• Debra Sneddon (10/5): - We were upgraded to The Manor House which was a lovely bonus to the weekend. The Manor House is beautiful and the High Tea in the afternoon was a highlight. The breakfast selection and service was better in Cantina restaurant than in The Manor House

• Saras (7/5): Fancourt is a scenic environment,when the weather is great. - The staff at the breakfast were super amazing. The food was great and catered for all. The rooms were not cleaned during the mornings. It seems like resource management is not taking place. I had to notify them that the room was not cleaned.

The restaurants were also nice and the food was good and some of the staff were very friendly 😊 Sitting on our balcony in the evening with our child watching men take a pee in front of us wasn’t so pleasant.. :) the hotel rooms are really loud and you can hear everyone coming back to their rooms and golf carts pass by. I think it’s not so much of a family resort..

Welcome and staff very good, but as highlighted dining options not inspiring for my wife - Very comfortable and spacious rooms and well manicured golf course. Limited food options for gluten and lactose intolerant guests. General response was we have gf bread! Staff did make an effort . Some simple improvements would make a difference for example Stock soya / plant based yoghurt, gluten free cereals and lactose free ice cream.

• Joseph (8/5): Lovely location and facilities, but some areas of service not deserving 5 star. - Lovely location with mountain backdrop. Great apartments on a great golf resort. Great restaurant and food.service with view. Bar team very pleasant. Room service - despite repeated promises on way, nothing arrived - had to go to bar, 10 min walk, and get myself. Empty minibar, is that 5 star, and no comms as such. Other hotels asked me what I wanted in room. Reception - despite good handover from main gate to valet and reception - nothing organised and reception later clueless. Again too big a facility for personalised service. 10 hotels stayed at in 18 days, there were much better ones. Geared up for organised middle aged golf groups, not for couples for relaxed enjoyment. Sad after repeated visits, will try others next time.

• Neil (10/5): The perfect family holiday destination - Exception service, very clean - wonderful facilities - golf courses were perfect but in addition you can also play tennis and padel as well on great courts. A perfect family destination

• Riaan (4/5): Disappointed, hungry and poor sleep. - Comfie beds. Pretty gardens. Good breakfast. Food other than breakfast is downright awful and expensive. Tiny, overpriced portions. Poor quality ingredients poorly executed. Light floods into the rooms at 5 am. No blockout. If you are bot a golfer there is no reason whatsoever to stay here.

• sabine (6/5): Für mich kein 5 Sterne Hotel , sehr schade denn so ein Ort sollte doch eine gute Küche, mehr engagiertes Personal und ne - Schönes Zimmer , gute Betten eine großartige Vegetation und wunderschöne Golfplätze Die Restaurants, mäßiges Essen, mäßige Bedienung, ungewöhnlich für Südafrika. Die Räumlichkeiten des Hotels , bis auf das Monet hatte nichts mit einem 5 Sterne Haus zu tun . Wirklich schlecht ist der Frühstücksraum im La Cantina, dunkel und der draußen Bereich wirklich schrecklich. Die ganze Anlage besticht durch die Blumen und die Ausblicke. Als Hotelgast genießt man diese beim Frühstück gar nicht siehe Fotos .

• Friedrich (8/5): Management attention lacking to ensure standards are met. - This hotel is focused on golf. I was disappointed with the general condition of the gardens, for example, dead and wilted arum lilies at main reception entrance, poor condition of the flora such as roses and dead branches hanging from trees not removed. The parking is far removed from the actual hotel and the golf shuttle service does not work when checking out. You are left transporting your luggage from your room to the car park and in our case it was raining! At the restaurants there appears to be a lack of management oversight. Although food/beverages were ordered our order never arrived and we departed after waiting. Overall attention to detail and training of staff is lacking for a 5 star hotel.

The food was relatively good with some stands outs at dinner and the overall service, responsiveness and thoughtfulness was amazing as it was my partner’s birthday weekend. Highly recommend! Shinju Restaurant - overall it was quite disappointing and underwhelming. I would really rethink it as the concept is great but the execution here was not very good.

Rest we very cold culture. Restaurant no atmosphere at all, good poor! Yoy get the feeling you are in the usa instead of africa. Its all quite old. There is no soul in the place. If you wanna go golfing amd eat a burger its fine!

• humaid (10/5): مكان اقامة راقي مريح يغنيك عن الخروج بسبب كثرة الفعاليات المتوفرة و المجانية ، افصل نفسك عن العالم - منتجع فاخر من الآخر أنصح بالاقامة فيه للعوائل ، يوفر باقة متنوعة من الأنشطة المجانية ، المكان عبارة عن منتجع و ملاعب غولف و مجموعة راقية من الفلل الكبيرة و الأجنحة الفندقية هنا تشكل فلل منفصلة من طابقين ، السويتات كبيرة جدا ، الفندق يقدر جدا وجود العوائل و يسعى لتوفير سكن واقامة مريحة للصغار و الكبار ، يوجد منطقة ترفيهية مجانية للنزلاء عبارة عن مسبح مفتوح للكبار و مسبح مغطى للصغار و سينما مصغرة و تأجير دراجات هوائية مجانية و منطقة لعب ، المنطقة تحوي مساحات خضراء و بحيرات عبارة عن تغذية بصرية ، و في الموقع خمس مطاعم متنوعة ، تناولنا طعام الافطار في المطعم الفرنسي و كان الستاف قمة في الاحترام ، أكثر ما لفتني هو تقدير المسلمين و تخصيص سكشن خاص حلال لطعام الافطار ، بادرة يشكرون عليها. ملاعب كرة و كرة سلة و التنقل بين المرافق بالغولف كارت. كل شيء أعجبني

• Lay (8/5): Good - The location, the vibe, the serenity The water was cold for 2 days which is half of my stay, also for room service my family were informed after placing an in room dining to come pick up the dinner when it was ready which was no acceptable, as they were told no staff is available to bring the food, but were my family members supposed to walk until there? anyways the problem was solved after they had to argue and be upset about that, thats when the whole staff showed for fixing the water and bringing the food. I booked the place for them based on a previous experience in 2023 where my experience was very smooth but unfortunately they didn’t have the same experience

I appreciate that golfers are fit and that my room was only on the first floor but they were an issue for me. But that is a very personal issue and should mot be seen as a criticism of the hotel.

Every staff member was welcoming and thoroughly professional and our luxurious suite was one of the most enjoyable experiences that we have ever experienced in the Western Cape. Thank you for considering our request for a quietly located suite.. Truly nothing at all..

The Main Restaurant- where breakfast is served is quite good. Their dinner options there are quite diverse Not much of an issue, but sometimes when the Golf crowds come through, it can be noisy in the restaurant.
