Guest Reviews
- Wendy (10/5): A beautifully positioned apartment with a view - This property had one of the best positioned in Nairn, a view to wake up to every morning and cosy and comfortable. The shower and bath were also outstanding. Nothing
- Thomas (10/5): Lovely place in a lovely location. - Location
- ralph (10/5): Excellent stay . Nothing any trouble when we asked for a wee bit help. - Brilliant location, all you needed was there in the accommodation. Nothing it was amazing
- camilla (10/5): -
- Niki (10/5): Great short break will definitely come back. - Quirky
Spotlessly clean
Great location and view Nothing
- Caroline (8/5): - The views, the unique features, the location. Pet friendly Beds, were not very comfy. Duvets and pillows had seen better days.
- Jane (10/5): - Amazing location, wonderful view, comfy bed - just perfect!
- Alison (9/5): Would highly recommend The Lighthouse for a fantastic weekend break. - The view is absolutely stunning, beautiful apartment and perfect location, we didn't close the blinds at all, didn't want to miss out on that view. The apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need. There's plenty of cafes and restaurants in the town centre, some lovely shops for browsing and buying unusual gifts. The hosts are very helpful with plenty communication, even offering to pick us up from the bus station which is above and beyond exceeding any normal assistance. Will definitely be the only place we'll stay next time in Nairn. Nothing to dislike!
- David (9/5): -
- Ben (10/5): - This is a unique and memorable property in Nairn. The views extend around 270 degrees; you'd struggle to find a better, more expansive sea view anywhere else in the country. Very comfortable bed and seating with a well-stocked kitchen. Nicely located near the seafront, with a brilliant cafe downstairs. My only regret is that we were only in Nairn for a couple of days and, as such, were out and about most days making the most of the sightseeing. We therefore didn't get to spend lots of time relaxing in the property, which is a shame as it is so nice. I'd love to return and spend a few days mostly spent 'at home' enjoying the scenery and indulging in pure relaxation. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Nairn- hope to visit again!
- KellY2926 (8/5): Nice stay with lovely harbour views - Great view out and something a little different. Good area to explore Nairn and the coast. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Note should be on the accommodation description regarding the dog fees, as it would be nice to know before you book a non refundable break.
- Katy (10/5): Great location. Lovely views. Warm and well equipped. Perfect for our stay. Thank you! -
- Stuart (8/5): -

- Michelle (10/5): -
- Alasdair (10/5): - Great location. Something different than what I've booked before. Lovely views from the room and the hosts couldn't have been more helpful. Easily helped me amend my booking after I stupidly booked the wrong dates. Nothing. Loved it.
- Decca (8/5): Great view and easy walk into town. - Stunning view, great location and characterful. A bit of a dog smell

- Caroline (10/5): We stayed for 3 nights! The property was amazing and Nairn was everything I expected it to be! Stunning! Sunrise from yo - The property was quirky with fantastic views Nothing! It was perfect!
- Veronique (10/5): location exceptionnelle - nous avons aimé l'emplacement, le calme et la superbe décoration
tout était parfait
- Strachan (9/5): - Panoramic view.. & the comfortable bed, & swing chairs . The steps & the extra work, opening & shutting blinds.. electric ones would be better
- Andrew (5/5): Some safety issues - Views Safety issues: radiator in bathroom is on full heating constantly and poses a danger to children. No option to turn down or off. Similarly, oven door when oven in use becomes dangerously hot. Danger to children again. PAT testing out of date by between a few days and 3 years (coffee machine).
Hosts only provided 2 coffee pods for a 2 night stay. 4 should be provided.
Expensive for a studio flat. To be clear, there is no separate bedroom. Property downstairs has 2 bedrooms and is rented out at same rate.
Kitchen area and bathroom in need of updating.
- James (9/5): - The room was quirky and beautifully furnished with nice touches like binoculars for dolphin watching. Would be nice if they had wine glasses.

- Isabelle (10/5): The Lighthouse is perfect for a stay in Nairn and a great location to visit Inverness, Loch Ness and beyond. - Breathtaking almost 360 view
Private parking
Near shops and restaurants N/A
- Claire (10/5): Paradise in Nairn - All the positive comments that others have left are spot on. We didn't want to leave. Nairn and The Lighthouse are paradise. We watched dolphins in the sea from the balcony. What a great weekend.
- Robert (9/5): Fun, different, memorable - This does feel like a lighthouse, the views are amazing! It is a unique location by the sailing club overlooking the harbor and and a really different, fun, memorable place to stay for a day or two. It is only a modest-sized studio, and the goldfsh-bowl feel of the 180-degree panorama windows might get tedious on a long stay.
- Christian (9/5): Superb - Amazing view, 1 room nicely decorated with care and everything what you need for a great stay by the sea
- Hindes (8/5): Very good -
- Euan (10/5): Bliss - The ever changing view just the best way to relax late at night or first thing in the morning and close to everything will be back. Having to leave and go back to work
- Iain (10/5): Lovely property. Easy access. Wonderful views. -
- Sheila (10/5): Exceptional - Location and great views The electric shower
- Gunar (10/5): Magnificent view over the harbour and the beaches. - Everything perfect.
- James (9/5): Enjoyable with fantastic weather. - The apartment was in an ideal location with views over the marina and coast.
Property well maintained and everything you needed at hand.
Convenient parking. Both my wife and I are elderly and with the apartment being on the third floor found it very difficult carrying our luggage up and down the stair. However we were aware before we booked that it was on the third floor.
- Bruce (9/5): Superb - The view and the location No dishwasher
- Gareth (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning views and close to all amenities, comfortable accommodation and of a high standard, can't fault.
- Calum (9/5): Restful stay in unusually designed beautiful studio room - Beautiful studio flat Stunning views of harbour, didn’t need a tv, just looked out the window
- Colin (10/5): Amazing relaxing stay with superb views and facilities - Very quiet and relaxing with amazing views of the sea and harbour! Nothing
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Graeme (10/5): Excellent, owners very responsive - View All was good
- Peter (9/5): Memorable room/location. Would stay again. - Super location. Striking panoramic view. Very comfortable room - the pull-down ‘bed in wall’ was surprisingly comfortable. Kitchen had everything one would need. Would definitely stay again. Nothing to fault with the property. The rear of the building in which the property sits, and via which the property is accessed, is a bit scruffy but the view from the room makes up for it.
- Amanda (10/5): Great spot, excessive doggy cleaning fees at £20 per puppy. - We loved the location and the views. The surprisingly expensive cleaning fee per dog for the single night at £40 total. All other 16 venues we have enjoyed across Scotland for the past 16 days charge a maximum of £10 per stay.
The fee for cleaning needs to be clearly stated that it is £20 per dog at the booking stage, not revealed post booking and paying for the property, please.
- Kerri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lara (10/5): Exceptional - The location, property was beautiful really unique. Freezing bathroom
- Stuart (10/5): Lovely, peaceful few days away in really nice accommodation. - Self catering apartment with everything you could need - fridge, microwave, oven & hob, tv etc. Great view over the harbour and along the coast. Can't think of anything.
- Jason (10/5): Everything you could ask for - The location was fantastic, room had everything we needed and the hosts had great communication both before and during the stay. Plenty of seating and space in the property, and it's only two flights of stairs up in a roomy stairwell for lovely views over the harbour. We watched the sunrise every morning during our stay from the balcony. Had everything we needed - nothing.
- L (9/5): Very pleasant stay and we plan to come back - Location Too many stairs
- David (10/5): It was a fabulous stay, perfect property, location and hosts. - Great location. Easy walk to town, restaurants, etc. and beaches. Fab property with stunning views and lovely hosts. The sunset views are amazing. Nothing
- Oo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (10/5): Relaxing refreshing radiant. Felt chilled. - Loved it all. Sheets and duvet could perhaps be left out of beds as they needed a bit of airing .
That is all I could find fault with and wouldn’t even call it a fault
- David (10/5): Stunning property. - So much character about the premises, excellent location with stunning views over the harbour. Very comfortable and everything you need for an overnight stay or longer vacation.
- Helen (9/5): Stunning situation - location excellent
stunning view/we were lucky with weather bed a little uncomfortable / saggy mattress
- Iain (9/5): Absolutely excellent! - Beautiful, stunning and would love to re visit! Why pay for a hotel when places like this exist! Accommodation very comfortable and owners exceptionally helpful. Very, very, very hard to think of improvements but the
- Bathroom Towels were either too new or washed in too much conditioner as they had no absorption.
- Duvets lovely but way too thick/hot- would be nicer thinner and with extra blankets to allow for summer/winter.
- Gillian (10/5): Exceptional - The view we just loved it 😍 Nothing !
- Lindsey (10/5): A unique apartment with wonderful views - A very unique place to stay with panoramic views over the bay. The hosts were very good at communicating, key pickup was easy from a lock box so there was no need to arrive at a definite time. All the kitchen and bathroom facilities were excellent - cooker, microwave, washing machine, plenty of plates/cutlery/towels etc. The Fishertown neighbourhood is a lovely place to wander round with its narrow streets and old houses, and the main High Street is only 5 minutes walk away. Would definitely stay here again. Nothing, but I suppose getting up 3 flights of stairs would be a problem for people with mobility issues.
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lacey (10/5): Special! - Absolutely Everything!
I honestly couldn’t leave anything but 10/10 for a review. I am beyond happy here. Everything is perfect. I absolutely love it here and I am going to look again to book for next year and stay longer. I don’t want to leave. I feel so happy and content. We have done a lot of travelling over the past few weeks and this is by far my favourite place. My son absolutely loves it as well and although I don’t care about tv or WiFi, it is something that really helps my son to enjoy during down time and it’s the only place we’ve stayed where the tv has worked for Netflix and great WiFi! For me, the apartment is so clean and comfortable and cozy. It has everything you could think of, and the views are spectacular. I feel so at home and at peace here. Thank you so much :) Nothing!
- Belen (9/5): Great location, great views and very comfortable - The deco was fun and the attention to detail was impressive
Very easy to access, great views and location I don’t have anything to say here
