Guest Reviews
- Margaret (8/5): We enjoyed the cottage. But if coming to Donegal for the Rally ...stay a bit closer to the action !! - House was comfortable and Tracey, our host, was great. The location of the cottage was very, very remote. A beautiful location but difficult to find.
- Boland (7/5): Good -
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - Great location . Welcome pack was much appreciated . House was clean and cosy!
- Niall (10/5): Comfortable property in a beautiful location - Stunning location with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and islands.
Go Raibh Maith Agat! The weather but sure it’s the west of Ireland!
- Prabhanjan (10/5): Happy to recommend. - Very comforting host and a very nice house. Location is as good as it can be. Very happy and highly recommended. Very economical as well.
- Fidelma (9/5): Superb -
- Derek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional - The peace and quiet, gulping in the fresh air.
The views from the house both front and back are amazing, sheep as neighbours.
Property owners were lovely, we had a power cut during storms on the first night and within minutes I had a message telling where a torch was. Small step up to kitchen and bathroom, my mum had mobility issues due to double hip replacement and kept hall light on overnight to avoid a fall, maybe take an led nightlight if you're in a similar situation.
- Cathy (10/5): Exceptional - Location
welcome pack
Accommodation Nothing
- Monika (9/5): Pleasant, well equipped cottage in beautiful surroundings - Nice cottage in a rural, quiet area, with distant views of the sea from three of the four rooms. Spacious, well-equipped kitchen. When we arrived, there was a cozy fire burning in the stove in the living room, adding to the atmosphere. The area is very quiet and peaceful, with sheep grazing on the surrounding fields (the kids loved this and went out to watch them). Everything is really clean. The hosts left instructions on how to use the apartment. The house has central heating which works well (and you are likely to need it even in the summer months…).
We would be happy to stay again if we travel to this area in the future. To be fair, everything was really nice, if I really want to be nit-picking:
- The cooking dishes in the kitchen were scratched and had wooden handles, which makes them non dishwasher friendly.
Not connected to the property, but we had a very unpleasant encounter when trying to go down to the beach - a woman was camping in the area where we wanted to leave our car, and wouldn’t rein in her dogs. Maybe the owners, being locals, could provide some suggestions to future guests on where best to go down to the sea so you don’t accidentally end up in what appears to be an illegal caravan park.
- Nuala (9/5): Superb -
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cottage in very peaceful setting, surrounded by sheep with fantastic views out over the coast - highly recommend! Nothing
- Amcc (10/5): Nice 2 days in a perfect base to stay. - Cosy old Irish farm Cottage with peats burning on stove. Good welcome pack from owners who checked in by message if we needed anything etc. Clean and tidy. Perfect for families. N/A

- Margaret (10/5): GREAT COTTAGE IN A BEAUTIFUL LOCATION - Had a great break in this cottage with my sisters and elderly mother .We all loved the cottage. Location was great. Views were amazing and hosts were so friendly and kind and they left a lovely welcome pack. Everything was lovely and clean and all the beds were very comfortable. There was everything in the cottage for a self catering stay and shops are only a short drive away. We can't wait to return.
- Hamish (9/5): A great 5 night stay in a beautiful relaxing location in lovely surroundings - with a friendly host! - Lovely traditional farm cottage with turf burning fire and central heating, washing machine , dishwasher & large fridge/ freezer. Very spacious for 2 - another bedroom we didn’t use! Milk bread tea etc & toiletries were provided. Fantastic views out over the estuary with sheep pastures all around. A great location for day trips around Donegal and the Wild Atlantic Way to see a diverse range of scenery. Everything was good!
- Patricia (10/5): Perfect cottage in a peaceful area - The location was perfect with sea views and Mountain View’s Nothing
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - Was a brilliant stay! Couldn't have asked for better. Tracey and Patrick had the cottage warm, and had given essentials like bread, tea, coffee, milk, shampoo, butter, jams etc there waiting. Beautiful part of Donegal, travelled somewhere different every day. Shops nearby. Set in a small farm ( sheep were waiting for their lambs to be born) and a beautiful view to the ocean. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Tracey couldn't do enough for our comfort. We loved it and would give it an 11 if we could! Nil
- Sinead (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paddy (10/5): Exceptional - The location. Fantastic spot. V well looked after by the owners Tracey and Patrick. Will definitely be back Nothing
- Elaine (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely cottage, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Owner very thoughtful and helpful and loved the peat burner - perfect for our October break.
- Michael (9/5): A lovely cottage to relax and unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of Donegal. - Thee was a turf fire lt on our arrival which was lovely. Milk bread ,tea and coffee was provided ( Thank You ) and everything we needed was there. The location is superb. Very quiet and peaceful just some sheep and deer for neighbours.
We had to return to collect a bag that we had left behind and were offered the use of the cottage for another night due to it being late.
Tracey (owner ) and her sister went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay in Biddys cottage It was a bit difficult to initially find the cottage as it was getting dark as we were arriving. It might be helpful to have a signpost off the road. Instuctions for using the wod burning stove may be helpful too as we were not sure whether to leave the door open or closed once the fire was lit.
- Gerard (10/5): Lovely cottage in a beautiful location - peaceful and remote but not isolated - the place was great. A short drive to shops (Gallagher's, Molloy's) and restaurants (Teach Jack's). The cottage was better than the pictures, the scenery and setting was beautiful, Tracey was a great host and the wi-fi did the job. Beautiful base to explore Donegal from.
- Keith (9/5): very happy with our stay . it was great and i know the area well - location was very good and the property was excellent wifi if possible as the code did not appear to work
- Teresa (9/5): Great facilities in lovely location. - The stove that provided a nice turf fire in the evenings, the comfortable beds.
- Katherine (10/5): A home from home - The whole cottage was perfect. A traditional Irish cottage modernised without losing its old world charm. Peaceful location close enough to all the locations on our wish list. The hosts had a warm fire lighting to greet us on arrival.
- Jennifer (10/5): Relaxation - The cottage was spotless, Tracey had provided all the essentials and more... enjoyed the hotcross buns! A great place to relax and get away from it all.
