- Zhukouskaya (10/5): I love it - Everything was perfect Everything was perfect
- Artan (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Its location in the heart of Istanbul is unbeatable—most major landmarks and attractions were within easy walking distance or a quick ride away. The room was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable throughout my stay. If you're looking for a place that combines convenience with cleanliness, this hotel is a solid choice.
- Natalya (10/5): Все есть для комфортного проживания. - Очень удобное расположение, рядом с основными достопримечательностям.
Очень доброжелательный персонал, номер чистый.
Уютный отель. Все понравилось.

- Gabriel (10/5): - Had a great stay at Valdivia Hotel! Location is perfect for exploring the city. Room was comfy and clean, and Yadin, the host, was super friendly and helpful. Rooftop view was amazing. Highly recommend!
- Adele (4/5): Would not recommend. Room smelled of smoke and many things were broken in the bathroom - Very close to the centre of town Shower head was broken, toilet seat was loose, sink was loose, pillows were hard and room, especially the curtains, smelled of cigarettes. Had no hand towels and no floor mat so when the broken shower sprayed it got the whole bathroom floor wet
- Adele (2/5): Why is this hotel recommended by booking.com - would not recommend this hotel to anyone - Location Rooms were not cleaned for the 4nights/5days- Gabage not emptied - Lights not working- no towels or toilet paper in the room. Poor toilet setup. Very steep stairs
No remote for air conditioner - very warm

- Yuliya (5/5): Дуже брудно. -
- Samra (5/5): Not so happy - The hotel's location is convenient. Within a 10-minute walk, you can reach the Sultanahmet tram station, from where you can easily get to Sirkeci or Eminönü, and continue to other destinations. If you are visiting Istanbul for the first time, this is a good location as all the major historical landmarks are nearby.
The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, and their service was definitely the highlight of our stay.
There are many restaurants and three small grocery stores located on the same street. The hotel rooms are in need of renovation. The hairdryer appeared damaged, and we were hesitant to use it. The rooms were warm — we stayed in April and did not experience any issues with heating. Cleanliness was satisfactory.
However, we often had to request toilet paper, as housekeeping did not regularly restock it. We booked a room for three people, but upon check-in, we had to ask for additional bedding, towels, and slippers. There was a persistent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom.
Sound insulation was poor; we were frequently disturbed during the night by other guests, as we could clearly hear them using the stairs and entering their rooms.
The room we stayed in did not have a nice view and was located on the third floor without an elevator. The staircase was very narrow and steep, similar to those found in a mosque minaret. Fortunately, the receptionist kindly assisted us with our large suitcase.
The rooftop terrace for breakfast, which is shown in the photos on Booking.com, was not in use and should be updated. Breakfast was served in the ground-floor restaurant, with the same menu offered each day. The restaurant was cold and lacked any background music, resulting in an uninspiring atmosphere to start the day.
However, for a future visit, I would likely choose a different hotel.
- Ahmet (10/5): I was there last 10 days everyone in the hotel are friendly and respectful and helpful and full of love thank you to eve - Location noise from outside not inside the hotel at al
- Limitless (5/5): The hotel and Istanbul were both underwhelming it felt overpriced for what it offered. - The location is fantastic—perfect if you’re looking to be right in the center of everything! It was super convenient to get around, and you’re truly in the heart of the action. On top of that, the staff were amazing—super cool, nice, and easygoing. They really made the stay more enjoyable with their friendly attitude. While I understand the value-for-money aspect, and you often get what you pay for, there were some aspects of the stay that felt underwhelming and could have been communicated better in the listing.
The hotel itself is quite run-down. The windows had noticeable cracks, there was black mold in the shower, and the flooring was coming apart in some places. These are things that go beyond the expected "budget experience." Additionally, nowhere in the description was it mentioned that access to the hotel was through a restaurant and that there was no elevator. I later realized many hotels in this area lack elevators due to the age of the buildings, but this is something travelers should know in advance. Bags of linen and towels placed near the entrance added to the impression of disorganization.
That said, there are some positives. The staff were fantastic—very friendly and accommodating—and the location is great, both convenient and vibrant. If I were traveling alone, I might have been okay with these compromises, but since I was traveling with my wife, I found myself wishing for more transparency and information about the hotel beforehand.
Overall, the hotel might work for solo travelers who prioritize location and affordability over comfort, but for couples or those seeking a bit more, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
- Lydia (6/5): Pleasant - Great location and staff member on reception was very helpful and kind. The room was very basic and needed some attention (was clean but run down). The rooms were also 0% sound proof which wasn’t ideal with a baby.
- Fathiah (9/5): I love the hotel because of the people. They are amazing. They helped me and my friends alot. It made you feel like a f - I like how near it is to Hagia Sophia and all the attractions are walking distance. It’s near bosphorus as well.
- Baciu (3/5): Very good to recommend to your enemies - That it was somewhat close to the center. The room was extremely dirty, the bathroom the same it was gross to stay in there, shower not working properly, it did.t have a pear, the sink was always getting stuck, and it was so small couldn.t stand on the wc. The room was also extremely small we didn.t even have space for.our luggages, one of us had to stay on the bed whilst the other was changing. And the view it was behind a building full of walls with ACs, which made it very noisy. If you have an enemy send him to this place.
- Brittany (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gilman (4/5): Disappointing -
- Artemio (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect hotel accomodation in downtown Istanbul.Nice, confortable and clean rooms.main atractions within walking distance No elevator. For me no problem but some people might have dificulties claiming some stairs
- Zain (7/5): Good -
- Badem (4/5): Nice Location but not worth money - Great Location, nice staff. Spacious room and balcony. Not worth money. Bed sheets weren't clean, had hair and stains on it. The blanket on double bed wasnt big enough for 2 people. Felt uncomfortable sleeping.
Pilllows and towels had stains. Bath was dirty, couldn't use it, had to use it as a shower. Floor was very dusty, caused sneezing.
Balcony door, broken glass at the top. Water stopped working for 20 to 30 minutes. Tv didn't work. AC not strong, hardly felt it. Had to open balcony door for fresh air.
One of the drawers had the previous peoples stuff like bottles and med packets so not cleaned out. No drinks in fridge like they provide in other hotels.
Hairdryer didn't work properly. Every 2 minutes, turned off. Was on third floor, family suit so many dangerous stairs, no lift. Not worth paying over £700.
- Pafbadz (4/5): Meh - The location was near Sultanamet but if you dont like crowded touristy places avoid it.
Noisy. Outdated. Not worth your money Noisy. Outdated. Not worth your money
- Alexandra (1/5): Bad - The location Very dirty
- Faha (7/5): Good -
- Haleema (1/5): Awful hotel, horrific experience with disability/health prejudice towards us! - Absolutely horrific stay:
-Many things broken including windows, lights and shower head.
- Air conditioning unit not working properly
-False advertising: info said it is sound proofed, 24/7 reception and has room service- these weren't true at all. It's on top of a pub restaurant with extremely loud music and performances till the early hours. Seeing and hearing music and dancing around 2am isn't sound proofing! No one was at the reception most times and the room service was non existent.
• Extortionate taxi service was a fiasco, came late and not communicated properly.
- Became very sick and stressed due to lack of sleep from noise
- No help - asked for advice with tours, told we'd get help in person. Instead then told to ask for help in writing, which we'd done originally!
- Asked for rooms to be cleaned but weren't properly as one of our sheets got a lipstick stain on it which was still there after they supposedly cleaned, so bedding wasn't changed.
- Unprofessional conduct: we were told our room would be changed due to so many issues but came back and it wasn't. We complained and the manager made out like we were the issue at one point! He said something like if you get migraines with noise then you shouldn't go on holidays as you should expect noise! It was such a nasty and shocking comment and is pretty much discriminating and prejudice on grounds of disability/health.
- Thomas (6/5): Good value for money however, room not clean and a certain amount of false advertising. Staff were friendly. - Perfect central location. Large walk in shower and plenty of room for bags and suitcases. Dirty room, sheets “washed” but not clean with stains. Double doors lock broken and advertised rooftop area seems to be disused and a dumping ground.
- Thomas (9/5): Ideal Location for Weekend Sightseeing Trip - Absolutely central location. Friendly staff. Facilities fine. No complaints
- Mizar (8/5): Very good -
- Zlatko (9/5): Great place near Topkapı Blue Mosque St.Sofia - Very helpful personal. We book smaller room ,but they gave us bigger. They help me with parking my car nearby. This is a big problem around(parking).Service is good price quality ratio. Place is very close to Topkapı, Blue Mosque and St. Sofia. Sultanahmet station is 10-12min and with T1 tram you can easily get to Dolmabahçe and Galata tower. Hotel is in the restaurant area of sultanahmet . Night life is burning here, so for someone could be too noisy. For us it was ok, cause we were tired and sleep was imminent.
- Jacopo (9/5): Superb -
- Flykri (9/5): Superb -
- Mourad (1/5): Horrendous. Stay well away. - Nothing. It was over a pub, it played ear piercing music every night until 3am. The cleaning lady was good and staff accommodating. Didn’t like anything about the place. The deluxe triple was dangerous small for 3 grown people. Air conditioning not working properly. Crack in sink so the water just poured onto the floor of the bathroom. We were moved to a different room. No sleep any night with the music. Day five we were moved across the road because the building was deemed unsafe and was closed. We were moved up over another pub. If you want to sleep at all on your holiday don’t go near this street. Nothing was done to improve the state of the original building yet they told us we could move back into it two days later. We did not as we were checking out the next day. If we did not pay in advance, without possibility of a refund, we would have ran from the place and street.
- Anonymous (10/5): Lovely stay - Friendly staff
Clean
Close to main attractions
Food variety in the whole road No elevator - but common in Istanbul
- Linxiu (9/5): We were very happy to be there. - The location of the hotel is great, within walking distance of all attractions. Every staff in the hotel is very warm and friendly, giving us a lot of useful suggestions, and room service is provided every day. The whole street downstairs is full of restaurants, which is very convenient for eating. There are also shops, which is very important. We were pleasantly surprised that there was a Korean restaurant nearby The decoration and appliances are a bit old and need to be updated. It will be a bit noisy at night, but this is understandable
- P.ma (2/5): Very poor - 1. It has perfect location, easy to reach the two most famous mosques and some other sightseeing places. But everyday you have to go through the street with bars/restaurants that try to rip you off and cook overpriced mediocre food. You have to reject those vendors and owner again and again everyday. So pick some other parts of the city if you are up for a relaxing vaction.
2. Staffs are friendly, nice while not helpful. We tried to change to a room which matches their description. What we got is just some further promotion of tourist traps and an offer of upgrading our room with almost double the price. We did get a room change for the last night of our 6 nights stay, hurray :D.
3. the cleaning lady is really friendly and helpful and doing her job greatly! But the problem is that the hotel is just not well maintained, and the lady herself cannot do much about those (broken window handle, moldy bath room, aged dirt all over the place, not well working sink) We booked a double room, which according to their description should be 20m2. However, the room we got is definately not more than 12m2. The room we got has nothing to do with what they described and shown on booking. Ofc you can always say you get what you pay for, but they are basicilly cheating with thoese description and images. If we've known that, we would've chosen another hotel.
1. the room is old, cramped, and not well maintained with many parts of the room broken.
2. Super noisy street till 2 or 3 am, if you like it go for it. If you just want to get some rest after a whole day exploring the city, avoid it.
3. the beddings and towels are old and dirty with many yellow or other colorful stains. They just don't care about maintaing the hotel, because they know no matter how they will still be some misguided tourists coming over.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ajaz (10/5): Small hotel on a very vibrant area - Location was key to our stay and this property was in the perfect place. The management were very helpful and met all our needs. All in all highly recommended.
- Spyridoula (10/5): Exceptional - It is the most conveniently located hotel you can find to see most of Istanbul 'a attractions by foot. Tram stop very close, so you can visit any other location you want. Very friendly and helpful manager and stuff. The room has everything you'll need: aircondition, fridge, clean towels every day, and a nice old fashioned decoration. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and they clean everyday.
- Farid (10/5): Exceptional - Nice place to stay. All friendly 😇 thumbs up to all staff there. I will miss u all. From Malaysia.
- Olha (9/5): price-quality👌 is just what you need for a small trip - We booked one room with three bed for us and our Mama.
But when we arrived, hotel gave us two separate rooms. Thanks a lot for this “gift”😁 it was much more comfortable for us the air conditioner was weak and it was very hot to sleep.
- Iuliia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hashim (2/5): Terrible! - Near to tourist attraction. Everything other than location. The hotel is terrible and everything about it is bad. Everything you touch like door handles, bathroom taps is broken. Even washbasin had big crack in it. The pictures are just fake and probably taken 20 years back. There was a TV in room but no remote and it was not provided even during 5 nights of stay. The bad sheets and towel were old. Terrace is a dirty balcony with two dirty sofas. Bathtub which is a jacuzzi was dirty and broken and the whole bathroom was wet all the time.
The worst part (if above is not enough) is the loud music outside which starts 5PM and goes on till 3AM in the morning. We were not able to sleep at all due unreasonable volume.
- Jill (10/5): Best staff and location - The best staff. We were a group of 8 and were treatted like familly! Great location. Good vibe but not crazy.
- Nadeem (7/5): Good -
- Firas (5/5): Passable - L'emplacement The properties
- Barbu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (4/5): Disappointing -
- Vandana (9/5): Superb - The location is excellent everything is close by ,the rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful in showing us the best way to get to different locations.Despite having many bars close by the noise never carried in to the rooms.
- Amarjit (8/5): Very good - The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Location was great, walking distance to the sites and tramway. The sink in the bathroom was coming apart.
- Leslie (5/5): Meh.... - The location was good, and the bed was super comfortable. The shower was good and there was a safe in the room. The person who checked me in kept asking me why I wasn't staying longer than one night (not that'sany of his business). Also, he seemed unhappy, based on his requests about what currency I was carrying, that I was paying in the local currency and not in dollars or euros. The towel I used had holes, large ones, in them. Be aware it's above a restaurant and there were still loud customers there at almost 5 am. It could have been the position of my room that I could hear this. I never did get the hang of how the lights in the room worked but I was only there for 1 night so I am sure that would have been resolved. Finally, this is probably not the accommodation for you if you have mobility issues. The stairs up to the accommodation were very steep and that seems to be the only way into the accommodation.
- Suzannah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tina (7/5): Good location to explore the old town - The location is perfect to explore the old town of Istanbul. It's good value for money. The rooms and furniture is very basic and practical.
- Mr_iurii (8/5): Very good -
- Sayat (9/5): Superb -
- Artan (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is at the heart of old town. It has immediate access to all the main landmarks. Tram is only 5 minutes away. The room was spacious. In a addition to the beds (one master bed and one single bed), it had a sofa which made it so cozy for my family to spend evenings having coffee and chatting. It had proper lighting in all corners. Staff are kind and responsive. There is nothing I disliked.
- 徐 (10/5): Exceptional - It has a very nice location, very close to the blue mosque and Hagia Sofia. The staffs were very nice and helpful.
The room was clean and had a good price
- Jihad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jihad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Miropg (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rafael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rand (8/5): Perfect - Very clean on daily basis, and the staff was so helpful and nice.
room was very warm and the location is amazing 5 minutes walking from Hagia Sofia
- Gamkreladoc (9/5): Superb -
- Mohamad (2/5): Very poor -
- Afiqah (10/5): it was a nice stay. the receptionist even borrowed us a transport card for tram - near to everything
- Rezab (8/5): Very good - Quaint hotel with a few rooms which are comfortable and all you need. Hotel is surrounded by many restaurants.
Great service! Personally, having a knee problem, the stairs. No lifts
- Ahed (1/5): Horrible - I hate all the stay at this hotel ... the reviews was fake
- Iana (8/5): Very good -
- Diana (10/5): amazing - attentive staff there is nothing, everything is perfect
- Diana (10/5): amazing - I came to this hotel in September 2022 for the first time and honestly the staff were amazing and helpful, Cihan helped us a lot and anything you need, any simple favor was done smoothly and in a good way… helpfulness of the staff
- Demirtash (10/5): Exceptional - Good and friendly staff clean and tidy rooms and nice location👌
- Gale (7/5): Good - The staff are really helpful, especially Mustafa ☺️. The room is massive on size. If you want to visit Ayasofya, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, this is a good spot. The hotel is just above the bars and restaurants so you expect it to be a little loud until atleast 12 midnight as restaurants close late. There is no elevator incase you want to bring heavy luggages. Tram is 8-minute walk away.
- Manas (10/5): Nice location, very helpful staff - The location is really good. The staff was very helpful. They gave us advice about the city and didn't mind the late check out and even keeping our luggage so that we could explore the city even more. Nothing.
- Jas (7/5): Good -
- I (9/5): Excellent location and very good value for money. The friendly staff are a big bonus. - Excellent location close to the main historic sights of Istanbul and Tram line. Staff very friendly, especially Mustafa, who went out of his way to help. I had forgotten a phone charger and he found me one which was very useful for my stay. Very pleasant staff.
- Rakhmatullo (8/5): Very good - property was clean and comfortable.
- Eric (9/5): fine stay in touristic heart of istanbul - very supportive host and best location you can find in Istanbul for holiday
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional - The place is nice, room was clean, price was awesome, location is excellent nothing to mention
- Tatiana (7/5): Good value for money. - Location is perfect, staff very nice, daily room cleaning. Good value for money. Loud music from the restaurant downstairs.
- Rohanie (10/5): Great location, respectful and helpful staff, cozy room and bathroom ;more than worth what u pay for. - It is at the center of sultanahmet with restaurant even down and surrounding the hotel so if u just wanna chill out at night being near the accomodation then this is the right place.
All the receptionist staff were so respectful and helpful that we didn't feel the burden of carrying our luggages even without elevator coz they are always willing to help.
You can ask them arrange your airport to hotel-airport transfer arrangement and the tour or anything about the city. None
- Mohammad (10/5): a perfect place to stay in the heart of istanbul with all historical sites very nearby. - very friendly staff and they also guided and helped about visiting different places with economical rates👍🏼
and yes the guy Mustafa was very helpful with everything. dont have elevator
- Valerian (1/5): never again - location dirty show; two days no hot water
- Nora (4/5): would stay again if travel with less fussy company - the location and receptionist on arrival was really helpful. the other receptionist was a bit pushy about feedback on Booking.com which was annoying as I was still on holiday/retreat. bathroom and room were clean but that’s all about it. my friend didn’t get a blanket eve though I asked for an extra one. on arrival there’s only one set of towel even though they knew there were two of us so I had to ask. no elevator but they helped
to bring the suitcases up and down on check in and out. there was a drunken American downstairs in the restaurant and he was a bit of a knob but he came from a good place so just dismiss him nicely. the hotel is just good for sleeping changing and putting away your stuff while you explore Istanbul. worth the money though
- Diwan (4/5): Disappointing - Location is good. Walking distance from Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Many small restaurants around. Service was poor. Lack of cleanliness.
- Maksim (9/5): Superb -
- Andrei (9/5): Highly recommended!! - very clean, excellent communication, great location , very close to most of the points of interest. Not a 5 star facility hotel but that’s not
the point and doesn’t minimize its strong points
- Aleksei (8/5): Very good - The location of this hotel is great: it's close to main touristic attractions of Fatih district and 5 min away from Bosphorus straight. My room was facing the adjoining building, which was good, because I couldn't hear the street noise from there. The staff is friendly, the room is clean. It's good value for money. No breakfast included and there's no elevator in the building.
- Barakat (10/5): Exceptional - The location ;the view ;the stuff was cheerful and cooperative and welcoming ;enjoyed the stay and decide to visit it again Everything was fine
- Lina (10/5): Exceptional - Great staff. Great location.
- Mohamed (9/5): Superb -
