Holland. It’s secluded and peaceful but within 5-minute drive to De Rijp where there is a super market and good bus connection to Amsterdam Central (2x per hour). There are a number of good restaurants ( in Grootschermer, Noordeinde and De Rijp) and lots of sightseeing attractions.
Marianne ang Gijs are the best hosts! Wonderful warm people that make you feel at home.
- David (10/5): Pleasant accommodation in friendly village - It was in a quiet street and had very good facilities. It was close to a very good restaurant who were accommodating to our late request for a meal. The apartment had comfortable furniture and the host gave us some provisions and drinks. The chalk board had a welcome message wishing my daughter good luck with her Ironman event Nothing
