Guest Reviews
- Lisa (10/5): - Absolutely gorgeous cottage located in an idyllic location. The cottage building has been renovated to a beautiful standard and decorated perfectly, to the very finest detail. The setting is stunning, offering total privacy, and the river at the bottom of the garden just makes the cottage absolutely perfect...it really could not be any better. I absolutely loved the cottage and the location and definitely intend to return. The hosts were genuinely lovely people, who were on hand to help but also totally respected our privacy. Located within easy reach of nearby locations including Woodhall Spa, Horncastle and Coningsby, whilst offering a totally peaceful retreat. This really is a rare gem that we were very lucky to find. I cannot wait to go back.
- Richardson (9/5): Wish we could have stayed longer ! - The main positives for us were the safe totally enclosed garden for our dog and the easy parking . The cottage was comfortable, well equipped and warm. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly.

The majority of property Hosts on Booking seem normally reluctant to help and indifferent. However Fiona and Byran are the exception, they are kind considerate and thoughtful.
My favourite part was the view of the river and trees, at the bottom of the cottage garden. There was nothing I disliked
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - Everything, a lovely little cottage that's perfect for a mini break. I'm not sure if there were any recycling facilities, I had a look around but couldn't see any. If I missed them, my apologies!

- Hannah (10/5): Fantastic property. Peaceful and bright with everything you need - Fiona and Brian were very welcoming and very sweet when I asked for a bigger mug for my cups of tea. Not their fault but previous guest hadn't cleaned up their dogs business near a chair by the river which was a shame, but that was the only thing I could fault and as stated was not owners fault.
- Helen (9/5): A lovely quiet comfortable place to relax - It is lovely and quiet, comfortable and well equipped with a good enclosed garden for dogs

- Ceire (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Very cosy cottage nice quiet . Would recommend to anyone. Nothing
- Philip (9/5): Superb - An extremely high quality conversion where all furniture and fittings are top quality. For a small country retreat you couldn't ask for much better and although I had little contact with the hosts Fiona and Bryan on my stay, what contact I had they came over as very friendly hosts. I had no issues but I felt if I had they would have done their best to help. Thank you. Very little. Perhaps I had some concern with the walk-in shower splashing outside the tray.
- Amanda (10/5): The Cottage was great and we all enjoyed our holiday. - Location N/A
- Ros (9/5): Nice quiet location for a short holiday. - Warm welcome from Fiona.

- Pauline (10/5): Lovely little getaway . - The cottage is beautiful , very cosy, and had all the facilities that you would need for a weekend away.
The location is peaceful, but if you want restaurants , pubs, and shopping , Woodhall Spa is just over 5 minutes drive .
The hosts , Brian and Fiona, are friendly and even offered to drop us off and pick us up from a restaurant we had booked for the following night. All in all, it was a perfect little weekend away. Thank you 😊 Nothing as all was great 😊

- Anonymous (10/5): Relaxing stay in a beautiful setting - Poplar Cottage is absolutely beautiful with everything you need and is in a quiet, peaceful setting. Fiona and Bryan are the perfect hosts! We love the little garden but what would make it perfect is having it fenced off completely so that our boxer could run around off lead. There is a little yard with a gate but a gate to the garden would be even more perfect! Thank you so much to you both, we loved our stay! A gate to the garden would be perfect
- Anita (9/5): Superb -
- Tammy (2/5): Not good!!!!! - Would be nice quiet location in summer but had very bad flooding when we went River very close by... Paid for three nights stay but could only stay two nights as was bad flooding and couldn't get back to place.. lack of communication from owners... couldn't relax there as no proper living room furniture was wicker conservatory sofa very uncomfortable let the place down... the bed was very hard and lumpy more pot holes than local roads...cheap rough bedding and tiny towels that dont cover your body after a shower... we stay away quite alot and think things like decent bath towels and cotton bedding are pretty standard these days we all want bit of comfort as if at home when we go away not to feel like we are roughing it... the only thing hosts did provide was tassimo pods unfortunately they were three years out of date again not acceptable... could be nice place if hosts spent some money on bringing it up to standard... was a stressful break due to local flooding and not being able to stay where we paid for hosts didn't keep us updated we were worried about our belongings and wasn't sure what to expect when we could finally return the next day I don't think hosts gave us much consideration which again to me is not acceptable!!!
- Pam (8/5): Peaceful.Hosts friendly, welcoming and informative - Lovely location just the right place to get to other destinations Settee’s

- Janet (10/5): Lovely quiet, relaxing break - A beautiful stable conversion in a lovely quiet location. Extremely well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean.
We were lucky and had some good weather during our stay so could enjoy the private garden and managed to have a couple of barbecues. Thank you Bryan for the loan of the BBQ.
Fiona and Bryan are very helpful and friendly and made sure we had all we needed to make our stay
enjoyable.
- Carl (9/5): Perfect little break, highly recommend - Peaceful, tranquil location, nice little pub just 5 minutes up the road, the accommodation was cosy, comfortable and perfect for us and our dog, excellent walks close by, beautiful views from the lounge of a small garden, little river and views out on the AONB, 8 minute drive into the picturesque village of Woodhall Spa, with excellent eateries, boutiques and bars, all incredibly dog friendly, would highly recommended to anyone wanting a short break This is a beautiful cosy cottage, so nothing not to like, the only advice I would give is if your travelling for work there isn’t any Wi-Fi which could prove difficult in a technical day and age, but this is clearly stated and it could do with an iron, ironing board and potentially some tea, sugar and milk just to get you started, that being said the hosts are incredibly friendly and I’m sure would be more then happy to oblige
- Stephen (9/5): Superb - Poplar Cottage was a great little find, just what we were looking for a quiet get away. The owners were welcoming and very helpful. The dog friendly pub a few minutes walk away was a bonus and a hit. We would definitely stay here again. that we only booked for 2 nights

- Moira (10/5): A lovely cottage in a great location. - This is a lovely little cottage, beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. Hosts were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect to explore the surrounding countryside, and there is a good pub 5 minutes walk away. We will definitely return! Nothing
- Stefan (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Was very comfortable and beautifully furnished with very friendly owners and easily accessible dog walks and lovely scenery all around.
- Waddingham (10/5): lovely cottage in a nice village, peacefull, and relaxing , - we loved all of what poplar cottage offered, cleanleness, comfort, and peacefull.gorgeous little gem in lincolnshire..highly recommend this cottage. the worst thing was leaving to come home after a lovely weekend,we dont look for faults, but if we did i dont think we would find any..
- Bozz (8/5): clean & tidy and comfortable; good value for money and easy to find with a satnav, would revisit. - Nice and quiet- 10 mins drive to a Tesco’s. clean and tidy and hosts polite- stayed for 2 nights for a wedding, good value for money. curtains could do with an update so they don’t let the sun in so early & wifi would be great as signal is shocking as out from the town centre.
- Terry (9/5): Good . Would go again but take food with us. - No food included very isolated,3miles from woodhall spa. Breakfast, as it's so isolated.
- Rob (10/5): Really really nice - Absolutely stunning conversion, really well done. hosts were amazing, couldn’t do enough for us Garden was nice but not enclosed
