El lugar es muy tranquilo, la decoración de los cuartos y de los lugares compartidos es hermosa y se duerme muy bien. Además aparecen colibrís de vez en cuando, que a mi me encantan (he visto dos!). Es una buena señal que vengan colibrís, ellos son símbolos de paz y serenidad, cómo la casa de Sarah y Juan. Por fin la llegada y salida ha sido muy fácil y todo muy fluido. perfecto!

• Pamela (8/5): Very good - Suites Colibri is in a safe, convenient location. I arrived about 10:00 pm and the owners were there to meet me and show me how everything works. The mini kitchen in the apartment is adequate and if you want to cook a big meal you can use the communal kitchen. There was some cofffee, tea and sugar available to use in my apartment. It's a little tricky to describe but to get to my apartment I entered at ground level where the communal kitchen and a few other rooms and apartments are and then you walk down a spiral set of stairs to get to a lower patio and 2-3 other apartments. Due to being in the lower level there was limited light and air flow into my apartment. But the builder did as a good a job as possible getting light into the rooms with 3 windows. Luckily most people staying there were pretty quiet.

It’s not kept up it’s clean, but could use some TLC - Location Lock on the door to my room did not work, I was supposed to have a balcony, but there were two balcony doors that overlooks the basement and the common area to me. A balcony means the second floor. That’s why it’s called a balcony or a higher floor… The bed was horribly uncomfortable with a big lump in the middle,

• Lucian (9/5): Charming & comfortable suite in San Antonio. - Very nice room, good location in San Antonio, wonderful hosts. A space heater would have been helpful to ward off the cold December evenings.
• Anonymous (3/5): Poor - Paid 100 USD for one night for the underground room. Damp smell and no ventilation. Not a pleasant experience. No hot water supply in faucet.

• Cathryn (10/5): I loved being there! The area was interesting and I would definitely stay there again. - I loved the pretty, quiet courtyard with a full kitchen. The hosts were very gracious and made sure I had what I needed. The room and bed were comfortable.
• Laurette (9/5): A short stay but the location in San Antonio was a good one not far from the market. - It was a cute space. Cozy and well decorated and had those little amenities you appreciate - like kleenex and water for drinking.
• John (8/5): A great place to stay in San Miguel de Allende. - Juan Jose, the owner of the suites, is a delightful man and always very warm, helpful and accommodating. Our suite was quite spacious, pleasingly furnished and well equipped. We appreciated very much the shaded common space outside our suite - where I worked at some times - and the additional cooking facilities available there. We also liked very much the area of San Antonio and the very good shopping and restaurants nearby. Buon Forno, the bakery at the bottom of road, turn left, very much appreciated. The only downside of the suites is that fellow guests in neighbouring suites, if they like talking very loudly at night, or in long conversations with Mum in England by Skype, early in the morning, can be a pain.
• Karen (4/5): The place well located but wouldn't stay again due to the water issues. - The location was great, only about a 15 to 20 minute walk to central. San Antonio. We had water issues, one day with no water and the last week we had no hot water several days. I had to take two cold showers which was not very pleasant. The owner was very nice when we lost water and let us know that due to the holiday he couldn't get a part. When we started having hot water issues he was less responsive and towards the end of our trip we didn't even bother him because we were so fed up with the issue.

• Paul (8/5): A pleasant place to stay in San Miguel de Allende - Suites Colibre is a small (4 units) hotel located in the San Antonio district of San Miguel de Allende. We stayed there a week. Our room was clean and serviced every day. The room itself was nice and large with a separate seating area stocked with tea, coffee, microwave, and fridge. One of the nice things about this place is the shared outdoor kitchen and dining room. It is ideal for families or couples who just don't want to eat out all the time. Big stove, fridge, plenty of pots and pans, and tables. There is also a small wading pool. It's about a 20 minute walk into downtown, but there are plenty of restaurants and coffee houses (Panini was our favorite) within 2-3 blocks. Tip: pay the extra few dollars for one of the upstairs units. They are actually at the level you enter the courtyard so they are sunny and feel large. The two lower units are actually in a sunken basement with no directly sunlight. The screen on one of the windows was slightly ripped so we had to close the window at night to keep the bugs out. Bells for the local church can be annoying, but that's Mexico.
