• LILI (9/5): - The property is very convenient, spacious and well located. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking diner after a long day of exploring Kyoto. We really liked the fact that the host took the time to explain everything to us about the equipments and shops that were around. I fully recommend this place for a great stay in Kyoto. The only thing I could say is that they were not providing towel.

• Jodie (9/5): We enjoyed our stay at this property and would recommend it as a base for getting around in Kyoto. - It was very clean and comfortable with good amenities. The steep staircase to the top level needs a railing, it’s quite hazardous. The kettle needs instructions! or replace it with something simple to use. We had to cover the “exit” light, it’s too bright for sleeping.

• Jane (10/5): Lovely accommodation would recommend - The whole property was superbly equipped with quality fixtures and fittings. It was immaculate and very comfortable. The only improvement the landlord could make would be to include towels as well as the bedding as we had to bring our own towel and travelling light took up a bit of back pack space.
• Esmeralda (7/5): A great stay, but make sure you understand that futons are floor mattresses. - I liked its location in Kyoto. The property was very clean, the restroom was very comfortable, and the heating worked great. I didn't like that none of the beds were actual beds. I understand that traditional beds in Japan are on the floor. However, in the description of the property, it described the beds as futons. I understand a futon to be a foldable couch; I didn't know a futon in Japan refers to a mattress in the floor. This was rather uncomfortable, given that we didn't know the beds would be on the floor. Had we known that futons referred to mattresses on the floor, we would have made other arrangements. I do take responsibility about not having clarified with the property manager prior to our stay about what a futon was, but I would've appreciated a clearer description as to the accommodations.

The explanations were clear and the welcoming was really nice ^^ I don't remember if it was written on booking, but the appartment didn't provide towels for the shower. It's not a big deal, but just maybe it could be written somewhere ^^

• Darrenball (8/5): Very clean and excellent facilities. Would return. - Wonderful location, very close to the Imperial Gardens, and a very short walk to local convenience stores. Reliable wifi, very clean facilities, and temperature control. As guests, we had access to bicycles for free, as well as umbrellas. The only issue we had was the emergency exit light above the entrance/exit of the bedroom stays on, which does not allow the room to be dark at night.

• Linda (9/5): Older travelers - Convenient location. No hand rail on very steep stairs. As we are older travelers we were scared of falling. Installing a hand rail would be a big plus+.
