• traveler08 (10/5): - The hosts went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable during my stay and I really appreciated that. The room itself is exactly like the photos. It's very clean and contains the basics. Laundry can be done onsite for a small price. The WiFi is strong enough for video calls. I walked to Thamel sometimes and it took around half an hour. I was also able to book an inDrive for a reasonable rate. Overall, very kind hosts and a great stay!

Saranno cordiali ma mai invadenti, vi aiuteranno ogni volta che ne avrete bisogno facendovi sentire davvero a casa. Noi siamo rimaste bloccate in Nepal a causa della crisi internazionale e ci hanno aiutato accolto e supportato in ogni modo. Il quartiere poi è molto tranquillo e vivitelo un po': troverete negozi e ristoranti molto convenientli ed avrete la fortuna di assaporare un po' di vita nepalese autentica. Very relaxing and quiet area, not far from Thamel. If you want go to Patan or Baktapur is walking distance to main road. Next time I come Kathmandu I will stay in Peace Homestay. Thank you for help with taxi, luggage and bag. I hope I will come next year.

• EdgarCruz (10/5): - The place is very quiet and clean. It's possible to cook and also keep your luggage if you plan to do some trekking. The best of all is the wonderful family who take really good care of the place and it's always ready to help.
• MasterJin (10/5): great value, great experience. - peaceful and quiet neighborhood, cheap restaurants around the house, very friendly staffs and well-lit room. No. 23 bus take you to city center, or otherwise easily accessible by motobike and taxi. just FYI - it's in a beautiful residential area, if you call a taxi expect to wait for a few mins bcoz of the narrow alley, the car needs some time to get in :)

• David (10/5): great - I didn't want to stay at Thamel so I chose Peace Homestay for a more authentic experience and cheaper prices for food, and I was happy with this choice. This homestay is family-run and I found a kind-hearted attitude there. The room was plain but I had everything I needed, and everything was quite new in it. There were NO bed bugs in the room. The bathroom was new, big enough, clean. Generally, the place is new and well-maintained. The area is safe and free of scammers. Many momo places near the homestay (100 rupees for a portion), almost every shop sells paneer (cheese-like product) and live yogurt (100 rupees for 0.5 kg or cheaper if in a plastic bag) - just ask, they have fridges. Loved the intersection Samarpan Marg and Janajagriti Marg - a fruits-and-veggies store there and a bakery with good European-like bread. Near the Ring Road, there is a decent hypermarket-like store, Bhat-Bhateni Super Store Balaju. I didn't install a taxi app but normally went down to the Ring Road (10 min walk) and offered 150 rupees (1.1$) to a motorbike taxi for a trip to Dallu Tapintaa Bridge near the Durbar area. -

If you prefer to stay in a clean and quiet manner, you should choose this homestay. There is nthng to be say I dnt like...I liked n loved everything while staying. .

The atmosphere in the local neighbourhood is more like a village - even though it is a part of the city. it's a good jumping off point for long-distance travel - those buses stop for pick-up only a short walk away.

Nir and his wife are amazing hosts and will make you feel at home. The place has a good mixture of Privacy in your room, with the opportunity to interact with the hosts and other guests. Highly recommend!

• Richard (10/5): A very comfortable stay in a local area, where Nir and his family will make you feel like you have another home in Kathm - This is an incredible place to stay! I have been fortunate to travel to many places over the years and this is one of the most genuine experiences I have had. It is based in a local area, a lot more calm than busy Thamel and gives you more insight into how local people in Kathmandu live. You can walk into Thamel or can get a taxi/bike easily with the inDrive app. The rooms are comfortable, there is very good wifi and there is an incredible view from the rooftop. Nir and his family will really look after you, but at the same time give you as much space as you need to do your own thing. They will make it feel like your home where you can relax and whatever you do, try their meals in their kitchen…..you will not regret it! I thoroughly recommend a stay at peace homestay. Nothing!

The house is really clean and spacious. The location of the house is outside the tourist quarter in Thamel, which is nice, with plenty cafes, little shops, fruit market etc. 20 min by foot to get to Swoyambhu, you need to cross the Ring Road which is an adventure itself. I highly recommend that accommodation. 🌿

Very convenient location, close to most important places on foot, close to the bus stop, nearby taxi. There is everything necessary in the area, an ATM, a vegetable and fruit market, a meat market, and grocery stores. If you go a little higher or from the terrace, there are very nice views of the surrounding area. I highly recommend this place to people who want to get a taste of real everyday life there. • Jessica (10/5): Lovely family's homestay! - Nir and his wife are very kind, lovely and helpful people. We enjoyed staying at their homestay and we had everything we needed. The room was cozy and quite, bed comfy and the bathroom clean. I think I had the best night's sleep here in many months of travelling. It is a little outside the city centre, but we didn't mind walking through the nice neighbourhood everyday at all. We would definitely stay here again! P.s. check out the rooftop, there's an amazing view over the city.

• Clovis (10/5): Awesome homestay in Kathmandu! - The hosts were exceptionally nice, the homestay set up allows for a more family-style and local experience, a little bit outside of the main tourist spots like Thamel, but still well situated, the price point was excellent. We had a great stay :) Nothing. To be clear, this is a homestay so it is not for the travelers looking for a luxury experience, that said the house was very nice, and had all the necessary comforts. The hosts were were helpful.

• Stacia (10/5): You won't find a better place to stay. Get to know Nepal, stay in Peace Homestay - At the beginning I got scared of the constitution going on here. Right in front of my balcony. The room I had was on the third floor. I was tired from a rather long and disappointing trip. So the owner, Chamelee, told me that if I didn't like it I could change the place of my location (meaning check-out). I was surprised but said let's see. So I slept like a baby. And only in the evening did I realize the place is extremely clean. (After India I see everything differently now 😉). This place is new. The family cleans the place all the time. All the floors. My room was small but so cozy and comfy. The bed was a bit hard, but it's so good for my back. I had good night sleeps. The construction was quiet and I sleep with ear plugs. So it was great. The food Chamelee cooks is oooooh my ooooh my.. I love it so much. The price is great too. The location is a bit far from the main places you'd like to see, and sometimes the indrive taxi drivers didn't know how to find the place. I truly love this kind family. So caring and helpful. The cleanliness is on top. And it's pretty important, I suppose. I was happy staying there. The fam allowed me to check out later (with no fee, can you imagine?) and then they helped me with the bag and taxi. Kind, kind people. My Nepal experience is positive thanks to this place. No lying 💜 thank you once again, and I wish you prosperity and lots of good people from around the world. That Nepal (as a country) is dirty 😢 that's the only con I can say, but the place is flawless.

The area is calm and quiet, there are many good cafes in the area. Feel free to bring it, you won’t regret it!

The location is in a quieter more nepalese residential area than the tourist centre of Thamel. It is a fair walk into Thamel but you can get most places in the city using INDRIVE (the local version of GRAB/UBER) for not much more than US$ 1. There’s nothing that I personally need to change

From the moment I arrived, Nir greeted me with warm hospitality and made me feel right at home. Experience - I had a wonderful time during my stay with Nit and Chamelee.Stepping into the third month in Nepal, I was looking for something less crowded than the tourist area, yet still easy to get around and not too far from the city center. Peace Homestay checked all the boxes.As I am also working, Nir offered to provide a table and chair for me to be able to work from inside my room.I also enjoyed the breakfast and dinner experience; it felt like home.I definitely recommend everyone to stay there while in Kathmandu.

Bed was cozy and quite spacious. Also Wi-Fi connection was really good. Every evening, we joined for the home-cooked dinner. It was just so delicious! We liked it so much here that we decided to stay again here on our last days in Nepal.
