Guest Reviews
- Ilse (9/5): Tolle Lage ausserhalb Etosha mit sehr freundlichem Personal - Wunderschöner Garten, schöne Anlage, geräumige Zimmer, tolle Lage Betten nicht so bequem und quietschten
- Karsten (10/5): -

Gerne wieder.
- Charles (9/5): - The bbq was great plus the communal seating area. The garden was gorgeous! .
- Marie-Theres (8/5): - Außergewöhnlich gutes Abendessen/Buffet
Fast alles selbst hergestellt auf deren Farm!
Wirklich spitze!

- Uwe (10/5): We had a wonderful stay. - Wonderful location, wonderful staff. I recommend doing the farm drive as it’s not only highly interesting, but also helps to finance the conservancy.
- Guest (3/5): -
- Petr (7/5): - Krásná zahrada, vyjížďka za kočkovitými šelmami v areálu. Nefunkční bazén a Wifi.
- Dariusz (10/5): - Excellent dinner
- Lara (8/5): - It was very cozy and the staff was excellent. Even got a basket full with barbecue utensils for our self catering rooms.

- Brent (8/5): Great stay again and hot hot water fixed and moved one room after ac not work so all worked out great! Food expensive b - Another great stay.
- Jutta (8/5): Ideal für Fahrt zum Etosha Park - Gute Lage zum Etosha Park. Schöne Anlage mit vielen Pflanzen. Das Essen war hervorragend. Sehr freundliches Personal. Fütterung der Wildtiere war sehr interessant. Das Zimmer war etwas dunkel.

- Peter (7/5): - For us two Swiss Travellers, a suitable 3 B&B nights stay. Distance to Andersen Gate. ( 8km)
The simple Farm is located into a very safe place into a fenced guarded 24/24/7/365 . The Restaurant & Kitchen friendly Staff provides a tasty Evening Farm-Menus. Unfortunately the Swimming pool was closed during our stay 05. Nov 2025 -08. Nov 2025
- Roberta (9/5): Great place to stay not far from the Etosha Gates. - The owners have created an enviro-friendly oasis in the desert. Rooms are built around a beautiful water-wise garden and there’s a lovely pool to cool off in . The games drives were excellent, especially with Raymond, the Guide. The staff could not be nicer or more helpful— they add a lot to making one’s stay confirtable & memorable. The rooms are comfortable & clean too. I would definitely return. The food is very homey and tasty— but I would ask the staff to cut back the amount of sugar in vegetable dishes. This is not how many of us eat in these days of health-conscious eating.
- Dennis (8/5): -
- Sally (10/5): - EVERTHING WENT WELL
- Zarnik (7/5): - Udobna namestitev, dober zajtrk V bazenu ni bilo vode
- Kaspar (8/5): -
A 10 for the extremely friendly staff, a 10 for the lovingly designed grounds, a 10 for the beautiful and clean rooms, a 10 for the proximity to the park, but unfortunately there is a BUT...
Unfortunately, only a 2 for the attitude, helpfulness, and flexibility of the management. Yes, there is a buffet for dinner, but what if there is a child with you and travelers who cannot eat a hot meal in the evening for health reasons? You would expect them to be accommodating and also reduce the already high price of the buffet. But both were categorically rejected, with arguments that we did not understand. Maybe it's not so important for tour groups, but individual travelers are not really pampered here, so unfortunately only a 6 overall. The management's behavior almost ruined our vacation, which is a real shame ☹️
- Bernhard (9/5): Very good starting point with good value for money. - The business is run by truly local people. The meat is very delicious, freshly grilled, always two vegetables, and various salads (with sweet sauces). We swapped breakfast for takeaway boxes – these can also be ordered for picnics.
The location for visiting Etosha National Park is fantastic. It's best to arrive during opening hours. Multi-day passes are also available. We like salad, but the sweet sauces weren't our cup of tea.
A choice of two options for dessert would be ideal.
- Karen (9/5): - Staff exceptional and great food
- Rosalie (9/5): -
- Mira (10/5): -
- June (8/5): We had a great three days exploring Etosha from here and then returning back to our villa and the pool.very relaxing - Very nice unit with a bbq which the staff helped with. The property is beautiful and very close to Etosha. Staff are amazing.
- Gunhild (8/5): - Sehr gutes Abendessen.
- DAVID (8/5): Great place and would recommend if visiting Etosha as so convenient.if you do take the game drive even if self driving a - We’ll set out bungalows in a pretty and well maintained gardens. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. Raymond our guide was courteous and amusing company with an uncanny knack of spotting the big five whilst driving. Comfortable beds and linen. Not so keen on the food. Adequate but a little boring.
😂 Nichts
- Simone (10/5): - Tutto perfetto. Cibo super!
- Joos (9/5): -
- tobias (9/5): - Our stay at the lodge was absolutely perfect. The staff were amazing – always friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, and the location could not have been better. Falling asleep to the sound of lions roaring at night made it feel like a true safari experience.
The lodge’s own safari, especially with the wild cats, was fantastic, and the Etosha safari was just as incredible. The guides were outstanding – knowledgeable, passionate, and made the whole experience unforgettable.
We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended! The only small downside was that the owners were not very approachable. Apart from a short greeting, there was little interaction, which we found a bit unfortunate. A warmer welcome from them would have made the experience even more special.
- Andrea (6/5): -
- Nils (8/5): -
- Anette (6/5): Overpriced lodging - It is situated close to the Okaukeujo gate. Dinner is good local fare, although overpriced by South African standards. The gardens are pretty. It is overpriced for what you get. Although I sent an email to the lodge (2 days later I have still not had a response) about my booking which was a Comfort Triple room, we got a regular room, sans the coffee/tea machine as advertised and sofa bed. Don't expect any shower gel - bring your own.
Rusks are not replenished, and coffee is of the instant sort (definitely NOT what I expect of a lodge priced as a good 4-star South African hotel. You have to fetch tea bags yourself at the reception - not provided in the room.
The dinner was nice but not worth the R500 pp price tag. We opted not to eat dinner the second night because of the cost.
The rug on the floor is rather tired. The curtains are flimsy and let in too much light at night (irritating if you want darkness when you sleep).
Although we saw the owner a few times, there was never any interaction with guests.
All I can recommend of the place is the location.
- Claudio (7/5): Ottima posizione, qualità sufficiente venduta a caro prezzo.
Tour proposti a prezzi ridicoli. Camera troppo basic per il prezzo pagato. Rapporto qualità prezzo molto basso.
- Perveen (7/5): - Great location close to Etosha south gate. Good dinner and breakfast. Rooms were clean but rather basic.
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Location is near to the etosha gate Lion kept next to the lodge roar at night and wake us up few times
- Sara (7/5): Good - Room was comfortable and location only 10 minutes away from Etosha Anderson gate. Nice garden. Sympathetic personnel There was no door/wall separating the bathroom from the bedroom.
They keep wild animals captive and charge tourists to see them
- Juliet (8/5): Served its purpose as a base for exploring Etosha NP. - Close to National Park gates and lovely gardens throughout property. Great selection of food at the dinner buffet, even for vegetarians!
Staff friendly and helpful. Bathroom and toilet adjoined the bedroom (no door to separate), so absolutely no privacy. A poor design decision during construction. Bed was uncomfortable and creaked loudly when you turned in it.
- Emanuele (10/5): Absolutely recommend - Staff are great and ready for all our needs. Dinners and breakfasts were very very good quality, same as for facilities. Location is great, 5 mins from etosha’s South Gate.
- Michelle (8/5): A very convenient place to stay for Anderson Gate at Etosha - Very nice staff, great food and a beautiful garden. Great location for Anderson Gate, Etosha National Park. Technical difficulties that was out of control of the hotel owners/management. No hot water the first of three nights and the next night a power outage.
- Hugh (8/5): Very good - Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was good size. Gardens were impressive. Buffet meals in the evening and morning were tasty, varied and plentiful.
- Rita (10/5): Very comfortable stay. - Staff friendly, food amazing our room was big enough for our family...very comfy
- Daniel (9/5): We enjoyed the grounds as well as the accommodations - All good It was all great
- Emil (8/5): Very good - Very friendly personel. Fantastic food made from local ingredients. Can recommend the Eland steak. Very close to Etosha National Park. I paid for a room with wifi. But the only wifi working was at the reception.
- Harry (10/5): A wonderful place to stay on our first visit to Namibia. The farm is situated so close to Etosha. We would definitely re - The farm and lodge had a wonderfully peaceful feeling. The owners and the staff were superb and nothing was a problem for them. Easily accessible, and spotlessly clean. The accommodation was excellent with the local Namibian food superb.
- Chiraz (7/5): Good - close to the gate
nice activities around
rooms are big and clean.
nice bathroom pool wasn't clean to be used (at least I didn't feel at ease to do so)
not flexible (make sure to read how your reservation is made as they aren't going to change anything or try to find solution)
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carol (7/5): Room and facilities were adequate. Gardens were lovely and well maintained. -
- Adriaan (9/5): GREAT, would like to go back there soon!! - The food was excellent. People were very friendly. Location was great near Etosha. Private game drive was great. Bar staff and serving staff needs a bit training in client servicing.
- Lifeng (8/5): Enjoyful - Location , Dinner Mosquito
- Martina (5/5): Ok , but more for Local ‘s . - Clean , comfortable Room . Staff very distanced and only doing there Jobs . Food very Basic and typically Game Lodge Like .
- Adrian (9/5): Little oasis in the wilds. - Great lodge, good bar. Nice breakfast and dinner. Lovely rooms and setting. N/A
- Madhura (7/5): Comfortable stay, affordable - Great location fairly close to the Anderson gate of Etosha national park, comfortable rooms. We did an early morning safari game drive with them and it was excellent. Our guide was amazing and we got to see lions, a cheetah and elephants. The food was below par compared to the rest of our Namibian travel, but it wasn’t bad, just that other places were much better.
- John (8/5): Great spot to stay on way to Etosha. Food excellent. - Food was excellent. Nice clean big pool. Lovely garden. Friendly staff. Our room 6 had an odd smell. No hot water in the morning.
- Maka (10/5): Exceptional - Delicious food and beautiful garden. I especially liked the staff, they are very nice and helpful. If you are reading now, thank you very much once again for such a warm welcome!❤️
- Jurgen (5/5): Not a worth repeat visit at this point. - Bungalow concept well done Alterations carried out whilst guests trying to relax late late afternoon not good.
- Luis (7/5): Good - Dinner was good, as well as the location The room is outdated, the toilet clogged and there's no separate room for it
- Atbook (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hugh (10/5): An incredible stay - He friendlyness of management was exceptional. The place was a delight to stay at. I would not change anything. The food was outstanding and the relaxing atmosphere was something else. Very convenient if you wish to visit the park. Nothing
- Valerie (9/5): Great lodge only 6 miles from Etosha - The food and wine were excellent, the buffet style meals had lots of choice and obviously you could select just as much as you wanted. Second evening was a barbecue cooked over an open fire, which was great. Grounds very well kept and bed was comfortable. The location just outside Etosha and near the Trading Post was also convenient. The only drawback, as with many lodges, is that wi-fi is only available in restaurant/reception and even then can be patchy. However other places inside Etosha were just the same or worse, so this is not really a problem.
- Thorsten (9/5): top before entering / after leaving Etosha - Garden, Rooms, Food
- Yangtu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rainer (8/5): very much enjoyable -
- Joanna (9/5): Superb - The food was great. The flowers stunning. Very close to Etosha main gate. It was a bit strange to have no wall or doors between the sleeping area and toilet
- Dr (10/5): A Great Experience - Loved the property. It was super comfortable. It was great fun to talk with the owners and their tales of the region were very nice.
The property itself is done up very tastefully. They checked us in, smilingly, 2 hrs before the check-in time. The staff is very welcoming, courteous, responsive and friendly.
The meals were fabulous. Lovely dishes with a personal touch. My wife is a vegetarian and they made special efforts to cater something for her. The ambience of the evening dinner was excellent. The morning breakfast was more than one can ever have with a wide choice.
Amazing folks.
Location is very good. Recommend a 3 days stay to enjoy the property as well as Etosha National park, which is a 8 minutes drive away.
The lodge is very secure and covered car parking is available there. Nothing
- Brent (9/5): Great place, great food, beautiful, friendly staff, will return if in the area again! - Clean, friendly, beautiful grounds, great value for money. Food included which room amazing! Nothing it was great!
- Amanda (8/5): good location and beautiful garden - This was good value for the money, the garden was blooming when we were there, so beautiful. They had there own animals in caged areas around the hotel (we dont like that) so we didn't go on their tours and preferred to go into the national park instead which they helped us book a car and a guide at reception. Food was good and staff friendly. This is located very close to the andersson gate which is very convenient if you don't stay in the park but planning a safari trip into Etosha. We could hear the animals in the night roaring, which was a cool feeling. That the toilets/bathroom is in the same room as the bed where (there was a wall you didn't see directly inside). I personally prefer when you can close a door to a bathroom. The poolarea was not the most inviting.
- Alexandra (8/5): Would stay again - Good location to the Andersson gate. Good breakfast. Cheap drinks. They accommodated my stepdaughter's vegan diet well. Comfortable pillows. Not very soundproof, could hear the guy next door snoring and most of his movements.
- Janet (9/5): We found Eldorado lodge quirky and fun. We only spent one night there. - Close to Etosha which was important for us. The main reason for booking.
- Tansel (10/5): Nice but rooms need improvement - the environment, restaurant, foods were wonderful The toilets are in the same room that we sleep without a door. It is not meaningful for more than 1 person staying. And there is no mosquito net in the room windows that is why you cannot open the window to get fresh air.
