- Amanda (8/5): Nice relaxing break - Lovely property, unfortunately did not use the hot tub due to rainy weather. The mattress was a little uncomfortable, could feel some of the springs poking through, apart from that everything else was good.

- Siân (10/5): Great place to stay - Lovely little place to stay for a couple of nights.
The place was clean, the staff were friendly and we really enjoyed our stay.
We had a friends wedding nearby so didn't have chance to use the hot tub in the time we were there as it took a bit of time to set up, but Alan and Laura sent video guides and instructions for how to use things and that was very helpful!
We would definitely recommend staying here!
- Dawn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victoria (7/5): Overall very good. - Clean, tidy, modern caravan. Good location for exploring the North East.
Once set up, hot tub is great.
Peaceful location with no traffic & crowd noise. Good for a rest.
Helpful owner. A few minor things require improvement (owner informed directly).
Not the owner’s issue but the bar lounge never seemed to be open and poor recycling facilities.
- Olli (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (4/5): We didn’t stay as would not feel comfortable and not at a standard we expected. - Location Needed new carpet/rug as stains, also needs new sofa, although cleaned, still had marks on arms. No room to put clothes due to outdoor cushions in there. Very old bedding and flat pillows.
- Gillian (8/5): Lovey . - Lovely van and site.nice and quiet. The staff in the shop absolutely so helpful pointing us in direction of where to go, and eaterys near the site. Slight hitch with hot tub, but no ones fault. There could also be a basic welcome pack coffee tea ,even just a few sachets of coffee and sugar . Didn't spoil our stay .
- Dawson (10/5): Fantastic family experience! We'll definitely be back. - The caravan and hot tub were fantastic! Beautiful location too. Nothing!
- Hayley (9/5): Lovely stay - Beautiful lodge in a lovely location great to escape after the chaos of christmas. Alan is very helpful and informative. Any questions or problems, he responded very quickly. The lodge is very spacious and decorated lovely with everything you need. The WiFi also worked great! The hot tub was great fun and very private, where you could watch for the squirrels and birds. Neighbours were friendly and didn't bother you at all. It was great we could take our dogs with us who loved relaxing on their new christmas bed in the living room. Nothing spoilt our stay and would definitely return.
- Mcgregor (7/5): Lovely location for a weekend away - Beautiful setting in Northumberland only 20 minutes away from Hexham and Corbridge.
Well maintained caravan with all home comforts. Hot tub was fantastic, could see the stars, we got clear instructions how to work it from the owner. Lots of wood for us and fire lighters. Slight issue when we arrived with boiler but owner and park staff amazing came and fixed the issue and wasn't long until we had heating and hot water. We spent hour so eating and drinking in site club house.
- Simon (10/5): Canny little place - I really enjoyed the novelty of the wood fired hot tub, if any lads are after a gift for their girlfriends whilst also wanting a little project for yourself then this place is perfect. The place was squeaky clean and all of the neighbours were lovely people, couldn't ask for a better weekend getaway. There was nothing to dislike.
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laylah (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was clean and there was a great selection of amenities on the caravan itself. Fully equipped, no need to buy extra. Washing up liquid would t have gone a miss. But we took some anyway. There wasn’t much to NOT like. It was great value for money. Decorated and furnished great. Instructions for hot tub clearly left.
- Liam (9/5): Excellent accommodation in beautiful quiet park - Lovely comfortable property with all the mod cons needed for a short break. Located in a quiet part of a small park with beautiful surrounding woodland walks. The hot tub once warmed up was an added bonus and great fun. The onsite staff were helpful and friendly and the towns of Hexham and Corbridge a 15 minute drive away. The community pub the Rose and Crown in Slaley was tremendous value for money and along with this property very dog friendly. Nothing
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sophie (10/5): Lovely clean place with lovely walks and loved the hot tub - Had a lovely 2 night stay , clean and comfortable hot tub was lovely and people on site were nice would definitely come back here N/a
- Charlotte (10/5): Amazing place that I highly recommend - Property was clean and spacious a little home away from home beds were comfy and had everything u needed in it. The park it sits on is a really lovely place it’s quite but has a lovely Forrest walk around a park for kids and a bar onsite. We didn’t get to use the hot tub this time but will defo be back again Nothing all was great
- Edžus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracey (9/5): The property gave us a comfortable bed for the two nights - The home was very comfortable and well equipped No towels provided.
Due to the hot tub being log fuelled and the reason for our visit we did not get time to use it
- Jenny (7/5): Nice little trip - Lovely neat little static caravan. Had all the necessary facilities and was relatively comfortable. There is a hot tub, but we didn't get to use it due to the weather. Loved going into town and seeing Hexham Abby (well worth a visit!) Couldn't stay for more than a couple of nights. Hot tub instructions were long and complex. Thankfully, due to the weather, we didn't have to try it out. Park is down a single track road and some distance from the main town.
Parking in town or surroundings requires a park disc.
- Claire (9/5): Enjoyable stay, would return for longer - Very modern, clean & pleasant caravan in a nice location, hot tub looks lovely but we didn’t use it as had a family wedding & we didn’t have time. Very clear instructions from the owner on gaining access & using the facilities. Mattress on the beds wasn’t very comfortable, but that’s just our experience, everyone has different preferences of comfort.
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely caravan, lovely location. The neighbours in the next caravan along were not welcoming at all, voiced their opinion whenever we put the jets on the hot tub even as they were leaving to go out for most of the day so they weren't even there to hear them. I dont think they like having a caravan next to a rental
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (8/5): A quiet relaxing few days - The use of the hot tub and the quiet location made for a relaxing time n/a
- Jalena (10/5): Exceptional - It’s a home away from home. We felt disconnected to the hustle a bustle of the everyday but also we have everything we needed in the property. Spotless home, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable sleeping areas and friendly neighborhood. We get to enjoy our privacy and really relaxed in the warmth of the tub! It was a fab experience all in all.
- Young (10/5): Beautiful countryside stay - Lovely stay with the family in a beautiful scenic countryside location. Such warm and friendly people at the site also making the stay that much more enjoyable. Lovely hot tub, perfect for the perfect spring weather with the family. Amazing woodland walks a mere stone throw away.
- John (8/5): Good stay but some tweaks needed to make perfect - Good location. Not as secluded as I thought as right next to other two caravans but quiet part of the site as mentioned. Hot tub was good once sorted. Hot tub set up and after cleaning was not enjoyable. Would be better to have cleaner sort this as impacted on stay. Husband and I had to spend hours sorting hot tub at start and an hour cleaning on the morning of departure. Not really a relaxing end to a short trip.
Popcorn and mess under sofa still and noticed this from a previous review before our stay.
Cafe on site closes Tuesdays and Wednesday right while we were there so ended up driving to waitrose and eating off site. Not an issue but would have been good to know this in advance to plan meals.
Shop onsite is poor but this is not owners issue.
Lovely warden. Although does not manage private caravans he helped us during our stay.
Door was hard to unlock at times. Would be worried if there was a fire.
- Claire (7/5): Nice location - The location is so peaceful, lovely walks with the dog. Hot tub was relaxing after a busy day. The site has everything you need. The caravan was a little disappointing. The cleanliness was definitely in need of some attention!! Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, on the plants and above cupboards. Popcorn under the sofa. Food on the dining chairs. Dog slaver on windows. Seat covers outside when put out were covered in mud. The blinds inside the van were all marked, the chains were all snapped and trailing the floor.
Expecting a 'retreat' this was very disappointing!
- Allan (9/5): Slaley Retreat excellent - Fantastic location.
Caravan / hot tub fantastic.
Nice and quiet to recharge batteries. Hot tub took 4 hours from start to finish to be ready for use🤣
- Terry (9/5): Superb - Quiet location Nil
- Nick (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (10/5): An extremely relaxing enjoyable stay. - The site was extremely quiet and relaxing. Hot tub was an excellent feature. Had a calm walk through the woods surrounding site. The caravan was warm and cosy. It had everything we needed home from home. Provided cleaning materials to use. Books were available and Tv had Netflix too. The decent vacuum cleaner could have been helpful. I like to keep my home tidy.
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional - Clean . Iydillic lodge
- Kyle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanne (10/5): Peaceful. - Clean, comfortable, warm and peaceful.
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - It was a home from home stay, Everything you needed it was there.,we couldn't fault it. The hot tub was the best bit by far. The shop could sell a bit more of a range of products, there was
no milk.
- Georgia (9/5): Superb - Out of way location quiet nice little break loved the hot tub was nice n clean didn’t take much to fill or warm up. Restaurant on site could be bigger as it was packed trying to eat
- Gary (10/5): Lovely place, Italians on site was really good too - Hot tub is spot on, stayed in a lot of caravans over the years but think thats the nicest one yet Nothing to dislike, shouldve gave my self more time to fill the hot tub on 1st night though
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (10/5): Lovely quiet location and modern accommodation. - Really nice caravan, lovely quiet location, good pub on site although dogs not allowed in so if raining your knackered, reasonably priced aswell. .
