Guest Reviews
- Wood (10/5): - The property was clean, warm, cozy and in a beautiful location. It was well equipped, with everything we needed for a perfect stay. The welcome pack was very nice, with fresh local produce.
- Mark (10/5): Best little cottage in the lakes - Everything felt like home so comfortable, clean everthing you would ever need Nothing
- Lesley (9/5): A beautiful cottage in a quiet location with lovely hosts. - Wow! We were absolutely delighted with the accommodation.
Overall the Garden Cottage was lovely and cosy and very inviting with welcoming vases of flowers place around the property making it feeling a home from home. Our hosts had been very thoughtful for our arrival, leaving some food staples and delicious goodies for us in the kitchen, which has everything you need in it. The master bed was very comfortable and roomy, giving us a great night's sleep. There were even treats and a towel for our dog <3 There wasn't much not to like at Garden Cottage! A minor point would be that it would be useful to have some drawers in the bedroom for clothes as well as the hanging space and bedside tables.
- Steve (10/5): Beautiful cottage & garden. - N/a Bit isolated & difficult to find, not ideal for people who are elderly or infirm, cottage elevated from car park .
- Moira (10/5): Had a wonderful stay at Garden Cottage and look forward to a return visit. - Garden Cottage is beautifully presented in an elevated position. Chris and Jill are lovely hosts and provided a range of welcome provisions for our arrival and offered helpful guidance on nearby walks and beauty spots. The kitchen was very well equipped with unexpected additions including a coffee maker and air fryer. The bedrooms were bright and airy with comfortable beds assuring a restful sleep. The double aspect lounge allowed opportunity for relaxation in the evenings after days of touring and sight seeing. Visitors with mobility issues are made aware of the external stairs leading from the car park to the cottage. This might be a deterrent to some individuals.
