Liu (9/5): Beautiful quiet comfortable home stay with a friendly helpful host, on the outskirts of town. - The host was very helpful & accommodating- speaks Italian and Spanish. Her place is very comfortable and feels homey but professional. Has all the facilities needed. It's a quiet farm stay, on the outskirts of town. We used this as a base to go to the Saturnia hot pools, takes about 15-20 mins on a windy road. The only problem I had was being unable to figure out how to light the gas stove. They could use some instructions because there are some peculiarities in getting it lit.
Tamar (9/5): Superb - Photos are exactly what you get. Nice little house is rural settings, 4 minutes drive from Manciano, and 20 minutes from Saturnia Thermals. Very nice and accommodating host. The house is near the host's house, and the host was always available, while allowed for total privacy. Manciano is a great little town with many cafe's and restaurants, as well as a supermarket and many shops. Lovely base to explore the area and enjoy the hot springs. Kitchen has absolutely no provisions. It would have been nice to have some basics as salt, oil, maybe coffee and tea. Internet in the evening was simply not accessible. You were connected but there was no internet (it happened to us before in another property in Manciano - it might be the quality of contracted service). Little yard in front of the house, facing the fields, but there are no outdoor furniture at all. A few little touches, would have made it a solid 5 stars.
