Guest Reviews
- simone (9/5): - Abitazione perfetta per visitare la costiera. Proprietari gentilissimi. Torneremo sicuramente.
- James (10/5): - This place is fantastic, the host is great and the neighbours are very welcoming. We arrived on Easter Sunday and the nearby shop was closed. The neighbours provided us with bottles of water a cooked dish and even a bottle of home grown wine. Would love to return some day. The jacuzzi is just the best. Nothing really, just the walk up the hill that we only did once.

- Glenn (6/5): - Stayed in this 2 bedroom appartment towards the end of a 23 night touring holiday of Italy... its on the ground floor of one of the family homes in a larger complex of properties all occupied by family members. The family are friendly, especially the children who were all really polite & chatty. It's a large apartment on very busy road with nice outside space with a small, inexpensive supermarket next door. Train station in Vico Equense gets you to Naples/Pompeii/Sorrento for €1.50. Hot tub is a nice touch as was the gift of limoncello. Unfortunately the noise mentioned by other guests means this isn't somewhere to stay if you are looking for a peaceful getaway... it has to be noted your on the start of the Amalfi Coast & the road leading upto the appartment (and beyond if you dare to turn right out of the gates) is steep with very sharp bends... and every vehicle that goes up or down beeps to let other road users know they're coming. You can't hear this in the appartment with the doors & windows closed & the road isn't busy at night...but if you want to lounge on the veranda, or open a bathroom window, take ear plugs. Being the ground floor of a family home, you hear a lot of noise from the appartment above.. washing machine, drawers slamming, conversations etc...you are staying in their home & they rise early & make no allowances for paying guests being there. The path behind the appartment circumvents the busy steep road...takes about 12 minutes to walk down hill if youre fit, but it's steep, we live in the peak district & are used to hills...but this is really steep. Walking back up is serious hard work on the knees, so if you have a child in a buggy or mobility issues, this isn't a walk for you. There is a bus stop outside the property but no bus timetable. We tried to get a taxi back from the train station twice of an evening but to no avail. Our October stay saw temperatures drop at night & tbh we were cold, there are blankets & an eiderdown but unfortunately the eiderdown was covered in stains. The kitchen is well equipped & the water & fruit appreciated, however the extractor fan/ hood over the oven was filthy, the first night we cooked, muck fell from it when it was turned on. We had no hot water the first evening or following morning... a quick message to the owner, who advised a problem with the boiler & it was sorted quickly.

- Paul (10/5): Amazing … we would love to visit again. Thank you Carmela and family - This beautiful spacious house is in the heart of a family unit. Friendly and extremely welcoming. The hosts are helpful and kind. Staying on the ground floor but still retaining privacy. The house is very clean and has everything you need. The jacuzzi is amazing!!! There is also a great supermarket next door which is very reasonably priced and very convenient. The walk into town takes about 10 minutes where there are nice restaurants with at the right time a beautiful sunset on the way down. The hill back up is a little tough on the legs but there are buses and the bus stop is outside the house. The train to all the iconic places like Sorrento, Pompei and Naples is easy and a short walk. Also just a few euros each way and running frequently. Vico Equence itself is very pretty and the perfect location to explore the sights. A little noisy with the passing traffic but didn’t bother us and inside the house you cannot hear it.
- Aitor (10/5): - La familia que vive cerca es muy acogedora y la dueña nos ayudó con muchos consejos. El pueblo que se encuentra a 10-15 minutos andando es muy bonito y con mucho ambiente.
- Nani (10/5): - Perfect place and lovely people ❤️
- lorenzo (10/5): Nice house, easy access to anything, awsome people. - Awsome stay at Coppola’s. Those people took so much care of us during our stay.
- Marta (1/5): Bad -
- Cheryl (10/5): Amazing truly loved the place and was even more amazed by the hosts - It has absolutely everything you need to cook a nice meal, Carmela and her family are by far the best hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure to deal with
Amazing from start to finish Only one small aspect that would of been helpful so as to not message all the time would be an info folder giving train and bus times and where local restaurants and bars are
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Senior (2/5): Disappointing - Elianna was so nice and helpful and brought us a cake wine and other home made products when we arrived. She even drove us into the town to try and buy some basics as the shop was closed as it was a Sunday.
I believe the owner contacted Eliana when we needed something which she promptly attended to.
The shop next door was a godsend as were the two bus stops outside the property. Particularly as the locstion was so isolated. No hot water on several occasions, mostly tepid at best. We had to contact the owner to reset it each time which caused us much inconvenience but she did respond immediately.
We had to ask for towels to be changed rather than done automatically every 3 days as was the arrangement . We were there for two weeks and the bed sheets weren't changed at all.
We bought cleaning products ourselves and had to ask for a mop and bucket to keep the place clean which was promptly brought to us by Elianna .
The noise from above our accommodation was very annoying and loud with often woke us up early in the morning and sometimes was pretty loud in the evenings too. Sounded like children running up and down or on scooters and playing football .
The double bed and pillows were unbelievably uncomfortable !!
This accommodation is in a very isolated location albeit a beautiful area .
The bus stop is right outside the property but only runs once an hour which takes you onto the town where the train station is located .
You need a car or scooter to get about but quite frankly you take your life in your hands if you do! Even walking to town is treacherous as no pavements to walk on or perhaps the odd few.
- Erik (10/5): Wow! I recommand strongly - Everything! The people, the place, the jacuzzi, the feelings. It was perfect in everything! Thanks thanks thanks! Everything was perfect
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Korodi (10/5): Exceptional - Very spacious house located on a hill, it has a beautiful garden with a jacuzzi which is ideal at the end of the day to cool down. Supermercato just next door, really useful, and has a great selection of cheese and meat. The town Vico Equense in my opinion is an almost perfect base for exploring the coast if you dont mind using public transportation. Recommend Garden little bit noise, didn't bother us
- Kate (9/5): Superb -
- Ikram (8/5): Very good - Only 1 ac in one room and other room was only fan and it was really hot weather
- Tomas (9/5): Superb - Everything was great. Spacious apartments, beautiful garden with jakuzzi. Poor internet.
- Sarah (8/5): Had a lovely stay. The accommodation is spotless. We were a little out of the way but once we found our bearings had a t - Exceptionally clean
Jacuzzi is a lovely addition in the heat
Beds comfortable
supermarket next door is a life saver!
- Annelize (6/5): sadly not what was advertised - jacuzzi was fun. My teenage girls loved the Changing lights in the shower when property says air conditioned you would expect the main living room to have it. only the master Bedroom had air con. also there is a fire place in living area and a strong smell of ash was overwhelming at times. the sofa bed had a very thin mattress as well. also not pleasant to be woken up at 6.30 every morning by loud leaf blower.
