• Lara (10/5): - Wir hatten einen super schönen Aufenthalt im Confetti House! Wir verbrachten die Tage am Strand von Bai Xep, der nur 3 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt ist und kamen abends zurück in die Unterkunft, wo Pon und seine Frau uns jeden Abend ein leckeres vegetarisches Gericht zauberten. Pon ist ein sehr sehr herzlicher Gastgeber, wir haben uns abends noch sehr nett bei einem Bierchen mit ihm unterhalten, er spricht sehr gut englisch! Das Zimmer war super und das Badezimmer auf dem Balkon hat mir auch sehr gut gefallen :-)
• viola (8/5): Krásné, milé, ale trochu zanedbané - Líbil se mi výhled na moře i to, jak byl pan Pon milý a připravený nám se vším poradit. Dokonce opravil synovi rozbité autíčko. Na dvoře byl taky strašně roztomilý pejsek. Pan Pon také moc dobře vaří. No bylo to tam takové zanedbané... jako kdyby tam nikdo x let nebyl. Je to škoda, protože je to takové milé. roztomilé ubytování. Byl také docela hodně slyšet hluk ze silnice.
• Katarina (10/5): - We truly enjoyed our stay and even had the luck to prolong it for one more night. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the courtyard very nice to sit in, and the hosts are very kind and willing to help. We could wash our laundry and got amazing tips for places to visit and help with booking our next destination. The hosts waited for us late at night since our bus had a postponed arrival. They cooked delicious food and had cold drinks and coffee. Very close is a nice beach but we rented a scooter and explored the close-by places. We highly recommend the stay and hope to return again!

• Andrew (10/5): - Located a very short walk to the beach and restaurants. There is also a small restaurant at the property and the family will cook up a meal if needed. Pon is an extremely kind and helpful host and does everything to make your stay comfortable. I'll be back here one day.

• marie-claire (9/5): - C’est vraiment vivre avec une famille vietnamienne, dans un cadre de vie authentique et très sympathique. Phong est très disponible pour s’adapter à votre aventure đu Vietnam. La plage et le village de pêcheurs sont à 5 mn à pieds…. Phong peut très bien cuisiner mais il est aussi possible d’avoir les pieds dans l’eau et déguster fruits de mer pêchés dans la nuit. J’espère avoir la chance de revenir à la maison Confetti ! Merci Phong !

• Filippo (8/5): Bel soggiorno a Bai Xep, familiare e genuino - La struttura gode di un’ottima posizione, sia per la vicinanza a delle belle spiagge sia per il contesto in cui è inserita. Si trova infatti in un villaggio di pescatori che conserva la sua genuinità. Pon e la sua famiglia sono molto gentili e disponibili, la comunicazione è semplice perché si parla in inglese. Ottimo cuoco, abbiamo fatto colazione e cenato sempre nella sua struttura. Accogliente e con un bel potenziale, sarebbe ancora più bello se si rinnovassero un po’ gli spazi esterni e i bagni.
• Callum (8/5): - Pon was an excellent host, helped me located a leak in my motorbike tyre too! Gave us excellent suggestions of where to visit, and was generally just a really nice guy. Beds are super comfy, AC is good, showers good. The issue for some people will be the noise. I’m a very light sleeper but the bed was so comfy I slept through everything. But for some, the road noise and cockerel might be a bit much

• Smu (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay at Confetti House was our favourite in whole Vietnam. Our room was PERFECT - very big, with huge window overlooking the sea and really nice bathroom on the balcony! Food was A M A Z I N G - super delicious! Also - all the time you can ask for a iced coffee and chill with on a hammock! But the best thing here is Pon and his family! They are kind, helpful, nice to talk to. It was our biggest pleasure to get to know them! Everything was PERFECT!
• Jack (10/5): Exceptional - Nice little village, only 5 minutes to the beach. The lunch we had was delicious and the room was huge with a comfy bed, good alfresco but enclosed shower and importantly good air con! Owners were really nice too! Busy road nearby but apart from one or two horns we barely noticed, fine with earplugs and obviously nothing they can do about it!
• Serena (10/5): Exceptional - This was one of my favourite places in Vietnam. We enjoyed the house, the location and the owner is the nicest person I've met in Vietnam. He cooked delicious vegetarian food for us every day. Homemade food is unbeatable :) If we had time, we would have happily stayed longer! Also the room and the beds were great, we needed to catch up on sleep and this was the perfect place for it!

• Ella (10/5): Brilliant stay at Confetti House - We enjoyed our stay at Confetti House very much. Pon was an incredible host who went above and beyond to help us have a great time. From organising a trip to a local waterfall for us and a taxi to the train station to serving us some incredible meals and very cold beers, we had the best time here and could not recommend enough. The accommodation itself was also incredibly clean, and we were made to feel so comfortable. Pon, his lovely family and beautiful dogs were a highlight for us while travelling South East Asia and so I would encourage anyone to go out of their way to visit Bai Xep and Confetti House (or even just Pon’s Place for some great food)! Thank you Pon for a lovely stay.

Enjoyed a few beers with him too and had a great chat, his English is extremely good. He gave me some great recommendations for places to see nearby including an incredible waterfall that you could swim under. Great food and great company, wish I had time to stay here longer. Also a much better beach than life’s a beach hostel down the road.

• Alysson (10/5): Exceptional - We had a lovely stay at Confetti House ! Pon and his wife are amazing hosts! They make you feel at home and treat you like friends and take care well of you :) My partner was sick and Pon prepared us hot drinks with ginger tumeric citrus, it was really kind of him. They give you also nice recommandations to visit around the guest house and they took care of the bus to go to another city after. The guest house is well decorated , really cozy just at the entrance of Bai Xep Village. The bed is comfy , you just have not to be sensitive to the noise as it’s close to the road. The food is great too. Thank you again and see you soon Pon ! Merci beaucoup :)

As an bonus he also have made several of the nice furniture in the rooms. Cosy home made food, nice dogs. Easy communication and good English
• Padraig (10/5): Magical and relaxed few days with Pon’s family - The property is beautiful, a fantastic chill out area and the rooms are lovely and private upstairs. The bedroom is decorated beautifully and the bed is the best we’ve slept on in our Vietnam trip. Showering outside is such a treat, feels like you are a little part of the jungle. Pon has built everything himself and it’s incredibly impressive - it feels safe, beachy and relaxed there. It was a pleasure to stay with Pon and we can safely say we will be back next time we are in Vietnam. Nothing! It was perfect.

On the one hand, excellent restaurant service with tasty and very well prepared local Vietnamese food. The location is also amazing, just two minutes to the beach. They also have three cute dogs and hammocks so you can stay in the shade :D

• Laura (10/5): A highlight of our Vietnam trip - Loved our stay here, we extended an extra night and would have stayed longer if we had the time. Pon, his wife, two children and three cute friendly dogs made us feel right at home. Comfortable room with air conditioning and outdoor feel to the bathroom. Delicious home cooking always available. Just a 5min walk from the beach. Locals fishing town which has a very nice, peaceful vibe (not overly touristy) with a few places to get a drink or bite to eat on the beach front. Pon and his daughter walked with us to a nearby waterfall one day which was so nice. We loved just relaxing downstairs in the hammocks. The property is just off the main road, so this can be quite loud.

Pon and his family have just been amazing, so nice people, helping me with everything! Cooked my favorite meals, really cared about me having the best stay. And you can ask Pon everything, he helps you with everything you can imagine. I just felt so welcome and at home at their place and stayed there for 10 days. I really highly recommend you going there, you won’t regret!

• Titouan (10/5): Hidden gem. Very nice hosts. - We had a great stay with Pon and his family. They gave us a very warm welcome. The house is located at the entrance to the fishing village, and the beach is only a 3-minute walk away. Our room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the shower was hot. Pon is very accommodating and always available for a chat. He and his wife are very good cooks. We were supposed to stay one night, but we enjoyed it so much that we ended up staying 3 nights. We can only recommend it. Thanks for everything! Nothing to say
• Karen (8/5): Overall nice break at dissapointing beach - It was a charming village house where the owner Phong had built 4 guest rooms on the top level. Bedroom is spacious with fan and aircon. We had the end one with ocean views and large window to let breeze in. Bathroom is outside partially walled in but functional. Downstairs is communal eating sitting area which is great except for dawn and dusk with mosquitoes. Phong very responsive host keen to assist and advise. Phong booked our ongoing bus and organised a car to town. Haven down at beach has great wifi, good drinks and snacks. Lack of wifi in room, needed to go down to common area to access then mosquitoes and cigarette smoke as issue. We had high hopes for our stay at this village having read reviews - apparently development happening near waterfall so it is no longer nice. We have had 2 weeks in Vietnam and the village was the least friendly we have been to. many of beaches now have private resorts so limit access, so walking anywhere involved hot walk along bitumen not nice wander along beach and headlands. Obviously not the fault of Confetti House but the surrounding area and activities was the reason we had booked. We elected to have breakfast included in our rate, and generally it was good with a different thing served each day, we were however charged for our coffee each day and that was not written anywhere, even though they have a very clear price list of cost of anything additional.
• Peter (10/5): Great stay - Lovely stay at confetti, Phong was super friendly and helpful. Even helped with fixing a friend's bike. Near the road but barely notice cars at night. Short walk to beach which is beautiful. Outdoor bathroom and decent WiFi. Thank you for having us!
• Martin (6/5): Pleasant - Room with bathroom means bathroom in the balcony - expect bugs and mosquitoes, not privacy. Strong air condition and fan, mediocre WiFi, some electricity sockets did not work in our room (the one with sea view). Rooms get noisy early from the nearby busy road. Positives are that the owner is very friendly and can help with arranging taxi to Quy Nhon (Grab drivers didn't want to come when we tried), the rooms are very cheap (for Bai Xep), it's just 5 minutes walk from the beach and cheap cool local beer is available. We tried to eat here once (lunch) and had digestive problems afterwards so never tried again.

The room had everything we needed during our short stay. The property is located within walking distance (less than 10 mins) from the beach (which is beautiful and remote). This was a gem and we are very happy to have found this place.

• Anonymous (10/5): amazing stay - This was probably one of our best experiences in vietnam! The house is lovely and you can easily walk to the beach to enjoy sunset and eat fish directly on the sand. Everything from the garden to the room furniture is made by phong, the owner, with a lot of love. Him and his family are some of the nicest people we met in vietnam. They are always happy to discuss and on top of that they cook tasty food. Phong recommended us some beautiful local spots where we would have never went without him. It was an unforgettable experience, I recommend 100%

• Arnold (10/5): Exceptional - Nice small village, great room with a view to the seaside (from some distance), nice outdoor bathroom, excellent breakfast according to personal wishes and - most important - a great host. We strongly recommend to have a tour with him in the surrounding area. He brought us to a lonely beach where there were only local fishermen, then to a local market where we had our best food in Vietnam and finally to a waterfall in a beautiful surrounding in the backcountry. Nothing worth mentioning.

The bathroom is private but outside which we really liked. They offer breakfast & coffee. The bed was comfortable but had a strange smell. The location is alright but just next to a busy road.

We stayed during Tet holiday, when most of the places in the village were closed, but we had some really good vegetarian breakfast and dinner from Confetti house. The room was big, with a really nice view. Definitely recommended for people who like to have interesting and fun conversations with the owners, and learn some things from them. The owner also took us by car to the train station early in the morning, which was very helpful. -
• Erika (4/5): quirky close to beach - basic clean rooms - Reasonable price for the area (much more expensive than other parts of Vietnam though based on quality). friendly family. basic clean rooms on a very busy road. feels like it would have benefitted from a refurbishment after covid. the local fishing village did not feel overly friendly to tourists (unlike rest of Vietnam) and only food by the beach through the village (at high prices and not great quality). no hot water - which would not have been a problem normally but it was not very hot when we visited - family did offer to install heater but couldn’t due to Tet so instead provided thermoses of hot lemongrass water which was lovely
