Chris (10/5): - We had a suite, which was perfect for our family of five. The location was great, a short walk from Nagoya station, so we could easily use it as a base for daytrips out of Nagoya (Ghibli park and the Nakasendo). They also provided a free shuttle bus to the station, which was handy when we checked out. The highlight were the breakfasts, which had an extraordinary array of amazing Japanese food. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.
Walter (9/5): A good experience - a bit expensive for one night for two people - The room was a suite in the traditional Japanese style (Ryokan), with tatami mat floors the need to leave shoes at the door, etc. For a traditional layout, the bathroom was modern and fully stocked. There wasn't a breakfast option. Our stay was short to enjoy the room - one night only.

Ryan (10/5): - This place was exceptional, at least staying in the room with no number, a suite, Japanese style. The staff were great. The onsen was great! Breakfast was actually amazing, and quite the surprise! Shame only stayed one night, it was just a treat as part of travelling around. There's nothing really immediately around this place to go and look at it's all east of the station. But an Uber can get you somewhere quickly.
Luisa (10/5): Stupendo - Pulitissima, in stanza avevamo iukata per tutti, anche la piccola di 9 anni. Per lei c’era anche uno spazzolino da bimbi e in camera le lasciavano ogni mattina piccole decorazioni. Ci siamo veramente sentiti accolti, grazie al loro aiuto siamo anche riusciti a visitare una parte del parco Ghibli. Nulla, è un po’ fuori dal centro ma il proprietario ci ha accompagnato con il suo pulmino in stazione è con pochi euro di taxi eravamo in centro

Cindy (9/5): A nice Ryokan own by a cute japanese couple, onsen and amazing japanese breakfast on tatami floor. - We stayed only one night but it was a very nice place. Well equiped and clean. The room has tatami floor but we had a real bed not futon. The Breakfast was amazing in a tatami room, a real japanese breakfast. The lady in charge of the breakfast was very kind. They provide nice Yukata as well so you will feel like a real japanese without renting a kimono. The room was big enough and beautiful. We had a toilet but no bathroom. They have very nice, clean and big onsens which serve as common bathroom. For the women when we went they had 3 onsens and one was outside. Very appreciable. The couple running the place was very nice. Only the man speaks english. The Ryokan is located near the train station which is convenient and you will find nice good and cheap place to eat around the hotel. If you are tired of japanese food we recommend the himalayan restaurant near by. They have an inside smoking area. We totally recommend this place. One of the best we did in Japan. The other comments were right the place is worth it. Nothing really. Just be carefull not to choose the wrong hotel because they is another one, less good, next to it. Otherwise it was easy to find with google map.

Aikani (9/5): We had a great time and loved the stay. - The food was amazing, especially the hitsumabushi and stone steamed wagyu. The room was great, my son loved to run through the hallway connecting the rooms. Just wished more of the taxi drivers knew about it's location.
Case (10/5): Quaint Ryoken in the heart of Nagoya - The staff was friendly and inviting. It was easy to get to and only a short walk from Nagoya Station. They spoke very little English, but this was only a minor inconvenience. They kept the room clean and well organized. The Onsen (Japanese Style Bathing Facility) was an excellent way to decompress at the end of a long day. They provide slippers, towels, and the traditional Yumata (including directions for proper wear) for all members of the family. Overall a wonderful stay.
