• S (1/5): Don’t bother staying, for the price you might as well stay in a five star hotel in Jeju - The only good part was the exterior of the house, everything else went downhill from that point We were not given any access password before arrival and the booking.com chat was connected to an agent who asked us to look for onsite staff. No one picked up when we called the provided mobile number, and there was nobody onsite to welcome us. In the end we tried opening the doors to the different buildings and found one open which lead to the ‘on-site’ staff’s house with his family sitting in the dining area. The on-site staff took a pretty long while to step out and provide access to our room. His attitude was nonchalant and he treated us as though we were a bother. After keying the room password for us, he immediately left and left us to figure out where the aircon remote controls were (they were hidden in the bathroom drawer). Also, there is no door to the bedroom, and the bathroom door is see through. The toilet is stained and does not look like it’s been cleaned properly. Also, while the pictures online look great, in real life the tiled floors have stained/mouldy gout and there were multiple stains on the white walls. The tiled floors were cold and no slippers were provided, or perhaps we had to hunt for them in some obscure location. The last straw for us was that there was no wifi in the house. It didn’t help that the on site staff was unapproachable and barely did anything to help us settle in. We didn’t even stay for the night. This property is listed on stayfolio as one of their portfolio luxury properties, but it is nowhere near the standard.
