• Catherine (8/5): Lovely large house in the center of town close to a large train station and shopping mall. - Lovely, large house in a busy neighborhood surrounded by restaurants and convenience stores. A large mall is just one block away and the main station is two blocks away. The rooms were large and the beds very comfortable. The owner was super lovely and very attentive to anything we needed. The house has Playstation, karaoke and the owner gave us lots of presents. The house was on a main road, in a modern area. From the pictures I assumed that it was in a quiet, traditional neighborhood.
• suz (10/5): 最高 - 京都駅からの近さや近くに飲食店やコンビニもあり、ロケーション最高でした。お宿の設備も新しく清潔で、アメニティや設備も何から内まで準備されており感動しました。アイロンや洗濯機まであり、中長期滞在には最適だと思います。また、PSやカラオケもあり子供も楽しく滞在できました。朝食のお弁当も京都ならではのおばんざい風で美味しかったです。 とくにありません！

• Delphine (10/5): Séjour au Machiya Kaemon - Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel au Machiya Kaemon! Tout d'abord, la maison est belle et très bien équipée. Tout a été réfléchi pour que notre séjour soit le plus agréable possible. Les futons sont très confortables (une révélation pour nous!) Très bien située (à 2 pas de la gare de Kyoto). Le quartier est animé, il est facile d'y trouver un restaurant pour manger. Nous avons vraiment été très touchés par la gentillesse de notre hôte. Nous avons été couverts d'attentions et avons eu l'impression d'être accueillis par une amie. Merci beaucoup, vous avez rendu notre anniversaire de mariage exceptionnel!
• Norman (10/5): A home away from home! - What a wonderful find for travelers! This was a great location in a Kyoto townhouse. It gave us an authentic feel away from the usual hotels. Very clean, amazingly attentive host and all the space you'll need for relaxing after a busy day in Kyoto. We would highly recommend.

• Claire (10/5): Exceptional - - beautiful and clean accommodation - we especially loved the bathroom, upstairs area, and little garden so much!! - comfortable bedding - friendly and helpful okami-san - wonderful welcome gifts - proximity to bars, dumpling restaurant facing the machiya, and main road meant that it was a quite noisy at night
• Warunee (10/5): A little on the pricier side, but the facilities and service are worth the price! - Very near to Kyoto station, restaurants and shopping centres. Facilities are superb! Kaemon was really lovely and welcomed us with some goodies too. She also responded to inquiries/ messages quickly. Other things that I liked about this place: -Check-in process was very easy. -We slept in traditional Japanese pajamas and they were very comfortable. -there’s a washing machine that you can use so if you’re a light packer, that will come in handy -there’s a robovac that can clean the floor for you :) There’s nothing to not like about this property.

• Meagan (10/5): Must stay in Kyōto - Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived, the Okami (house lady) was so nice and told us how to use all of the facilities. She even gave us welcome gifts and celebration gifts for our wedding since we had our ceremony during our stay in Kyoto. The house is across from a family mart, which is very convenient and a short walk to the train station. Lots of food around and close to Kyoto tower. The bath was also a great way to relax after a long day of activities. We have nothing bad to say. There is nothing bad to say. Everything was exceptional.

Great amenities like bathtub, TV, karaoke and games. The host was very good and will help in anyway with local bookings etc Can be noisy but didn’t bother us with the road and a restaurant next door
