Guest Reviews
- Ирина (1/5): Terrible. Never come here if you don’t want to ruin your vacation! - The room is white and fairly clean, but NEVER go to this place! NEVER go to this place!
They locked me inside the property and refused to let me leave until I paid $20 (which is a lot for Sri Lanka) for a broken lamp. The lamp was ceramic, with a short cord, and was placed unstably on the bedside table. Why such a fragile item was part of the decor, I have no idea. But the fact that I was forcibly detained is absolutely unacceptable.
If this incident isn’t enough to convince you, here are a few more reasons why this place looks decent at first glance but is actually terrible:
1. No hot water on arrival. I had to wait for them to fix it.
2. Wi-Fi was practically non-existent. The signal was so weak it was unusable.
3. Constant noise from the nearby road. We had to sleep with earplugs.
4. Red ants in the house. They bite painfully! When I asked the staff to deal with them, they simply swept them up with a smile, and that was it.
5. Staff doesn't speak English. They just smile and say "yes" to everything, but nothing gets resolved.
6. Mosquito problem. With a river and the ocean nearby, mosquitoes were everywhere. I asked for something to repel them. Other rooms had plug-in repellents, but they gave me an outdoor coil that stank horribly when burned. I ended up buying my own repellent at a nearby store.
In conclusion, if you don’t want to spend your vacation fixing endless problems with your accommodation and end up being held hostage, I strongly advise you to stay far away from this place.
