Guest Reviews
- Clair-mary (9/5): Very accomodating - All of it Nothing I didn't like
- Nicola (10/5): Lovely, helpful, responsive host, lovely vibe to the annexe, loved my stay, thanks! -
- Jessica (4/5): Fine for one night for two people but don’t stay with more guests for longer - Lovely to have a fireplace with logs provided. Rural location as described Sofa bed was really uncomfortable, bed sheets were just screwed up in a cupboard and not overly clean, there was no shower only a bath which is super inconvenient, kitchenware could have been much cleaner so everything needed washing before using
- Kathy HodgeBowen (8/5): -
- john (9/5): - The location on peddars way was very good. A very good location for exploring the area in north west Norfolk The host mentioned that their chikdren soon back from school could be a little noisy.
Unfortunately the wall between the lounge and their property was paper thin. We did however turn the tv up and that was actually ok. We were having a break from a toddler staying with us!
- Mark (7/5): I’d stay again -
- Frederick (7/5): -
- Jeff (9/5): - Cossy space loverly area
- Michael (8/5): -
- Richard (9/5): Perfect getaway hideaway - Property is a lovely rural area, but with plenty of amenities close by, it was ideal for a base to use, as we did for the Norfolk arena speedway stadium, or if you wanted to explore the local area, it would also be great for that, and friendly helpful hosts aswell Not really anything to dislike, but just be aware you have a working farm close by, it doesn’t detract from enjoyment of your stay though
- alison (9/5): - Great location for our trip. Excellent for dog walks and access to coast. Very clean and comfortable Nothing
- rmhaah (10/5): -
- clare (10/5): a real home from home - the cottage just felt like home from home.
clean and comfortable and really spacious.
super walks down peddars way right on the doorstep and beaches historical sights and shopping very close for trips out. there was nothing not to like.
- Andrew (8/5): Excellent value and great location to explore Norfolk. -
- Anna (10/5): -
- Anna (5/5): Loved the local village. Pub was lovely. The property is well located to explore Norfolk. - The cottage was next to a lorry park and work here started very early. We could hear family life in the adjoining cottage clearly and the water pump/ heater from this property in the bedroom.
- Susan (7/5): Comfortable accommodation and friendly host. - It was perfectly adequate for a short break and we got it for a good rate. Quite well equipped for 2. Welcome supplies, tea, coffee and milk also yummy cookies. A bit more attention to detail required.
Bed linen clean and comfortable but didn’t look inviting as it needed ironing. Windowsills were dusty.
- Vicky (8/5): - Spacious apartment with all the essential amenities. Everywhere was clean and tidy on our arrival, the hob in particular was spotless! The accommodation is a separate part of the family home, so although there is occasional noise, this did not affect.
Quiet rural location with a parking space.
Hollie was very friendly, quick with replying to messages and offering helpful recommendations for food from nearby pubs.
Very happy with the accommodation, met our expectations for what we paid :) There is a lorry park behind the accommodation; did not affect us at all, just to be aware.
Maybe a shower curtain around the bath would be useful
- John (2/5): Unacceptable - The bed was comfortable. No wardrobe to hang our clothes which had to be left in our suitcases for the duration of our stay.
The only available storage space was a couple of bedside cabinets. The bedroom carpet was badly stained and the curtains didn't hang properly because nobody had bothered to reattach the hooks to the rail. There had been a hook on the back of the bathroom door, but that was missing.
There wasn't any storage space or worktop area in the kitchen although there was plenty of space next to the fridge for a cupboard. Two of the poor quality pans had dangerously loose handles, one of which I was able to tighten.
Guests are charged a £12 cleaning fee, but the patio table was filthy as too were the door and window sills in that area. Most windows were in need of a good clean.
The hosts don't seem to have any idea of how to present a rental property. There was no evidence of a regular cleaning and maintenance programme.
We have been self catering for many many years in all parts of the UK and are used to much better than this.
- Martin (9/5): It was a delightful stay the cottage provided all my needs - I did not have breakfast Everything was fine
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (8/5): Farmyard Frollics - Good bath ,warm water and functional kitchen. Poor, loose fittings in every room. Very early start- up of large vehicles on first morning.
- Tracey (7/5): Good - Private court yard, own drive with separate entrance. No shower, shower tap which you have to hold.
The accommodation is part of the house, sectioned off. You can hear the young children clearly when in the lounge, due to connecting door.
- John (9/5): Our second stay and we loved it like last time - The owners are very nice , love the location and how quiet it is on a night
- Victoria (10/5): We had a great short break - A lovely clean & spacious cottage
- Caroline (8/5): Good location for pretty part of Norfolk - Hosts were very helpful and prompt with my questions and requests. Cosy space to stay. No shower, just shower attachments on bath taps.
- Jayne (8/5): Very good -
- Nicky (7/5): Great place, lovely host - Beautiful being out in the country. Thoughtful touches such as milk and margarine in the fridge when we arrived and a packet of delicious choc chip cookies for us to enjoy
- Teresa (4/5): Won’t be staying again - It’s very pretty and parking area is nice Very noisy, could hear all noises from the main house, Kitchen water taps hardly run to wash up, very small towel, no bath mat.
- John (9/5): Had a wonderful time with our dogs will be back again in April - Location and size were perfect
Peaceful
- Lisa (10/5): Just what we needed with lovely hosts - Loved the location and the owners went out of their way to make sure we were ok and had all that we needed. I wouldn't say there was anything we “didn’t like” I have said it wasn’t spotlessly clean but it’s location and the fact that it accommodates our not always clean pets means this is perfectly reasonable and to be expected.
- Bisby (10/5): Loved cottage. Very friendly host. Very relaxing break - Loved the wood burner. Living room was so cosy Property had shower over bath but no shower curtain or able to put shower up to shower properly.
- Camilla (9/5): Lovely good value for money, comfortable stay - Really generous amount of space for a 1 bed annexe, in a great location a short drive from G Massingham. Hollie was really lovely, easy to communicate with and so accommodating. Great value for money, comfy sofas and lots of toys for our daughter to play with. Thanks!
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional - i had a great stay the host was very helpful will definitely stay again
- Terence (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location for sandringham and hunstanton, lovely hosts , property clean and excellent standards throughout. Nothing, it was perfect for our needs
- Ironcraft (8/5): Very good - Lovely comfortable place. Plenty of room. Very quiet. You could not use the shower really because it didn't have a curtain
- Ken (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lee (8/5): Hollie was very welcoming lovely cottage with everything we needed really enjoyed our stay - The location was great out in the country with excellent walks
- Martin (8/5): very good for the price - nice and rural but not too far away .Hosts were there to help out if needed, nice little garden to sit and have a drink could do with a little more cupboard space in kitchen for foodstuffs
- Jayne (9/5): Enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend. - Good location on a quiet road with farm owners next door so felt safe and able to contact if any problems - which there weren’t. Short distance to lovely little village with good supplies and two duck ponds for entertainment! Also close to a main highway for ease of travelling. Perhaps a small washing line in the little garden as it was a good sun-trap but nowhere to hang clothes when washed - otherwise no complaints at all.
