• Joël (4/5): Séjour ne correspondait pas aux attentes. - Proximité de la gare, environnement calme la nuit. - Accueil pas digne d'un hôtel trois étoiles. La priorité semble être donnée au restaurant et non (plus) à l'hôtel. - Pas de petit-déjeuner contrairement à ce qui était indiqué dans la confirmation Booking "Le petit-déjeuner est compris dans le montant total". Il n'y avait qu'un minimum dans la chambre (biscottes, confiture, biscuits industriels). - Pas de check-out en bonne et due forme - Aménagement de la chambre pas digne d'un hôtel trois étoiles mais salle de bain en ordre à quelques détails près.
• Castellaro (10/5): Luogo tranquillo ed ospitale lontano dal caos ma nello stesso tempo vicino al centro - La posizione tranquilla, la vicinanza alla stazione dei treni e al centro, la pulizia delle stanze. Devo dire che mi ha soddisfatto in pieno. Non trovo lacune. C'è addirittura la possibilità di cenare in un ambiente familiare e tranquillo.

Dopo aver telefonato ci viene comunicato che ci avrebbero aperto il portone da remoto, e che le chiavi erano già nelle camere. Suggerirei di specificare meglio la procedura con un avviso prima del check in

• Antomarro (7/5): Così così..... - La posizione è molto comoda, vicina alla Stazione ed al centro. Pur non disponendo di un proprio parcheggio, il posto in strada si trova abbastanza facilmente e gratuitamente A parte la camera molto classica, la stessa non era molto calda. Siamo stati 2 giorni, il secondo giorno non ci è sembrato fosse stata fatta la pulizia, ma solo cambiati gli asciugamani. La colazione migliorabile.

• Dominique (7/5): Bonne étape - La situation géographique vers ou au retour d'Italie, à proximité de l'autoroute, accès facile dans Verceil - quelques endroits dans la rue pour garer la voiture - restaurant sur place, à la carte, excellent - petit déjeuner varié - chambre un peu vieillotte mais confortable et très tranquille - très bonne literie Il Giardinetto est principalement un restaurant avec quelques chambres à l'étage d'une ancienne maison, comme décrit dans Internet- pas vraiment un hotel classique mais très pratique pour un diner gourmand et une nuit sur place - l'accès par l'escalier vers le premier étage pas très aisé - Wifi parfait au rdc mais pas stable au premier étage

• Angelika (7/5): Ok für eine Nacht - Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich. Das Badezimmer wurde renoviert. Der Kaffee morgens ist super. Die Möbel im Zimmer sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen und passen überhaupt nicht zum super schönen Restaurant. Das Frühstück war sehr einfach gehalten. Das ganze Haus ist extrem ringhörig.

• Pierre (8/5): Sur la Via Francigena - L'hôtel est proche de la gare et du centre ville dans une rue assez calme. Le petit-déjeuner est excellent et le restaurant propose une cuisine de qualité. Le personnel est particulièrement serviable, souriant, accueillant. Le WIFI ne passait pas dans notre chambre, mais on pouvait l'utiliser dans le salon vers l'accueil, endroit assez confortable.

• Girault (8/5): Bon rapport qualité prix et à proximité du centre historique de Vercelli et de la gare. - Salle de bains propre. Petit déjeuner correcte. Bon restaurant sur place. Il n'y avaient pas de serviettes en papier pur le petit déjeuner. Le miroir dans la chambre était poussiéreux.
• Gaël (8/5): Merci beaucoup pour votre accueil ! - La qualité de l'accueil, le charme de cet hôtel et les attentions (petit déj dans le jardin, preparation d'œufs alors que l'hôtel ne met aucune protéine pour le matin) Un grand Merci ! Le petit déjeuner vraiment trop sucré. Pas de protéines et très peu de céréales mais bien pour les fruits !

In camera la TV non ha funzionato, mancava una tendina, il letto non è stato rifatto e la luce nel corridoio delle stanze era guasta. E' un albergo un po' "fai da te": all'arrivo check-in autogestito, in quanto non era presente nessuno dello staff, entrate e uscite dall'hotel, anche qui, in solitaria.
• Jeanne (10/5): Perfect. - This is a lovely little hotel with the most friendly and helpful staff. We had dinner in the restaurant which was wonderful. A traditional breakfast was served in a lovely little room with wonderful coffee and pastries. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Nothing.

• Simon (8/5): Comfortable hotel with excellent restaurant in a beautiful historic city. - Charming family-run hotel in good, quiet location, 10 minutes walk from the historic centre. The room was comfortable with a good shower. The restaurant is exceptional. Parking is free on the street outside, and we managed to find a space very close the the hotel. When we arrived, there was a note on the door with phone numbers, and other guests already on the phone. Someone arrived 25 minutes later to open up, saying she had been stuck in traffic. When you have made a reservation, you expect to be able to check-in on arrival. We were glad it wasn’t raining. If the hotel has a policy of being closed until (say) 17.00 (it is a small hotel with only a few rooms) this should be made clear in the details.

• Manfred (7/5): Good - The reception opens only at 17:30. This was not communicated by booking.com. It is also not written on the entrance door. There are two phone numbers written, but at none of these anyone picked up the phone. I was close to look for another hotel, as I thought this one is closed. More disturbing was the service at the restaurant. I ordered a wine from the very extended wine list. The waiter came and without showing the bottle he started to open a different one. When I complained that this is not the wine I have ordered, he noted shortly that the other one is not available. The wine, although much younger was fine. However, at the end I was charged the much more expensive wine originally ordered.

• Girl (2/5): We did not enjoy our stay and will not be returning - We chose the hotel because of the photographs of the garden and the description of the restaurant. The impression is given that hotel guests will have access to the garden and the bar. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed for the whole of our 2-day stay and access to the garden and the bar were also closed. The bathroom of our room was newly renovated and was good. Breakfast was basic but of the 2 mornings we were there, there was a home-made tart. Other than that, there was small biscuits, some fruit and cornflakes, tea or coffee and bought in cornetti. Nothing special. We were allowed to sit in the garden in morning, but were rather rudely asked to leave as they had to lock up and leave to get their lunch. After that, the garden was again closed to hotel guests. If you just want to stay the night and then leave first thing the next morning, then maybe this would work for you. It didn't work for us! The hotel knew that and didn't care. The attitude of the staff/owner was very poor. We had booked a table at the restaurant and when we confirmed out booking on arrival, we were casually told that they had had a busy lunchtime and therefore were not opening the restaurant that evening. No apology. We asked for recommendations for other places to eat and were told, just look around there are plenty. We went out and when we returned later that afternoon, the bar, restaurant and garden were all locked up and there were no staff on the premises at all. We felt that we ought to have been told in advance that the restaurant was not going to be open and given the opportunity to cancel our booking for the hotel. It also ought to be explained that the facilities shown in the photographs apply to the restaurant NOT the hotel. The bedroom was dark and shabby, very dour. Other public areas for the hotel customers, likewise. The room had aircon and a TV but no tea or coffee making facilities and as the bar was shut most of the time we were there, there was nothing to drink other than water. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. It is billed as a hotel-restaurant but the restaurant is the main enterprise, and the hotel is an extra which is neglected, and the customers are not treated well. There were no hotel staff on the premises after midday during our visit. The WIFI only works well in the parts of the establishment used by the restaurant, so not the hotel room and not the breakfast room. It is true that it is family run, but the family were not well versed in customer care. I feel that the posting on booking.com is somewhat misleading, hence the very low mark given.
