• Lyn (5/5): Misleading photos unit would be suitable for a quick overnight stay - Found exceptionally hard to find information on how to access the unit, as no information forthcoming from owner. Easy access to unit. It is a very small unit and 2nd bedroom of 2 x SB would only sleep children. Very lacking in provision of kitchen provisions milk etc. no power points in bedroom, bedroom light not working and air conditioning sound was extremely loud old refrigeration. Very lacking in providing kitchen provisions of milk etc. no power points in main bedroom, light in bedroom not working. 2nd bedroom has 2 small beds suitable for children and not adults. Air conditioner was old refrigerator one that was far too loud. No forward information from owner on how to access unit. From photos on booking.com site I thought these units were in a caravan park. That is not the case.

• Stephanie (4/5): Basic accommodation in a great location. Started our holiday with the units not being cleaned. - The beds were comfortable. Great location. Lovely BBQ area. Units weren't cleaned when we arrived, so we had to wait over 2 hours for them to be cleaned and we were all exhausted after a long drive and just wanted to relax. Were told we would receive a monetary refund but that didn't happen. No bin liner in kitchen bin. Only 1 roll of toilet paper for 4 people and 4 nights. Expected to wash and dry our own dishes but kitchen plug was too small for the sink so we couldn't fill up the sink without all the water leaking. Had to wash dishes under running water.
• The Walkers (8/5): Good unit in a bit of a dodgy feeling area. - Clean and tidy. Was double booked. We’d booked 9 months before, and paid a long time before. We got downgraded with a little refund.

• Tim (3/5): - Location Completely impersonal. Frass uncut. Complete lack of facolity information. Complete lack pf tourist infor. Complete lack of local information. Missing or insufficient cutlery. Faulty kitchen appliance. Reception was not open during our stay. All contact was by email or text.

• Lucinda (6/5): It wasn’t bad, wasn’t great either. - Clean Cleaners did not have the room ready at 2pm and we had to wait until 3pm to go in our villa. Main road right beside the villa so was not very peaceful.

• Susan (7/5): We enjoyed our stay , close to suppermarket, 30 minutes walk to town or quick drive. - The washers in the bathroom taps all needed replacing. the Bathroom itself was good . I did email in regard host in regard to fixing the washer issue . Other than that all good.
• Lloyd (8/5): A good stay in a very unique city. - A stand alone 2 bedroom villa, very clean and tidy. Easy walk to local shopping centre. Good communication to retrieve keys on arrival so we never met the host/manager. No WiFi but that was advertised as such.

• Marcia (9/5): Great place to stay and was a reasonable price. - The property was located in a quiet area and while it was basic, it was clean and had all we needed for our overnight stay in Broken Hill. It was very easy to book and access the property as we only booked it when we arrived in town. I would stay there again. One of the rooms didn’t have a ceiling fan and we couldn’t find an extension cord to use the stand fan provided.

• Diana (6/5): - Was told cleaner was running late by 30 mins. We were travelling from Muswellbrook NSW so we arrived at the villa after waiting a further 30 mins. Cleaner told us to wait another 30 mins as she was still cleaning. We had to sit in our car around the corner as it was 13 degrees and Gale force winds. Villa to be available when stated after 2pm.
• Jo (6/5): Would look at other options for Broken Hill - Overall size was good, but not as listed in booking. We didn’t get a stand alone villa and no washing machine as listed! Had to spend another $50 going to laundromat. We were given half the main house only separated by locked door could hear other unit in bathroom and tv. Also no curtain in kitchen was cold and had no privacy. Not at all happy with this allocation.

• Maureen (6/5): - This was a good sized cabin with two separate bedroooms, plenty of parking space, with all amenities one would expect. Quiet location. It was a little unclean and I was unsure whether the sheets on the two single beds were fresh. I accidentally deleted the texted check in instructions and when we rang the number listed as the contact number no one answered for over an hour which had us looking at other places around town to stay in. We did eventually reach someone who very promptly sent us the text again. It would be good though if there is a number to call when something goes wrong around checkin time. We arrived around 5pm.

I called six times - on the number I was given - no answer at all, no option to leave a message, no return call. I was travelling 500kms for my father's funeral with my 90 year old mother and other family members. We had received no info about check in. I rang six times (as mentioned above) and sent a message thru booking.com and received no response. So we were very concerned we'd get to the location and couldn't get in. Made a stressful day more stressful. Even when they contacted me - after I'd sent a message to booking.com - they never made an attempt to apologise. We booked for four nights and left after two. Other smaller issues - no globes in hall lights, had to buy batteries to replace in tv remote, we also bought our own toilet paper, had half a dishcloth to wash dishes.

• Meredith (1/5): Would not recommend- not what is advertised, dated, small cabin on a busy main road with no laundry facilities - Nothing - small and dated and on a busy main road - we were allocated Cabin 1. No laundry facilities- they advertised these were available. Not contacted prior to arrival - they said they couldn’t text me but they should have then tried to contact me via booking.com. There was no one on site to help. Managed to get into the room after speaking to another guest - it was small and very dated and dark and miserable- not like the photos. We packed the car up and found alternative accommodation in Broken Hill Small, on a main road, dated and dark - miserable all round

• Craig (3/5): Poor - Nothing. See what we didn't like. Villa 1 was very noisy. Cabin is located on Galena St, about 15m from the road. Galena St connects Broken Hill town centre with the highway and is busy 24/7.. The advertising is false as there is NO laundry,for guests. Outback Villa's appear to be using it for themselves. One reason for ourr booking was the laundry. The villa whilst clean was worn, old and tiny. We left after the first night and paid and stayed elsewhere in Broken Hill.

• Gail (9/5): Easy to find and handy to shops, neat and tidy - Easy to deal with end to end, with instructions. Accomodation, well maintained and comfortable. We were there from Sunday to Wednesday and only people in the whole site. Beds and building were clean and equipment all there. Microwave, fridge, air-conditioner all in good working order. The site is easy to find and central to shops, to walk to if you wanted. Parking is good as well. I gave a 9 for the following - the lights above the beds, watch out they get extremely hot to touch, especially for children. The second bedroom didn’t have plugs, would be better if they did. The air conditioner noisy, needs filter cleaned. These are minor and wouldn’t stop us from recommending it See above

Great location, away from main Rd traffic and easy to find and quiet. Undercover parking. 3 bedroom, perfect space for a few nights stay or even longer. Full size fridge Dinner table for 6. Adequate cooling for the local climate. Competitive pricing for the facilities provided. Definitely recommend. Continuous stream of ants by the front door. Metal 2 seater chair as outdoor furniture, would have liked an outdoor setting under the carport. Can't be too picky!
