- Camille (8/5): Correct - La piscine Le calme du lieu Aux alentours les plages sont désertes et ça fait même peur … Le petit déjeuner sans jus sans proposition de boissons chaudes et très succinct … Le premier jour nous avons pris le bowl cake nous n’avons rien eu d’autre … ne serait que un toast un thé un jus ou quoi je ce soit d’autres … et idéalement propose du muesli dans le bowl cake !

- Emma Marie (10/5): - Eine Oase um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Wirklich wunderschön, tolle Zimmer, sauber, großer Balkon, toller Pool… alles was das Herz begehrt. Es wurde sogar ein Scooter zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Gastgeber sind äußerst freundlich und bemühen sich den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Ich würde immer wieder hierher kommen.

- Rohan (10/5): - We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Finch in Tangalle. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm, stylish, and thoughtfully put together. The property itself is beautifully designed – modern but still very much in harmony with the natural surroundings, which made it feel like a real escape. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The bed was excellent, air conditioning worked perfectly, and the attention to detail (from linens to lighting) really stood out. You can tell a lot of care has gone into creating a high-quality experience. What really made the stay special was the service. The staff were genuinely warm, attentive without being intrusive, and always happy to help with anything – whether it was arranging transport, giving local tips, or just making sure we were comfortable. The location is also ideal – peaceful and tucked away, yet still close enough to explore Tangalle’s beaches and restaurants easily. It felt private and relaxing, which is exactly what we were looking for. Overall, Finch exceeded expectations in every way. If you’re looking for a stylish, quiet, and well-run place to stay in Tangalle, this is it. We would absolutely come back.

Endroit très calme et relaxant pour profiter de la piscine, ainsi que du petit déjeuner vu sur la piscine. Le personnel est très accueillant, s’intéresse à vous et discute. - Arno (9/5): A serene retreat in nature’s backyard - The hotel is nestled in a peaceful, natural setting, surrounded by an abundance of wildlife. We spotted monkeys, butterflies, and a wide variety of birds throughout the day, which added to the charm of the environment. The rooms were spacious and thoughtfully laid out, featuring a separate living room, an outdoor kitchen, and an open-air bathroom. The swimming pool, located in the heart of a green garden, was both inviting and relaxing. The staff were friendly and attentive, and although we didn’t try the breakfast due to early plans, it looked fresh and well-prepared. The only downside to our stay was a leakage in the bathroom, which left the floor consistently wet. Given that the bathroom was located outside, it wasn't a major inconvenience, but it did suggest some overdue maintenance that could easily be addressed. Otherwise, our stay was pleasant and enjoyable.

- Steffi Marie (10/5): Tolle Unterkunft - Die Eigentümer waren nicht vor Ort sondern einer ihrer Angestellten. Er war so freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles was er nicht wusste (z.B. Restaurantempfehlungen) hat er nachgefragt und dann an uns weitergeleitet. Das Frühstück war für den Preis sehr umfangreich und lecker. Auch für den Pool haben wir extra Pool Handtücher bekommen und die Anlage war sehr gepflegt Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb. Man braucht ca. 30 min zu Fuß in die Stadt.

Location is a bit away from the centre and in low season a lot of things in the neighbourhood were closed. We would have chosen a different location in low season in retrospect. No fault of the hotel of course!

Shenu does everything at the property, he was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed some great chats with him one evening 🙂 - he offered us a delicious welcome drink and a smoothie each day we were there ❤️ The hotel is located just off the roadside so is nice and quiet. The birds you hear here are wonderful. The room itself was huge, it even had a separate living room! Ours also had kitchen facilities should you require them. The pool area was very well maintained and peaceful, a lovely spot for a dip to escape the heat. A really great hotel for the price point, thanks for an excellent stay. Nothing

The bathroom was a wet room, and the mats kept on the floor became really smelly. Our only suggestion would be to remove those mats or have something that will allow the water to drain away 😊

If you need they can do your laundry for you and rent a scooter. Very good place, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, close to a nice silent beach.

- Eduard (10/5): Good place - The property is situated in a private area near the Red Beach, just a five-minute walk away. Surrounded by lush green trees and the tranquility of nature, we were delighted to see monkeys, peacocks, and fireflies right on the property. The pool was always clean and the water warm, with plenty of sunbeds available, ensuring it was never crowded. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, paying extreme attention to every detail. The breakfast was delicious, although it did take a bit of time to prepare. One minor downside was that only the upstairs villas have a kitchen, but we had no issues using the communal kitchen outside. Additionally, the noisy tourists above us were a bit of a disturbance, but this was not the staff's fault.
- Mark (7/5): Good - The pool was decent, rooms were basic but good size and clean, and the staff were excellent. The location was fine, 3 or 4 restaurants within walking distance. Easy enough to get a tuk tuk when out and about. The kitchen area was good enough for basic cooking and coffee. Loads of wildlife live in the grounds, lizards, frogs, birds and the occasional monkey. Good location for sight seeing. WiFi is very intermittent. Most of the time it was painful. Not so good if you need to do a little work. Breakfast was so so.

Every morning he is present and when he is gone you can reach him on WhatsApp. We stayed for 4 night. All the rooms have a fridge what is super handy for drinks and food. Everything was super clean. The pool is very nice! Finch is close to the beach. You can rent a scooter if you like. Thank you for everything!

Beautiful, empty beaches in close vicinity, wild animals such as monkeys, peacoks and fireflies had made our stay more interesting, especially for our kids. Staff is super friendly and helpful with anything you ask - Thank you once again! 😊 Room standard was rather high comparing to other pleces we stayed in during our Sri Lanka trip and the place was really clean with A/C and mosquito net. Guests have access to kitchen to use fridge, cooker and also there's a washing machine. Location was quiet and bit away from city centre, but that's what we wanted on our holiday. You can rent scooter at the place and easily move around, also there are few beautiful beaches nearby. Breakfast was also good, although at times we had to wait a little bit to get that prepared 😉 I overall highly recommend this place when visiting Tangalle region, for a comfy and pleasent stay. There's not such thing

- Erik (4/5): It’s not what you think it is - The pool was nice and the manager very friendly and helpful. They sell it as a “villa deluxe” but that’s not a villa. It’s a standard room with 24h wet shower and a balcony, absolutely basic, plus funny insects. Booking.com is overselling that place a lot, so adjust your expectations. Also the property is a bit in the middle of nowhere away from the main street and Tangalle. You always need a tuktuk to get somewhere and if there is some rain the path to the property leads through a big paddle that can give you some wet feet.
- Rebecca (6/5): Not what we expected - The pool was lovely, and the room was a decent size, with the addition of a separate living area with a table and chair that I could work at. The hosts father was very friendly and organised breakfast for us for LK 1200. We appreciated the close proximity to the Red Beach restaurant which we went to many times. The room's facilities are not as described, and we were not the only guests to complain. There was no wardrobe or kettle. After a day they brought a cupboard with shelves, and a kettle. The adjoining kitchen is very dirty, with hardly any cutlery or crockery, or a knife to chop food with. The fridge was very dirty inside. We only had the room cleaned once in 10 days, and we had to ask for that! There was building work happening onsite through the day, and this turned the already muddy grass area into a cement puddle. The road to get there is very difficult to navigate when it rains, as there are huge puddles and a lot of mud.
- Ilona (7/5): Nice new constructed house, but not finished. - Nice new construction, comfortable beds, clean room, close to the nice beach. I like everything was new and not used, good quality of materials, curtains and beds. Kids had fun in the pool. The A/C was working good and was quiet. So the house is not finished and in the smaller villa there are lot of things missing. No wardrobe, no shelves in the bathroom, no place to put your stuff. The host noted our suggestions so hopefully, it will be fixed for the next customers. What I didn't like was that there was construction and heavy work around the house. I even didn't want to go to the pool because 10 workers staring at me. Didn't feel peaceful at all, very uncomfortable. Also, there is a broken muddy road from the main road to the house. When raining it's a real mission to get out through slippery and sticky mud all the way.

Everything was perfect : location (very chill, outside of the city center, right next to 2 beautiful beaches), food (outstanding freshly cooked breakfasts available 🤤), very clean, new and nice rooms + beautiful pool. We definitely recommend to everyone we know for your stay in Tangalle and would be happy to come back one day 🇱🇰 Thank you for everything 🙏🏻, the dad even helped us and waited with us at the bus stop to make sure we get the right one for our following destination, it was very very kind! - David (9/5): Great place - We had a great stay at Finchs. Everything was spotless and clean, the bed is comfortable and everything is new. The pool is clean and even has a small kids pool. -
- Pavel (10/5): Exceptional - Super nice apartment/villa that I really recommend to anyone planning to stay at Tangalle. Extraordinary service provided by owners was top of our visit in Sri Lanka. I also liked the location not too far from Silent or Gyokomba beaches. The ability to jump into the very nice pool was cherry on top of the cake.
- Marina (10/5): You can't miss this spot! - Little hidden gem! A beautiful place in the beach area of Tangalle. The photos are just as you will experience them. The owners were extremly helpful and kind, wherever you need they will do their best to provide. They can also arrange transport services. Highly recommended, you will upgrade your vacation by a thousand!!
- Lukas (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed two nights and it was awesome! So friendly staff and the hole villa is very clean and the pool was amazing. Just a few meters away from the beach! Can only recommend this accommodation to everyone.
