• Tardiveau (8/5): - La literie était confortable et l’emplacement à proximité du centre du village est parfait. Le canapé et les tabourets dans la cuisine étaient un peu inconfortables.
• Fitzgerald (5/5): Meh - It was clean. Bit of mold in the bathrooms, very damn smell in apartment , heaters at rooms have not been working. It have been stormy night and not possible to dry our coats. Not even tea back and shop have been closed at village. Property have been double booked and 1 hour after we arrive, another family try to gain accesses into this apartment . Host phone on Booking has not been correct and when we finally track him down, he said its not possible??! However, it happened. Rules for apartments are written by Nazzi. Sheets need a upgrade and maybe don’t by them at Penny’s .

And relocated us to different house which didn't match our renting conditions as access to the kitchen. So. • Javier (7/5): Opcion para dormir antes de ir a Skelling Michael - La ubicación para ir a Skelling Michael y que estaba muy limpio. La casa estaba correctamente equipada y el aparcamiento delante de la casa. Los armarios son extremadamente pequeños. En nuestro caso que fue para una sola noche no es un problema pero si que los es para una larga estancia. El baño era muy reducido.

Definitely not enough space for four adults.Tiny bedrooms, no chairs apart from 2 person sofa to sit down and 2 bar stools. The apartment was clean, however there was a strange, unpleasant smell in the apartment.

• GEORGIA (7/5): Μέτρια διαμονη. - Το χωριό στο οποίο βρίσκεται το κατάλυμα είναι πολύ γραφικό. Χώρος στάθμευσης μπροστά στο κατάλυμα. Ευκολία στο check in. Οι χώροι του καταλύματος ήταν πολύ μικροί για οικογένεια. Τα στρώματα δεν ήταν άνετα. Στην κουζίνα δεν υπήρχαν τα στοιχειώδη (καφές ζάχαρη νερό εμφιαλωμενο) εστω για εναν πρωινο καφε. Οι παροχές δεν ανταποκρίνονται στην υψηλή τιμή του καταλύματος.

• Laura (4/5): À éviter ! - L’emplacement près du joli port de Portmagee. Après l’avoir demandé, une personne est venue nous changer un drap sale et nous apporter deux serviettes manquantes. La liste est longue. Cet appartement est petit et sale. La salle d’eau sentait mauvais, la douche tend à se boucher, des draps ne semblaient pas lavés. Il y avait des araignées un peu partout. Je n’ai pas l’habitude de mal noter les réservations mais au prix invraisemblable où l’on a payé cette location, les prestations étaient franchement minables. C’est notre pire expérience en Irlande.
• Elodie (5/5): Bon emplacement mais manque de confort, d'équipement et de propreté - Bon emplacement près du joli port de portmagee et des cliffs. Parking pour la voiture devant le logement. Petite maison rénovée en logement neuf avec deux appartements. Facile à trouver. Le manque de confort et d equipement au regard du prix....deux chambres et une cuisine mais pas de salon, impossible de s'asseoir car une banquette dure en guise de canapé dans la cuisine et des tabourets hauts autour d' une toute petite table. Une table à l extérieur serait nécessaire car il est très difficile de manger à 4 dedans. Le plus gros souci est la propreté..... miettes sur la table et les tabourets, vaisselle et tiroirs dégoûtants ( miettes et mouches mortes). On s'est demandé si le ménage était fait entre deux clients... Les draps de tous les lits étaient mis à l' envers....ont ils été changés ou juste retournés entre deux locataires... Quand on lit les injonctions laissées sur la porte,on comprend que le locataire précédent est responsable du ménage du prochain locataire.....on aurait peut-être dû se laver nos draps aussi.... Bref location la plus chère de notre road trip et malheureusement la moins bien...donc la seule pour laquelle je laisse un avis négatif. Et pensez à faire les courses avant car rien autour et même pas un peu de café ni un sachet de thé ... pour ce prix là... vraiment grosse déception.....
• Oisin (6/5): At least think about it - Location and parking Could provide some basics like salt & pepper, oil, coffee, tea, washing tablets, more toilet paper (2 for 4 wasn't enough), napkins, bed sheets were very old. For what we paid we felt it wasn't worth it. Other places even gave us muffins, biscuits, milk and fruits... There's no supermarkets around, so you rely on these I comment before. The sofa was very uncomfortable, not family friendly.. Not enough hangers for wet towels also.

Ils auraient dû mettre une grande table à la place du canapé. Humidité, vaisselle pas propre.

• Jesus (6/5): Una base para visitar las islas Skellig - Dispone de aparcamiento y está muy cerca del puerto de Pormagee. Cocina completa. Calefacción. No tiene alma. Es una casa funcional y todo se gestiona sin contacto humano. Un poco caro.
• Francesca (4/5): Non ci tornerei. - La posizione adeguata alle mete da visitare La struttura era pulita male e nell’aria si sentiva un cattivo odore soprattutto in camera da letto, gli asciugamani non erano sufficienti per quattro persone, le lenzuola non erano lavate bene, in cucina sarebbe servito almeno un altro canovaccio oppure almeno il rotolo carta cucina e soprattutto manca il tavolo perché la mensola presente è del tutto inadeguata

It the facilities for self-catering but in v small ,kitchen and sitting area. The centre of the village was v close by, easy stroll. Lots of parking immediately at the little building and off the road. The weather.

• Bailie (6/5): Not much comfort here - The location was excellent. The kitchen was tiny but well equipped. The beds were very uncomfortable. The walls are thin and you can hear everything from the second unit. The couch was really uncomfortable.

• Catherine (2/5): - !!Be aware Skellig Michael Landing Tours are not operating and cancel within cancellation period!! The accommodation itself is as described, but unfortunately the experience was soured by a lack of flexibility and support when we faced a last-minute issue outside our control. Our reason for traveling to Portmagee was to take the Skellig Michael landing tour, which was cancelled due to the operator not receiving permits. This was only communicated to us one day after the free cancellation period ended. We contacted the host immediately, hoping for some flexibility, even a partial concession, given the circumstances. Unfortunately, the host declined and was quite blunt in suggesting we check TripAdvisor ourselves for other attractions, despite previously advising there were many options. When we pushed for more details, there was no further reply. We understand this situation wasn’t the host’s fault—but a bit of empathy or support would have gone a long way. If you're booking this property solely to visit Skellig Michael, be aware that 2025 permit to land has not been granted, landing trips are not running, and there may be limited support or options offered from the property.

• JEAN-MARC (10/5): Très bel appartement pour 4 personnes - L'appartement est situé à 200m du port. Il s'agit d'une maison comprenant 2 appartements, et vous ne pourrez pas le manquer grâce à un immense panneau sur le devant de la maison. Vous y accédez par la seule porte principale à l'avant de la maison, les clés sont disponibles dans une boite à clés, dont le code vous sera communiqué par l'hôte. Nous avons reçu l'appartement no. 2. Il est neuf, les équipements de la cuisine sont neufs, la cuisine de manque de rien. Les literies sont très bonnes. Il y a même les pastilles pour le lave-linge, ainsi qu'un très grand étendoir à linge. Emplacement très calme. Vous pouvez vous rendre aux Kerry Cliffs à pieds. Alex, notre hôte est aux petits soins. Nous avons pu garer notre véhicule devant la maison. Nous sommes très contents d'avoir séjourné 2 belles journées dans ce magnifique village de Portmagee. Rien
• Elizabeth (4/5): Great location but I was disappointed in the size of the living space in the apartment - It was very convenient, a great location. Very clean. The property didn’t accommodate 4 people comfortably, the bench settee was small and very uncomfortable seating only 2 people. The 4 stools around a very small table was barely big enough to use for meals. The wet room, shower room flooded when the shower was used and there were no mats to mop up the water.

Within 5 minutes walk to the downtown beside the beautiful port. The kitchen facilities are excellent. But the floor of the shower room is need to improve the effluent efficiency.

Great location, but cleanliness was an issue. - Host was responsive to a late night message and accommodated our concerns with the property quickly. One of the beds smelled of urine and was damp. The showers are poorly designed such that water floods the entire bathroom. A longer shower curtain could fix that, or raised tiles along the shower entrance. More hooks would be useful in the bathroom and bedrooms.

• Kathryn (9/5): Portmagee. Honest opinion - Great location, place was spotlessly clean and very comfortable beds. Within walking distance of the village and parking right outside the door. We visited the beautiful Valentia island and it didn't disappoint. Great local pubs for food and entertainment. A little noisy as very close to the adjoining apartment but in fairness it didn't last too late into the night. It was more loud chatting and conversations rather than actual noise.

Apartment was clean and cute. Perfect for a family of four. Appreciated being able to leave car for the day. Could have used a fan and an ironing board. Also missing a foot towel for shower.
• Silvia (7/5): - La llegada facil con buzon y codigo para recoger las llaves. Solo nos quedábamos una noche por lo que cubrió nuestras necesidades. Es pequeño pero tiene de todo y muy limpio y muy nuevo todo. El baño es demasiado pequeño para cuatro personas si hubieran sido más días hubiera sido complicado. Hace mucho frío en la zona y tiene radiadores eléctricos pero por la noche teníamos calor. Nuestros cargadores universales para el extranjero no funcionaban porque los enchufes tienen un embellecedor que los hacía saltar, algo complicado. Menos mal que por un día nos apañamos.

• Andrea (8/5): We liked the apartment very much but would like to have found it more easily. - Breakfast not included. Good location for restaurants and ferry to Skelligs Compact but well thought out and finding tea and coffee supplied was a plus. We had trouble finding the apt as it wasn't clear where the used car place was. We did eventually spot the Portmagee Village Apartments sign and investigated that property but could not see any number on the door and didn't spot the lockbox. Eventually we pulled up at the house next to the used cars and the owners son confirmed that we had been at the right place. We had seen a sign for a Car Sales place which we mistook for the used car place mentioned in the directions. Making the distinction clear would have helped and placing Apt Numbers on the front door and the lock boxes would have helped. We still hadn't received the code by 4 and I had to remind the owner.

The owner was friendly and flexible to allow an early check in. Plenty parking space. Perfect location. Wifi worked well. The apartment was very small. There was no living room, only a kitchen and two small bedrooms. There was no chair to put your clothes on, only the floor. There was no place to put your toileteries, only the floor, which was easily flooded because of the shower curtain being too short. There was no floor wiper nor a bath mat to dry the wet floor. There was no coffee maker.
• Rory (5/5): Okay apartment with no hot water so showering was a disappointment. - Location was an easy walk to the center of town. Apartment was clean. Plenty of space to park your cars. No hot water so showering was slightly cool at best. Bedrooms were small so difficult to navigate with suitcases.
• James (8/5): Great apartment with great location. - Not much to say, really. It was exactly as expected. Two good-sized rooms with double beds, a kitchen area, and a seating area. You share the building with another apartment and use the same front door, but we didn't meet them at all. We went on a Skellig Michael landing tour, and they graciously allowed us to leave our car there. It was a five-minute walk to where you meet the skippers. There's also amazing food a four- to five-minute walk away. No downsides we can think of. Only maybe the seating area. It was a bit small for four people to relax. The sofa was big enough for three at a squeeze, and there were two stools.
