Guest Reviews
- Josephine (10/5): - Room was clean and staff was very friendly.
- Eric (8/5): - It was decent for the price
- Aracely (8/5): Affordable - Overall, the hotel was nice, service was nice, we had a good breakfast. The room was good for the price, the floor was a little sticky but it was ok. We rested and we didn't have any trouble. I will come back if i need it.
- therese (6/5): - Clean linens, the floor was still kind of dirty but not to the naked eye, the shower had some mildew in it but didn’t need to use it. The knob on the sink kinda came off but still useable. For a $60/night not awful for just a bed to sleep in for the night. You get what you pay for. The staff was very nice at check in and check out
- Melissa (6/5): - Washer Dryer kept braking down, vending takes money, questionable staying there
- Rachel (8/5): Trip - The stay was great but when I did it online I asked for a room on the bottom and ended up having a room on second floor and I barely could walk up the stairs due to bad knees and hip. No elevator
- Linda (4/5): friendly but...... - The people running the office was amazing. Friendly and everything in order. The room was extremely dirty and I laughed when I saw the vanity in the bathroom was being held up with a 2 x 4" piece of wood.
- Shane (10/5): - Room was good and perfect location for my visit
- Dominick (8/5): - Possibly more update working vending machines or sale more merchandise inside lobby area
- Brian (10/5): Nice place - The room was given to me as ready but the cleaning staff was still cleaning. The door was hard to shut, but that was the only cons of this place.
Check in and check out was very quick
- Jessica-Lynn (10/5): Simple getaway - Simple hole in the wall, good place to stay! You wouldn't even know it's tucked away by the river. Simple getaway with old school smoking rooms. They even have BBQ grills & tables, right on the river.
- Angela (6/5): - My non smoking room mattress reeked of cigarettes. The manager swapped them out for us with another rooms so I am sure those people were gonna be happy, lol. The bathroom door didn’t shut properly and the outside door seal wasn’t there at the bottom and a nice sized bug was able to crawl in. You can tell they cleaned well though. For the price it was good.
- Shawn (10/5): - Convenient to CCU. Well priced. Clean and comfortable.
- Michelle (2/5): - Found bed bugs in my room 114
Packed my stuff up and left
- Jimi (10/5): - This property is very clean and well-maintained, and it also feels safe. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Conway or the nearby areas.
- Steve (10/5): - Nice motel. Room was clean and comfortable. Check-in was quick and easy
- Scott (2/5): - Smells terrible and needs major
- Sairom (4/5): Bad - There was a dead cockroach in the room, and overall the cleanliness was disappointing. The bathroom toilet paper was not fresh, and there were no tissues provided.
- Joshua (10/5): - Property manager is a great guy.
- Melissa (8/5): - The carbon monoxide detector went off the times in the middle of the night which wasn’t fun
- Sherry (8/5): - Qiet
- Arlene (2/5): - The room was very dirty, sheets and comforters were not very clean looking, shower was drickling all night, toilets barely flushed, there was a frog in our room when we opened the door, and a puddle under the air conditioner. Desperately needed updates and upgraded toilets, pillows, and strangely breakfast/coffee not open till 7:30am instead of 6 am like most places-when they said 7 to us at check-in. And very few options to eat.
They need to hire a really good cleaning staff and put a better breakfast on. The place is cute outside and could really be a nice hotel.
- Michael (4/5): - This property
- Shequeta (2/5): - Was not clean.. roach in the bathroom
- Kirsten (2/5): - Would not recommend. The electronic door wouldn't lock, There were roaches gnats and other bugs in the room along with mold and mildew in bathroom, leaking fridge, and dirty blankets Pictures are deceiving.. The place is filthy.
- Antoinette (8/5): - Rooms were outdated but clean. Beds made and towels changed everyday. But the door to room barely locked so security is an issue. Odd ppl hanging out in the river bank ramp so again security concern. For the price I guess that is expected. But cleaning service was excellent.
- Christabel (2/5): - If I could give the property a zero I would I stayed with my daughter and I didn’t sleep just because it didn’t feel safe at 12:30 am the front desk and fire department came knocking on the door because the alarm kept going off they came in the room I felt so uncomfortable the lock on the door was busted the sink wasn’t draining properly the shower floor looks nasty.
- Kirsten (2/5): - Would not recommend.. roaches, bugs, mold and mildew in bathroom, electronic door wouldn't lock, funky odor, overall dirty
Pictures were deceiving, spend the money and stay elsewhere
- Michelle (8/5): - Was good for a short stay. Room was clean, management nice, but it is loud at night and early in the morning. Door goes straight outside and can be loud. Room was nice and clean, but hotel as a whole was run down. Shower is slippery, coffee maker in room didn’t work, vending options minimal, and room smelled musty. But hard to control in humid Conway South Carolina. Very convenient location to Coastal Carolina if you are there to be with your student.
- Jordan (8/5): 4 stars - It was a good stay front desk was nice and helpful
- John (10/5): - Very good experience.
- Shahida (2/5): - Terrible roach infested hotel! Stay away!
- Adnan anwer (8/5): - It was not so bad. Good for 1 or 2 night stay. Comfortable bed. Room was not so precious but manageable. Room service clean our room without even asking
- Lisa (1/5): Bad - Nothing. The room was not cleaned. The sheets were dirty. The bathroom had dirty towels. Everything. Would not recommend anyone staying here. We requested a refund and went somewhere else.
- Lafe (8/5): - This was I nice place for a short overnight stay. It was clean and smelled fresh. The A/C did its best, but I would have liked it a bit cooler in the room.
- Kimberly (6/5): - The host himself was great and accommodating . It is a much older hotel and looks like he is trying to update it. I do feel it is more for a quick one night stay for and for workers that work from out of town.
- Jody (2/5): I do not recommend, Rooms smelled horrible, - The room smelled horrible and there was spiders in our room along with the air conditioner leaked all over . Rust in the bathrooms
- Theophilus (7/5): Good -
- Malika (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (6/5): - The staff was nice. The room next to ours housed the owner's relatives and they sat in front of our door talking and moving around quite a bit. The room was not as clean as I like.
- Elena (6/5): - The location of the property was very convenient but our room had a lot of bugs. I don’t know what bugs they were but they looked like fruit flies but flew and jumped all over the place which was very bothersome especially at night.
- Alicia (6/5): I like me stay comfortable would go back book again - I like the hotel was right off the highway and it was clean and quiet place management nice I wish there was a sink in the bathroom
- Leonardo (8/5): - I liked it. Everything was clean, good bathroom, good basic amenities, no bugs, multi-locks, no complaints. The only bad thing I can say was the faint smell of cigarettes but you get what you pay for and I think the value for the money is not bad
- Verified traveler (8/5): Average - Overall it was nice, the beds are not comfortable and the tub had mildew/mold under the rim
- Lynn (6/5): - Not the best accommodations- barely acceptable
- Drew (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Horrible smell! As soon as you walk in it smelled like someone had been smoking! We had a baby with us and she should not have to smell cigarette smoke all night long! The bathroom was disgusting and poorly maintained! I definitely don’t recommend if you’re looking for a clean friendly nice hotel!
- Rexford (2/5): - This Property was not what I saw on website and very misleading. I checked out the very next day due to bugs, odor and just didn’t feel safe there. I believe this Place houses Homeless people or those struggling with hard times, etc. I spoke to Manager and He was very supportive of my decision to leave.
- Bradbury (5/5): Travelers needed sleep. - Frigidaire and microwave were very nice to have. Clean comfortable for a well needed rest. Both outlets near the mirror don't work. The toilet seat is broken.
Other guests were vacuuming or doing something after 1am.
Atmosphere was unpleasant, didn't feel safe.
- Abrelya (1/5): Bad - Nothing I told the manager on duty my door was open when I arrived and smelly and I wanted a discount he told me I can leave and he would refund me my money that’s poor customer service
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Séjour d’une nuit.
Très petit lit.
Voisin de chambre bruyant
- Meghan (7/5): Good - Close to Coastal Carolina Breakfast options were very limited, floors dirty
- Robert (6/5): Over priced, shabby accommodation. - The ac was good. No hair shampoo, shabby bathroom. Poor breakfast.
Over priced for the type of accommodation.
- Macie (10/5): - Quiet place to relax. Close enough to shopping without being right in the middle of it.
- Joby (4/5): Do not recommend - The whole room filled with marinjuana smoke could not sleep got head ache
Tub wasn’t draining water, stopper didn’t work finally had to use soap as stopper to drain water
Exhaust & light switch same making loud noise Smoke smell
- Rex (4/5): - Some towels were dirty when we got to our room.
Front desk was ignoring calls and when I went to the reception, he was on his cell phone.
Sink drains forever.
On check out, office was locked even if it says “open” and was after 7am.
I knocked several times and a guy shows up, not even opening the door. Talking to him thru the glass, he said ‘it’s ‘not ready.’
NOT recommended!!
- Anonymous (5/5): Bait and switch - Nothing I order a room for my sister and her husband. They were traveling. Which they said the can switch rooms. Since it was reserved from a third party. They switch from a none smoking room. To a smoking room. It was like a bait and switch. Never reserve a place again there.
- Charlene (4/5): - Convenient location for our 1 night stay. Grounds are nice.
Room smells like marijuana and sink doesn't drain.
Not sure if we'd come back.
- DAVID (10/5): - Nice location outside of Conway. Close to route 544 to south strand
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- dale (10/5): - Nice staff. Seems clean. Area run down and no elevator
- Apryl (6/5): - It’s extremely basic. The receptionist Greg was very friendly. That was helpful. As a smoker, I always wondered what a smoking room was like. Now I know why they don’t allow it. The place was an example of doing the best you can of what’s left. I see the effort. But never again.
- Tamika (1/5): Bad -
- April (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tiffany (8/5): - The staff is amazing. They were training new staff during our stay and they were on top of everything
- Jennifer (8/5): - Nice and quiet
- Stephanie (7/5): Was ok but need to work on Wi-Fi and smoke smell. - Location relative to the work I was conducting. The Wi-Fi did not really work. Would only work for a few minutes and then cut out. Reconnected to it multiple times and finally gave up on it and used my phone hot spot. The room had been smoked in recently as well.
- Deborah (2/5): - The beds ere clean but refrigerator had residue in it. Didn’t feel safe. Cops shoes up for a situation down hall. Found bug in bathroom
- Walter (10/5): - The room was fine for such a short stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good stay.
- Teresa (1/5): Bad -
- Mccarter (6/5): Pleasant - I felt the rooms were spacious, peaceful, and clean. The staff was nice and easygoing. The room has cobwebs across the wall by the celling. Only one small trash can. No hairdryer (I did go and get one from the front desk). Breakfast was okay. We ended up elsewhere. When I checked in, the front desk didn't give me my ID back, which worked out fine, but no one ever let me know it was still at the front desk. I didn't realize it until I was checking into my next place. I had to come back for it. That would have been awful if I had been at the airport.
- Katricia (5/5): It served its purpose but I wouldn’t stay there again. - It was close to the venue that I had to go to. Needs to be renovated. You can tell it’s old.
- James (4/5): Disappointing - The location is about the only thing they have going for them. The room was dirty and had the smell of cigarettes even though we requested non smoking rooms. Booking.com gave me a price that was reasonable and they charged us more than the booking.com price and couldn't give a clear answer as to why. I called booking.com and the young lady did help by calling the property to get it resolved. The overnight clerk called and stated he has was refunding the difference but I haven't seen the notice on my card yet. I will definitely call the property and booking.com if it is not resolved within a week.
- Iracel (7/5): Decent and affordable - Outdoor picnic area was so cute, was pretty decently clean There was trash in the mini fridge that did not belong to us
- Michelle (2/5): Bed bugs - The place has bed bugs
- Doreen (8/5): - Place was cleaned daily in and out and was quiet mostly. Electric plugs in the room were the biggest issue the bottom plugs were in use with lights etc but when you used the top plug the wire you plugged in always fell out.
- Jocelyn (8/5): I was happy with the value of the inn for an overnight trip. - Its location. Your basics. Breakfast was perfect. Receptionist was amazing helpful and efficient.
- Anonymous (5/5): The area was good, space was sufficient, it just needs more polishing and to make sure everything is - The front desk was very patient and courteous with handling our group. We had to change our room to the first floor to accommodate a senior mother. The attendant did not lose her patience and got us to our rooms in good time. My room had a stench to but, but we were in a rush to get changed and to our service that we did not have time to have someone to clean it. The following day after it was cleaned it still had like a mildew smell. The bathroom needs new tile on the floor, the tub floor could use replacement, my microwave was missing, and phones did not work
- Geraldine (10/5): - Everything was great except no elevator and i was on the 2nd floor. I recommended this hotel to my friends from Kentucky, Georgia and Florida for their weekend stay also (about 7 rooms.
- Marc (10/5): - Away from the main road, right on the river, quiet and clean location, immaculate rooms. Greg at the desk is a gem!
- Katie (8/5): Very good - Worth the price, large beds, decent rooms. Coffee pot broken
- Hieu (10/5): - Nice and quiet by the river.
- Charlene (8/5): - Clean and quiet.
- Donna (5/5): Would avoid in the future. - Marginal, at best. Our room was stripped of its microwave, coffee maker and ice bucket and was dark as a cave. Had to get another lamp, never got a microwave. Took several asks to get the items we finally got. Your questionnaire I'm filling out now would not take my responses (the smiley to frowning rating section).
- Vishnu (6/5): - Good
- Glenn (10/5): - The room was clean, lots of room it was quiet and very reasonable
- Heather (6/5): - When we checked in we were assigned to a room that people were already staying in. After fighting to get the door to open even though the key reader was green to our surprise the occupants opened the door. The current occupants were very nice but it could have gone terribly bad.
After being reassigned to a new room it was very apparent that the microwave was so old it was rusted inside with most of the coating missing.
The room was fairly clean but had a musty smell. Of the four pillows one had to be tossed to the side as it didn’t seem to be clean with what looked like smeared makeup. The towels smelled clean but had hair tightly twinned into the fabric.
When doing a bedbug check it showed how dirty the mattress was. It was worse on the sides.
The comfort of the bed was equivalent to sleeping on the floor with a thin yoga mat.
- Joy (8/5): - Computers were down when we got there. Worker was frazzled, but kind. Our room door didn’t lock at all. Had to use the little bar to lock us in. Room 207. Didn’t feel safe, but was clean and nice otherwise. I would add a protein to breakfast. All carbs!
- Joseph (6/5): - Upon arrival the clerk handed us a key said it was his first day good luck finding your room. They never told him anything about how the rooms were located.
Female clerks were much better. Second day went up for coffee at 7 AM to find the doors. Both locked went back about 20 minutes later. There was a mail behind the desk sitting in a chair. I went and poured some coffee took a sip only to find that the coffee was barely warm, not hot. spoke to the clerk and informed him he said OK but never tempted to get up. Look at it or change the coffee urn.
We would not recommend staying at this location in the future.
- Anonymous (5/5): Passable -
- Debora (3/5): Staff were great. We had a non smoking room, it smelled like cigarettes. Towels dirty - Staff were great. Room smelled like cigarettes and we were in a non-smoking room. Towels weren't clean and had black stuff on it.
- Brenda (2/5): - Extremely poor room.
No blanket on 1 bed
No water pressure at sink
Only 1 towel in room at check-in
Room key would not work when we returned to room
Microwave terrible
Woild not give us a refund
- Anonymous (1/5): My stay was about ten minutes. I look at the and canceled. - Location sucks. Smell of the room.
- Shavawn (6/5): - The pillows and mattresses were rock hard and the floors were very dirty and made my feet black with dirt. The rooms smelled bad too. The staff though was very friendly, polite and gave immediate assistance for anything needed
- MARK (10/5): - Great place for a basic overnight stay, price is reasonable and property is close to what I needed.
- Avette (4/5): - There was spiders and bugs everywhere the pool was out of order and it stunk real bad I think I should be able to get some of my money back..
- Chad (8/5): - Reception staff was friendly and handled the issue with our room easily
- Robert (2/5): - The facility smelled of mold and mildew. The room was on poor condition with damaged moulding, visible water damage, and and the door lock that didn't work. We did not feel safe staying there. We immediately left and found a cleaner, safer hotel.
- Kindness (1/5): Bad -
- Jeffery (10/5): - Check in was fast and the employees were super nice. The rooms have been redone and overall were not bad. The shower did not drain well but everything else was just fine. Would stay again.
