Guest Reviews
- Huggins (7/5): Lovely location and nice cottage - The cottage is in a lovely location and has what you need. it is clean comfortable and has lovely decour. Due to a fault we did not have hot water for the first evening and the first day. Once reported this was rectified and we had no issues after that. The gentleman who came and fixed it was friendly helpful and waited until he was happy it was fixed before leaving. He also advised if any further issues to let him know as he was only up the road. My main disappointment was the lack of tea / coffee and milk. We have stayed in many cottages and always had at least enough for the first day. We have also received some lovely welcome packages. Sadly this was missing on this occasion. Fortunately I had brought some with us as I like to be prepared but had I not this would have proved awkward making us have to go out to get them on arrival.
- Eveline (7/5): Cute, quiet cottage. - Kitchen could do with some more utensils.
- Ulrike (10/5): Weekend break - Dog friendly
Nice little house with fire place
Comfortable beds
Well equipped kitchen
Had everything we needed
In 25 minutes in York Nothing
- Jane (8/5): - Location is perfect, so close to Malton, York, and easy walk to Castle Howard.
- Graeme (9/5): Had a good time. No complaints at all about the property. Would stay there again. - Charming, simple cottage. Clean and tidy. Nothing really.
- Angela (10/5): - Super little cottage. Great location. Lovely and clean. It was perfect.
- Caroline (9/5): Comfortable cottage in fantastic countryside with amazing pub and bakery cum cafe. - Lovely cottage with off street parking and small garden. Ideal for the two of us to explore the area. The property is very well equipped but needs some form of drying facility.
- Diane (8/5): Used as a base to be out & about in Welburn, Malton & surrounding area! - Location was perfect for a family visit. Lovely comfortable bedrooms
- Astrid (9/5): Superb - Excellent location, lovely bedrooms, very helpful and friendly host. We had a perfect stay and the cottage is very well equiped. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. The cottage is fully equiped with anything you need. We only missed some more kitchen utensils, like cutting knives, a whisk and a cheese grater and also a kitchen chair for the third guest. Apart from this, all was perfect.
- Barbara (5/5): Passable - location was beautiful close to York No hot water, hob didn't work, heating wasn't great took a long time to heat up and no hairdryer
- Darren (8/5): Very good - Nice little cottage and a lovely village in a handy location for all our day trips. There was a mix up to start with over the key safe but once sorted we had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay
- Melody (10/5): An amazing stay in a picturesque village. - It was like a home from home! Beautiful setting and extremely clean and comfortable. Rachel was really welcoming and friendly. Very helpful with information on the local area. We used the cafe in the village everyday on our stay which was amazing. Wonderful dog walks on our doorstep and a great base to visit whitby and the moors. We wish we could have stayed longer!
