- Giulia (7/5): -
- Philip (6/5): - Room was good, food was good.. The price.
- Douglas (8/5): -
- Trevor (5/5): - Great bed No food in town for breakfast
T.v is all scratchy and has 3 stations that work but really hard to watch
- Douglas (7/5): -
- Jerry (10/5): Great place to stay! - Front desk super nice guy, very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend and the restaurant food was delicious and very affordable. There was no hand soap in the room but I used the shower gel and it wasn’t an issue.
- Logan (10/5): Much better than anticipated, would absolutely stay again - The room was great (I liked the layout of the room, the coffee maker and microwave having their own little area, as weird as that sounds lol), quiet and clean. Parking was easy. There was also a riverside walking path right behind the building, as well as a general store (with some souvenirs too) in front. Decent food too. It's (I believe) the only hotel option in Carmacks, but luckily it's a solid choice either way, with everything you could need for an overnight. Would stay again. Check in was a little confusing, but noticed a sign saying to check in at the attached pub, and that was quick and easy. Didn't affect my stay or experience at all though.
- Vincent (7/5): Convenient stop from Whitehorse to Dawson City. - Convenient stop from Whitehorse to Dawson City.
The staff are very welcoming and there is a good on site restaurant. The room door entry system did not feel secure.
Couldn't get a restful nights sleep because noise from other guests on the floor above.
- Chun-Yi (8/5): -
- Ardyne (9/5): - Easy access.
- Miloslav (7/5): -
- Kathy (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay. Clean, comfortable room.
- Kristi (8/5): -
- Gabriele (9/5): Gute Übernachtungsmöglichkeit - Für eine Nacht zur Durchfahrt vollkommen ok. Da gibt es nichts
- Barbara (9/5): - Good location, nice size room, good cafe and general store. Lovely boardwalk for walks along the river. Air conditioner, if needed.
- Richard (6/5): An expensive hotel that needs upgrades to make it comfortable. - The location was great! Very close to the Yukon River so we did some walking and night photography of Aurora! Beds were good and it was clean. We thought the price was very high so we had high expectations. However, there were very few tv channels, insecure wifi, a tub that wouldn’t drain, and shower soap, conditioner, shampoo that were not labelled.
- Bruce (7/5): A comfortable place to stay on the drive to Dawson City. - The hotel is one of the few places to stay on the long drive to Dawson City. The room was comfortable and food choices were fair. Very expensive accommodation. The cost of the room.
- Alberto (5/5): -
- Alison (9/5): - Great beds, good wifi, nice microwave and fridge with freezer. Really liked the keyless entry as well. A little wear and tear here and there, and unless you know it's behind the store, you may not be able to find it. I found the air freshener in the lobby to be a little overpowering.
- Eliane (8/5): -
- Mathieu (10/5): -
- Loretta (10/5): Exceptional - The restaurant near the hotel called The Gold Panner
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Siddhartha (9/5): Superb -
- Tom (7/5): Good -
- Pat (8/5): Very good -
- Pat (8/5): Meet looked after us well! Thank you. -
- Niki (10/5): Very clean and comfortable stay -
- Neena (7/5): Good -
- Daphne (9/5): Pleasant. Location near boardwalk and visitors Center Fine for a stopover - Clean and comfortable. Stop over on the drive from Dawson to Whitehorse. Staff were very pleasant. There was a small restaurant, gas station, laundromat, rv park. It was an older property as expected but all was good. No complaints.
- Moffat (2/5): Not good - The water was not working in the hotel. The staff didn't seem to want to fix it. We could not shower. Also I paid for two beds but there was only one in the room.
- Blaine (7/5): Good -
- Jude (10/5): Exceptional - Modern and renovated Front desk person and not such a complicated room door lock
- Darrel (8/5): We enjoyed our brief stay in Carmacks and would stay again. - We had breakfast at the Sunshine Cafe. It exceeded our expectations. Staff very friendly. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The area of the great north forest is absolutely stunning. We were on a month long road trip, had too much stuff, and were on the second floor. Oh boy.
- Glen (7/5): Again for overnight stay fine, not a whole lot to do in Carmacks. - See some in person for checking in. Once you get to the reception area, you call a number listed on the notice, get someone, tell them details ect, then they text you a 4 digit code to your phone to get into your room. Over not any problems with that, they had my reservation, just needed a few questions answered, had the code ect, head down to the room.
- Karrin (7/5): Good price and good value. - Never did a no person check in but it actually went quite smoothly. All the services a traveler needs was right there.
- Slivorski (7/5): Good - Room was clean and as advertised/expected. No real complaints. No actual counter staff. Have to call in at check in to get a door code. Don't really like that way of doing it, but to be honest the process was flawless and worked. Just would prefer to talk face to face.
- Michael (7/5): Good - Bedding was good and bathrooms more up to date than the rest of the hotel. The checkin process is odd. No reception desk, call a phone number and get a text with your room info. The hotel feels a bit dated. It needs more light and it has a musty smell to it.
- Kaijian (1/5): Bad - Room is clean. Water pressure is good. No staff, if anything happens like the electricity shortage, you will not even get a sorry, not to mention the solution. They outsourced their customers service to another country and their credit payment method is ridiculous. If you want to keep your information safe. Don’t book it.
- Sally (8/5): Clean ,comfortable place to stay for a night - Close to walking trail . Had food & gas close by Could hear the people in the next room
- Afilal (9/5): Superb -
- Anthony (8/5): Handy Friendly Overnight Stop - Perfect distance for a stopover on our trip to Dawson City. The location turned to be much better than expected. The location near the river gives ample opportunity to take a walk. Accessing the room was done remotely which was a little odd but seemed to work seamlessly. The room and building were overly warm and a bit stuffy plus the A/C was noisey so could t be used when we wanted to sleep.
- Ian (10/5): Excellent hotel. Very comfortable. - Excellent hotel. Don’t let the outside appearance put you off. Inside the hotel has been totally renovated, the rooms are excellent with good quality fittings. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker supplied and working. Nice bar was a bonus. The bed was extremely comfortable.
- Don (4/5): Disappointing - No attendant in lobby.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lori (5/5): Passable -
- Kim (8/5): Nice place to stay - Clean and convenient
- Connie (9/5): A good place to stay while traveling the Klondike Hwy - There is a grocery store next door.
- Brooker (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dorothea (9/5): Superb -
- S (5/5): It was sufficient for the purpose. - The room was nicely re-done. Nice bathroom. Comfortable bed. Nice that the window opened for fresh air. Under the bed was not vacuumed. There was popcorn etc. and we didn't have popcorn. The room needed a good vacuuming. The rug was dirty by the baseboards. Take off the hose and vacuum the perimeter of the room and hallway!
- David (7/5): Good -
- Antonio (6/5): I’ll think twice before booking there again - Close to restaurants Drunks leaving the bar, which is connected to the hotel, making major noise & waking me up through the night.
- Pallavi (7/5): Slightly overpriced - Great mattresses
Basin outside the washroom
Microwave and fridge in the room
Easy access from the highway Rooms are a little run down
- Yan (9/5): Superb -
- David (1/5): Did not meet my very low expectations. - Filthy. Floors, heavy algal growth on shower curtain, hair in tub. No batteries in tv remote. Not tv service once we found some batteries. AC didn’t work, oscillating fan broken.
No towels, zero. One clean and one dirty wash cloth. Desk closes early opens late so weren’t able to get towels.
- Stephanie (3/5): Poor - Good restaurant near by
- Adrian (7/5): Everything a traveller needs (tv is not a neccessity). - Well designed room, great bed, good coffee, spacious. TV only 1 channel being sports but understand cable boxes to be installed soon. Nice staff.
- Jean-pierre (8/5): Very good -
