Guest Reviews
- William (10/5): Great place - Fenced in garden perfect for the dog and great kitchen Nothing

- phil (9/5): - Lovely location, traditional cottage with space to sit outside. It has traditional features including low front and back doors which take a bit of getting used to if you are tall.
- Colm (10/5): Beautiful property in beautiful village - Everything was perfect. We enjoyed our stay. Facilities were very good, really nicely designed kitchen and bathroom. 10/10 will stay again.
- Tony (10/5): …..and relax, a delightful getaway. - A beautiful country cottage in the charming village of Charlton, full of character and tastefully decorated with lots of period features. A perfect base for our two day visit to Bicester, there’s a lovely pub (Rose & Crown) a few minutes walk away with a garden and delicious food, and there’s a well stocked Coop in nearby Kings Sutton. Our dogs settled in nicely and there was a nice park immediately behind the cottage to exercise them, also perfect for families with small children. Our hosts sent check-in details in plenty of time and even shared a local guide of places to visit. The WiFi was good, smart TV too, the bedrooms were very comfortable and the shower was powerful and refreshing, the kitchen had everything we needed. Overall an outstanding stay, would definitely recommend. That we only stayed two nights, would have gladly stayed longer.
- Zoe (9/5): - Such a cosy cottage set in a beautiful village. Comfortable for a family of 3 and great we could bring our puppy too. My daughter loved the proximity to the park. Beautiful furnishings and very comfortable home from home. The only thing missing for us was a microwave as we fully self catered and hadn't factored this in (we were able to improvise with the hob).

- Emily (10/5): A perfect base for Silverstone - We stayed for a long weekend as a perfect family base for an event at Silverstone, which is 15-25 min away depending on traffic.
After long days on our feet, we were grateful for the really comfortable beds with quality mattresses and bed linen. Our two primary-school-aged children loved the bunk beds with their own personal reading lights. The area is also very quiet - perfect for a good night's rest.
The bathroom is beautifully finished and the shower is powerful and spacious. The toiletries provided were a nice touch and added to the hotel feel. We also found everything we needed in the kitchen, and enjoyed the small garden space.
The property well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need. There is a selection of games in the chest in the living room, and a laminated selection of local walks in the bureau. We were out most of the day and didn't get to make use of them, but could see others had found them useful from the guest book.
We have a larger car and always managed to park directly outside or close to the front of the property. The owner provided clear information prior to check-in and was warm and helpful during our stay.
We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again. A real gem. Nothing negative to say about the property. Others may find it useful to know there is no microwave, but the induction hob is quick and efficient (as parents who often have to microwave forgotten coffees!)
The bathroom is downstairs, which may not suit someone who frequently needs to get up in the night - but equally means sleep isn't disturbed by others using the bathroom.
One of our party had mobility issues but managed the steep stairs and uneven floors upstairs without issue - as expected in a property of this character and charm.
- Heike Niemeijer (10/5): - Super schattig dorpje. De Cottage is mooi ingericht. Super comfortabel bedden ( Emma)
Leuke uitvalsbasis voor bijvoorbeeld London
Milton Keynes Stretford upon avon The Cotswolds Silverstone. Niets
- Shayne (9/5): Perfectly located for us to visit family in neighbouring villages. Initially we were concerned about the stairs as we ha - Beautifully clean, great location and a quaint, well equipped home from home.
Beautiful artwork and we loved the decor. A cozy and welcoming space.
Owners were exceptionally responsive, friendly and welcoming. Nothing
- Gillsermon (9/5): Great little cottage with plenty of walks nearby - This lovely little house was great for our needs. It is very central and ideal for the local pub. We needed a place with outdoor space for our dog and although this was small, it was easy to go out the back and walk around the village, or along pathways and into fields. There were many walk options printed off for us and we chose one of them for our main day and it was really nice. The shower was very spacious and very good. The kitchen although small had everything necessary for cooking late-night snacks and making our own breakfasts. The owner couldn't have been more welcoming. Great also to have parking on our doorstep. Although there is not a shop in the village, there is a small Coop in the next village and on the day we went they had plenty of bargains! I would have liked a more comfy sofa and I found the stairs quite steep and uneven, however none of this was a problem - probably just me getting old!
- Alan (10/5): An absolute gem! - A warm welcome. Fell in love with the cottage instantly. A very comfortable stay. Had everything we needed. Super comfy beds. Great shower. Lovely pub down the road. Everyone friendly. There was nothing we didn't like.
