Guest Reviews
- Enikő (7/5): -
- geneeskunde (10/5): Voortreffelijk ! - Centrale ligging, leuke authentieke binnenplaatsje en de luxe van het appartement Niets, alles was ok
- Yehor (8/5): - Czyste i dobrze wyposażone apartamenty Było dość zimno i mało gorącej wody, trzeba chwilę poczekać.
- Peter (8/5): Very good location with a responsive owner - The apartment has everything a solo traveller or a couple would need for staying for a week or two in Budapest. It's made up of a bedroom, bathroom/toilet, and kitchen with a dining table and chairs in the corner and on the ground floor unit on a quiet side street about 5 minutes on foot from "Semmelweis Klinikák" subway station. This location makes getting around the city quite easy.
The windows face an inner courtyard so it's not flooded by natural light during the day, and of course you can maintain privacy / darkness by closing the curtains and pulling down the outdoor blinds.
Getting groceries and other household goods is very easy since there's a "diszkont" (something like a dollar store or general store) around the corner plus an outlet of each of Aldi, Spar, and Lidl about 10 minutes away on foot from the apartment.
There's no regular oven, but there's an induction stovetop (two elements), microwave oven, kettle, mini fridge with a small freezer, cookware, cutlery and flatware, and a washing machine.
Wifi strength was good but the TV didn't work. During my stay, I found out that none of the pots had a lid so I had to pay out of pocket to get a new pot with a lid from a local store. That was annoying but not a deal-breaker, and I really needed it to make myself some pilaf.
Because I stayed during the late summer, it was comfortable enough inside so that I didn't need to use the air conditioner.
The following wasn't a negative for me but any prospective guest should note that the floor in the kitchen and bathroom is made of smooth tiles. During the winter, these might be too cold for someone who likes to go barefoot at home, so it'd be good to wear socks or slipper indoors if a cold floor would be a problem (this isn't the case for me).
- MónikaZeliza (9/5): - The design and equipment perfectly met my needs. It was very easy to find, the description was perfect. Barbara is a fantastic host. It was very close to where I went for my course. Everything I need is within walking distance, cafe, bakery, restaurants, public transport. There was a Christmas market in the nearby park, it was very festive. The apartment was quiet, I slept well. I definitely coming back. I'm not writing this as a criticism, but rather to help. It had a slightly musty, moldy smell. I saw mold in several places, on the bathroom window and in the cabinet under the sink. It can be dangerous for those with asthma. The apartment was a bit chilly in the winter, even with the heater on, luckily I found an extra blanket. I wanted to drink coffee, but the cream was spoiled, the expiration date had expired. The sweetener had unfortunately condensed in the box due to the moisture. It would be worth replacing these regularly.
:) Everything else was good.
- Monica (8/5): Very good - A fairly modern apartment located close to supermarkets and eateries. A good size and easy check in.
